I do understand where you are coming from, i don't know much about the new law about digital forensics in Nigeria.
Can an individual or group register with any govt body to practice as independent forensics expert?
I guess until someone tries to do that-the region of constitutional law-who can tell?

Average rtd personel in Nigeria or anywhere 4 that matter does not want 2 be the guinea pig of experimentation. One thing I assure you is that Nigerians are very smart and agressive in advertising!

I still can't make sence of the structure of the training outfit suggested by despam and yamakuza.

Do you think that any Forensic agency formed outside Nigerian law will be recognized in court of law?
No.
But there no such agency 4 now and foreigners has actualy bn recognized by the court in Osun state some 3yrs ago in the multiple thumprinting issue! A training institute will not be allowed to transform to an agency, an I believe like in Germamy forensic experience and requisite training comes by manx route. I am hoping the Nigerian factor is not already playing out.

I hope u get where am comin from.
Will try to join anyway grin

I don't really know much about JW, but what i know about them is mis-interpretation of the words of GOD, and their false teaching about CHRIST. But it's not all about critizing them, but knowing the truth, and act according to the words of God, coz, God has a Standard, which can never be changed or manipulated by anybody. My brother, after dis-fellowshipping yourself from them due to their false doctrine(according to you for now) how do you want to continue with your spiritual life?
this is false out of igorance. Only few churches teach the truth about christ, that's y milliöns of xtians can't defend their beliefs where a moslem is tearing down the gospel bc we have been fed with mis-knowledge. Usualy, only a JW and a few others can confront a moslem sucessfuly w/out blindly sticking to senseless church lithurgy.

Christianity EtcRe: What Is The Truth About Jehovah Witnesses by quest55(m): 5:09pm On Oct 30, 2011
jaidopor:
I grew up as a Jehovah witness and my family is well reknown in the western part of the country (Ilesha) as prominent Jehovah witness family. Presently, i am not an active witness because of what i have seen happening in most congregation i have attended and the organization as a whole.

If you are a witness, please answer the following questions

1 The Watch Tower library only contains publication that was release after 1950. Why? Ask the elders in your congregation and i am 100% sure that you will not have it in your congregation library and if you insist, you will be threaten with apostasy and dis-fellowship like i was

2 Why was the presents of Jesus Christ coming change from 1875 to 1914 ( it was change in 1920) - If you are a witness, you will not know this because no publication after 1950 mention it. If you need the book - herald of Christ presence-, i can send you the PDF

3 Why was the date of Armageddon change from 1920 to 1925, from 1925 to 1950, from 1950 to 1975? The explanation for 1975 Armageddon day was ludicrous. The Governing body made a mistake in calculating the date. Please check the internet for this

4 Do you know that the society join the United Nation for 10 years from 1991 to 2001? During this time, the membership was renew every year and the Governing Body (GB) and the society as a whole only dissociate themselves after the knowledge became public.

5 Please, research the Beth Sarim and Beth Shan and what the Society says about this

6 Why the doctrinal changes in 1995 about the generation that will not pass before the end of the world. It was the core believe that JW holds but it was change because the generation that witness 1914 are nearly all dead. It was change to overlapping generation in 1995 to account for the shortage of their prediction

If you are a witness, answer this question please and make sure you research your answer very well
i am a deacon and retired soldier(but nt tired). I served in edo state. Stop waisting ur time on all those things. Go to igieduma headquaters and you will see the books.
all books after a certain time are out of print and JWs always refine their beliefs.
Dates & prophesies by JWs always reflect present understanding: 1914 was correct as end of an age not end of world.
History of all events are documented book "JW, proclaimers of God's kingdom" am surprised u did not mention that this book exists and is free. I got it for free on my very first visit to their headquaters in edo.
JWs are d only few religious org that united jews and palestinians (i saw it while visiting Tel Aviv in 1999) also black and white during apatheid in 1970.
Have you the courage to say which religion succesfully thwarted Adolf Hitler's resolve to force all Germans to support the wars.

Judge strange doctrines carefully!!

CISA or any other ISACA cert might get you further than CISSP.

Another thing, since you are outside Nigeria, getting experience should be easier.

Plenty of online security jobs, especially Penetration Testing and CyberForensics.
The pay shouldnt matter at this stage na?

Hope you've googled those companies? If you package yourself very well where you are, you can even give them a run for their money.
you mean even one with a masters degree in computer forensic still can not fit anywhere 4 a start?!

Christianity EtcRe: Child Abuse In My Church by quest55(m): 9:42am On Oct 25, 2011
Fasting - dry or wet - is not OBLIGATORY for true xtians.
Jesus who fasted 40d/n fulfilled the shadow of fasting prescribed to the Jews under d law given to moses. That is y he did not make any issue of it when his disciples were accused of not fasting.
Fasting therefore is personal after the ransom sacrifice of the lord was applied on behalf of mankind.
Anyone who has studied the bible will agree that no one in fasted among the prophets or apostles while suffering hunger and sickness and extreme poverty.
That church forcing fasting on children should be prosecuted for endangering the lives of infants - children below 18years - for putting them at risk of manultrition the ignorant brethren should be investated by the Lagos State Govt.
Christianity EtcRe: Is It Right for a Christian to Expose False Prophets and False Teaching ? by quest55(m): 7:10pm On Oct 24, 2011
Basito:
What makes a prophet a false prophet?.that you don't like what a man of God teaches does not make him a false prophet. And we should realise that Christianity is not based on what we feel or like or what we don't like.Rather, it is based on the dictates of the word of God.When a man goes contrary to the dictates of the word of God then your Christianity has a question Mark. For example, did God give you an office to expose false prophets?
Look at what God has told Christians in His Word(Heb13v17):Obey them that have the rule over you,and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account,,
But if you think you are better than His prophets, please read Romans14v4(TLB);They are God's servants, not yours. They are responsible to Him, not to you.Let Him tell them whether they are right or wrong. And God is able to make them do as they should.
It is an error on your part to do otherwise and there are consequences talking about men of God whether they are right or wrong.in Number12v1-10, Miriam became leprous for talking against Moses.
Was Moses a false prophet? Was Miriam genuinely trying to expose a wröngdoing? And was Miriam using the word of GOD (whether written or unwriten) to make her points known?
Christianity EtcRe: Is It Right for a Christian to Expose False Prophets and False Teaching ? by quest55(m): 6:49pm On Oct 24, 2011
Christians who are not prepared to expose false teachings should pray very hard 4 forgiveness. The hb says "if then a blind man (fake religious organization) leads a blind man (unsuspecting christian worshiper) both will fall into a pit". So, such blind spiritual guides must be identified first. Second, the bøok of acts-of-apostles indicated that at the exit of apostle paul or peter "destructive wolves" would enter in among the christians and maltreat the brethren. Third, all across the islamic-arab world we are seeing how dictators and head of governments have used false religious teachings to opress and supress vast sections of people. Just a month ago ideas on false religious premises PROBABLY CONTRIBUTED to encouraging people to hope and pray 4 miracle from crystal services ltd to ferry 8000 people overseas, when there were clear signals of fraud! Xtians in particular have a duty to speak up.

It will@ least be worth its while if d institute has such licenses and recognitn. The impresn i got from d website is that of one man just collecting training money, pocketing it, and advertising 4 more people to come forward for training.the police has no routine forensic lab (only 2 ill acessible labs), the efcc forensic initiative can hardly support the needed ingriedients of litigation, so where will those who pass through d cfin training hope to gain practical exp? Also ave u noticed that d amended evidence act has not recognized evidence on digital medium-only computer generated docs?! an is like no cforensic expert position is included--

Never jump into conclusion when you have not exhausted your options. Their office address is on their website if you click on Contact. The man has nothing to do with these posts. Am only trying to help. If you feel, am lying by claiming I attended some training in Kaduna when there was none then too bad. You came here looking for information and you end up insulting my person for trying to help. Thank you.

Thnks. But none of my worries were addressed on those websites and a responsible institute (charging 150k) could engage an intelligent web planner and have a decent website. Would it not be more beneficial to spend that amount of money on a foreign recognized body and get employed and much later join the party of CFIN? Also, who is DCFA?

despam:
Thanks for the information. I have not been following up to know when it was passed because am presently living outside Nigeria. That is good news and a big leap for digital evidence in Nigeria.

I sincerely will advice you to do the initial training with CFIN and become a Member if you can afford it. Don't be bothered about CFIN being a one-man show or not as long as you achieve what you want.

Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. All the best!!!
it looks like the CFIN website itself has been hacked (www.cfin.org) does this mean something? One can not verify cfin like cpn or ncs. Many so called registered bodies just collect training fees and kick your ass. Finally, what has the CFIN training or certificate achieved? Do they use dedicated resource persons or impatient facilitators? Does anyone know?

Forensics is a very respectable profession. Is there any organization providing Forensic education in Nigeria? I hear that the remuneration is very good and they have government recognition. Does any one know about a scholl offering forensic training. I saw an advert where I was asked to pay about 200,000 for a 1 week training!
