Sports / New Era In Nigerian Club Football As Fans FLOCK To Stadiums by Quintessence44: 6:01am On Jun 04
Football Fever grips NPFL as Fans Swarm Stadiums for games

4th June 2024

The Nigeria Professional Football League stadiums are experiencing unprecedented attendance figures, with fans flocking to match venues to support their local teams.

The NPFL matches, broadcast live on Beta Sports channel 244 on StarTimes, witnessed an impressive surge in attendance last weekend.

The iconic Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan was packed to capacity, buzzing with the energy of passionate fans.

NPFL: game Rangers v Akwa United

Surprisingly, even the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium in Lagos saw a significant influx of Enugu Rangers supporters, who travelled from the eastern part to cheer their team, while Sporting Lagos fans filled their designated stands, creating a vibrant and electrifying atmosphere.

Beyond the on-field action, fans are transforming match days into a vibrant fiesta, overflowing with lively moments, infectious joy, and a shared passion for the beautiful game.

Also, the games are getting better with viewers attesting to their improved quality even on live telecasts.

Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina, as well as stadiums in Aba, Enugu, Jos, Kano and more are not left out with huge turnout of fans when their teams play at home.

“Fans nationwide are finding their voice in a league that belongs to them,” veteran sports analyst, Mitchel Obi, said, noting that “from the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina to the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan, the beautiful game in Nigeria has become more than a rallying point for the youth populace to mix and show their joy as well as a fitting opportunity for the governments to showcase the peace and progress of their cities.”

The return of fans to stadiums has transformed match days into a nationwide celebration of football. The vibrant colours, passionate chants and infectious energy emanating from the stands have created an unforgettable atmosphere that is drawing in new fans and rekindling the love for the game among long-time supporters.

With four games remaining in the season, the NPFL is poised for an exhilarating finish. The title race is wide open, and the battle for a top-three finish is intensifying, promising an enthralling climax to the season. Enugu Rangers will host Enyimba of Aba this weekend in an oriental derby which could be a title chase decider.

This is new to me. But one begins to wonder why the government isn't facing the frequent attacks and displacement of farmers seriously despite the fact that the country is facing a serious food challenge. Maybe there is something we don't know

They may all be in cahoots.

These are cult people, plus Gates himself.

Carrying out their 'New World Order' agenda.

Even Obi and Atiku are part of them, plus Tinubu.

So it doesn't matter who among them is president, they will still carry out the NWO agenda.

They will all welcome Bill Gates to Aso Rock with smiles and handshakes.

You don't need to be a rocket scientist to see that this Boko Haram/Bandits stuff is foreign instigated and funded.

At this point, Divine Intervention seems to be the only way to stop them.

Kobojunkie:
1. What I instead meant is that all 4 Gospels — Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John — were written within the 40-year period that is the death of Jesus Christ in 31-33AD and the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem by the Romans in 70AD. We are not certain exactly when the writing began but we are certain they were written before the destruction of the Temple. undecided

2. Unlike the Law of Moses, there was no command from God to Jesus Christ that He must be written down in the books. undecided

3. Again, you have several Gospels written of Him within the period instead.

4. You forget that not long after Jesus Christ, the entire city of Jerusalem was destroyed, many of His followers killed off, and about 2/3rds of the people scattered all across the many other nations. So, the fact that the Gospel stories survived all that chaos and turmoil is a miracle on its own. undecided

What a load of lies and garbage.

You said: ..all 4 Gospels — Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John — were written within the 40-year period that is the death of Jesus Christ in 31-33AD and the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem by the Romans in 70AD.

THIS IS A LIE.

The gospels were written AT LEAST 70 YEARS AFTER the 'death of Jesus'.

''Modern scholarship tends to date Mark’s Gospel around A.D. 70-75, Matthew around 75, Luke around 80-90, and John around 90-100.''

I am afraid the statement in bold is false. The evidence contained in the writings in fact point to the Gospels, including the letters of Paul as well as the Book of Revelations, having been written in the years before the destruction of Jerusalem which took place in about 70 AD, barely 40 years after the death of Jesus Christ. undecided

Is it 40 years you are calling 'barely'?

Why would nobody write a SINGLE WORD about ''a whole son of GOD'' who came and performed all kinds of 'miracles' including raising the dead, and gave sermons to thousands, was publicly crucified, and raised himself from the dead before flying up to heaven before onlookers?

And not a single world about his existence until a full 40 years AFTER he flew to heaven?

What.. did they run out of ink after he departed?

Y'know, maybe we should research if there was a really terrible mass ink shortage after his ascension, that lasted over 40 years. undecided

Oby Ezekwesili is a HYPOCRITE.

She complained about the use of the word ‘tribe’ in the anthem, but she uses the word in her speeches!

She has been quoted using that word MANY times in her speeches and conversations.

Her hypocrisy wears a hat and carries a walking stick, as her Igbo elders would say.

Politics / Re: Create More States To Devolve Power Further? Not Regionalism??? by Quintessence44: 5:05pm On Jun 02
KnowAll:
Since the LG system has collapsed it would make sense to create more stated knowing that the Governors are emperors who push development in their respective states if they so wish.

One can see that last exercise was a success. Akwa Ibom state came out of CRS. But today Akwa Ibom is more developed than her parent state which is CRS.

Same thing Gombe state and Bauchi, Gombe is one of the best run states in Nigeria. And it is highly developed when compared to Bauchi.

See the level of development in Delta state today, if it were still part of bendel state the development would be a far cry.

The SE needs one more state. Create a state around Lake Chad foreshore to take care of that area.

Oke ogun state from oyo state is long over due.

Create a state from Niger State, it being the largest state in Nigeria and it seems to have a lot of ungoverned spaces.

Instead of going to one silly regionalism creat more states to spread development.

What do you think.

The idea sounds sensible on the surface, but the problem with it is that it makes it more difficult to cooperate for required large scale projects that cater to regional interests, for instance water, power, road, and rail projects, and even regional economic policies that will lead to greater prosperity if all the people of the region are in line with it.

You might also encounter more unnecessary duplication of projects, such as new airports, including international airports, as we already see happening today.

What we really need is a regional system in which the leaders elected would need to operate on a higher level, mentally and operationally.

They need to transition from a state governorship mindset to a regional governance mindset, which is midway to a national governance mindset.

Their vision and ability to think big, and make big plans for their regions must be a prerequisite for their election by the regional electorate.

To bring governance closer to the people, they can create counties, or what we call LGAs, but smaller than our LGAs.

Each region can have around 50 to 100 counties that will be overseen by the regional govt.

If government can reason, they can change those words pointed at - tribe and native.

The tribe may be change to 'ethnic' while native land could be change to fertile land.

Same thing I’m thinking.

They just need to adjust the words slightly and remove archaic terms.

Funnily enough, NIGERIANS use the word ‘tribe’ daily and with reckless abandon, but are complaining over the use of ‘tribe’ in the anthem.

No one should doubt the authenticity of hell

So as you are now, a grown man with a dck, you actually believe the Creator of the Universe has a burning furnace that he will throw billions of people into to burn in screaming agony for TRILLIONS OF YEARS INTO INFINITY, because of the “sin” they committed in a brief 70 year human existence, of not “accepting” his ‘son’ as their “personal lord and saviour”.

You actually believe that shiit?

Would YOU do that to your Creation if you had godly powers?

I mean, damn….

Tell me something..

What type of enjoyment can you possibly be having in heaven that will make your conscience ignore the billions of people screaming in agony in the ‘lower floors’ of hellfire?

Are you a sadist?
