The Hell he’s talking about will he empty if such happened. Freeyourminds he has a point. Why would dead people choose to stay in hell, knowing full well Christ is leading people to heaven? |

HacheNoire: Anyone can say that! It’s very easy to say!
Requires no skill! True, but it also happens to be 100% true what he said. US learnt a lesson - if you wipe out the leaders of a country there'd be no one left to reach a firm agreement with. Especially IRGC many of whose members actually WANT to die and go relax with their 72 virgins! |

HacheNoire: Empty barrels make the loudest noise!
Doers don’t make noise! This particular barrel is not empty at all. He happens to be right - one strike will wipe out all top Iranian leadership and US will have to negotiate with multiple local war lords |

Freeyourminds: The often repeated there is no repentance after death is because the bible expressly said in Hebrews 9:27 It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.
Because there is judgement immediately after death, the dead have missed the chance to be preached to. God doesn't want anyone to go to Hell so he tries His best to stop it but it's inevitable.
In the case of the rich man, it is a long explanation but the rich man could not be saved anymore in that particular scenario unfortunately. Thanks. Doesn't the above contradict the below? Also it doesn't say some repented and Christ took them to heaven. Also, it is talking of those in the days of Noah The below talks about the preaching of Jesus to those in Hell.
1 Peter 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. 4:6For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. |

Freeyourminds: So the answer to your question is that Jesus went to Hell and preached to them and those that repented followed him to Heaven.
As for those who died after Jesus came, they are all in hell as far as we know. You cannot enter heaven without Jesus. Thanks for your answer. How about the oft repeated "there is no repentance after dearh", also the rich man and Lazarus? Can you please teach where in the Bible it says Christ preached to the dead and some repented |

Breaker001: I sincerely understand your sentiment on this. However, everyone is not the same. I know of people who have not allowed wealth or status to enter their head. I personally know someone who was married by her husband as a "poor girl" from a very poor family background but now she is 1000× richer than the husband. Yet, she adores the husband like a demigod. She honours the man like her life depends on it. She will always say: "I am who I am because of my husband". I'm telling you this from a direct experience I equally know someone who won millions of naira playing the lottery. There are always outliers but your behavior should not be based on that. Your behavior should be based on what's most likely to happen. She'd have insecurities and any perceived "disrespect" she'd think it's because she's from a poor family. There could also be genetic or spiritual element to the family's poverty. Also, that'd be your children's family. You can avoid all that by simply stepping! 😂😂😂😂😂 If you take this rigid stand, what will be the fate of these girls? Should they stay unmarried because they were "unfortunate" to be born in a "poor family"? 😂
My submission is simple: there are still good girls who happen to be born in poor families 😎 What do you mean? Are there not lots of poor guys desiring a wife? Why must you deprive them? Besides, the poor girl can be your best option when you take everything into account - maybe her beauty, maybe you're an older guy, maybe there are other factors. But if everything is equal, marry from as rich a family as possible! |

Freeyourminds: You're 100% right. These things are real. Infact they have the power to grant you your wishes on earth. The danger is at death. When you die it will be you versus Jesus.
If you don't have Him you'll never get another chance. It will be eternally too late and I don't think I'll deny that I'm trying to scare you. You should be genuinely scared. This is not a joke. You know the Bible already. Samantha125: African spirituality is real as well and I'm happy and at peace with it, so let's respect each other's beliefs and stop derailing someone's thread. How about all those ancestors who died before coming of Christianity? What's your take? I genuinely want to learn |

Breaker001: There are exemptions to this: 1) If the guy is a rich guy, and/or from a rich family background, and the lady (in question) is a humble, respectful and submissive person, he can go ahead.
Sometimes, God can bring such a man to be a blessing in the life of the lady. 😎 The big flaw in your submission is that no "humble, respectful and submissive person" from a poor family stays that way once they touch a little bit of money or power. Their main objective would be to show off, pride, etc. Best advice: don't marry from a poor family unless that's the best that's available to you (it is still better than a BAD rich family) |

Samantha125: And he just had to call me a "Bros" and "sir"...😭😭😭
No, I'm not from Anambra... Many of those Africans claiming to be Christians are just traditionalists in disguise... They're Christians to the public, but traditionalists in private because they're ashamed of embracing their African spirituality publicity due to the fear of being marginalised from the society and it's quite sad when you think about it. Never mind all that, are you sure you're NOT from Anambra? obiekunie01: The fact that 98% of those with (f) identification on their moniker are male. Hence why i see us all as male. My apologies. Moropikin: That's a clear red card offence make the USA rest If you are right, the people who make those rules ought have their heads examined. Something that is CLEARLY accidental. The most that ought be awarded is a yellow card, but best thing is warn the player to be more careful or he'll get a yellow card next time. But red card and miss the next game? TOTALLY ridiculous! |
