That's not what he said at OP. Iran violated the agreement by attacking a ship trying to make use of Strait of Hormuz. The US retaliated by attacking facilities known fir producing weapons in Iran. Iran violated the agreement again by attacking another ship, the United States retaliated.

A journalist that knows his onion knows to make sure he/she uses the word "allegedly" if he has not proven it to be true before writing out or posting anything out there. The questions you should ask yourself are the following before saying anything affirmatively about the video.

1. Am I sure it is not AI generated?
2. Am I sure that is South Africa before I write "South African police"
3. Am I sure they are not doing a military drill? whether it doesn't look like that is irrelevant
4. Am I sure it is not just some people acting or doing skit?
5. etc.

When you cannot answer the above questions affirmatively, good journalism behooves you to use the word "allegedly".

You write "video shows man beating woman" even if it turns out it was AI or they were acting.
