helinues: It's because they don't REALLY CARE about honouring the dead. If they did, they would make it a voluntary thing and build a beautiful war memorial where people can visit on the day and put flowers etc, all on a voluntary basis, as is done in saner climes. This forced ''sit at home'' is a militant, toxic, malicious, ANTI-NIGERIAN, secessionist Statement of Intent, and they are simply using the civil war dead as a FRONT in their real, nefarious, treasonous agenda. 3 Likes |

helinues: The problem is not about honouring their loved ones. The problem is about terrorists FORCING millions of people to SIT AT HOME against their will. It's a direct contravention of their constitutional rights to freedom of movement and freedom of association. Rights enshrined both in the Nigerian Constitution and the UN Charter on Human Rights. Article 13 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that: "Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each state." "Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_of_movement It's actually the crime of FALSE IMPRISONMENT on an epic scale that is being committed in the East by these terrorists. Why is Peter Obi silent on this FASCIST, UNCONSTITUTIONAL ACT, and is he actually taking part in it? 4 Likes |

I'm really interested to know if Peter Obi observed the Sit At Home. I just want to check something in terms of my choice for president at the next election. Because the very last thing I wish to do is vote for a secessionist IPOB sympathiser as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, especially after he was heard calling for a religious war. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfhpeA5D2Bg&t=69s&ab_channel=ObjectvMedia 3 Likes |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Donald Trump Found Guilty In Historic New York Hush Money Case by Quintessence44: 1:48am On May 31 |
Forget these Americans and their wayo. Somebody was found guilty of 34 felonies, and was seen walking out of the court and even making speeches abusing the judge and the court. What kind of nonsense is that? They are even saying he can still contest the election in November! It's a total charade and a sham. One rule for rich white Americans, another rule for blacks and the common man. Common man or black man, even 1 single felony count, you're handcuffed and bundled into jail from the court. Scam country. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: New National Anthem - The Grand Hypocrisy Of Oby Ezekwesili by Quintessence44: 1:19am On May 31 |

Politics / New National Anthem - The Grand Hypocrisy Of Oby Ezekwesili by Quintessence44: 12:58am On May 31 |
In response to the national anthem change, Oby Ezekwesili posted the now infamous tweet: ''Absolutely incredulous! “Native Land” . “Tribes”. In a 21st Century Nigeria, the country’s political class found a colonial National Anthem that has pejorative words like “Native Land” and “Tribes” to be admirable enough to foist on our Citizens without their consent. It is inevitable that there will be an ideological War between the Political Class and the Citizens of Nigeria. It is only but a matter of “When?”'' ......... In 2019 Oby Ezekwesili published a statement, following her withdrawal from the presidential race. In the statement, she wrote: ''I am thankful to all who travelled on this journey with me, who attended our campaign events, who volunteered for the movement, who spread the word and sometimes argued with friends and colleagues, who contributed and invested online and offline. Thank you to the young people who accepted and owned our campaign, to the women – my sisters and comrades – who worked and walked with me, to every believer and supporter from different TRIBES, states, religions and walks of life. You all are champions. Your sacrifices continue to humble and inspire me and I will never ever forget...'' https://www.tvcnews.tv/2019/02/a-sacrifice-for-our-new-political-order-dr-oby-ezekwesili/ So SHE uses the word 'tribe' in her personal conversations and communications, but she turns into SAINT MARY because it was included in an anthem? If it is a demeaning, pejorative colonial word, why the hell do you use it, Oby Ezekwesili? As your people would say, your hypocrisy wears a hat and carries a walking stick. FreeStuffsNG: This thing you posted is not as rousing and inspirational as the anthem. The main thing is that in AFRICA, the pace of a song does not determine its inspiring effect. That might be the case in EUROPE, but not in Africa. IN AFRICA, it can be fast AND inspirational. It can also be SLOW and inspirational. By limiting inspiration effect to slow-paced music, you are being unduly influenced by European convention. |
Politics / Re: The New National Anthem - A Beautiful, Triumphant Rendition (Vid) by Quintessence44: 11:16pm On May 30 |
FreeStuffsNG: I disagree. We are not Europeans. This pace inspires us more than slow. Instead of feeling the vibe, you're already thinking of how white people do their own, to see if yours sounds like theirs. Dem jazz you? |

Politics / Re: Has Peter Obi Said Anything About IPOB Sit At Home Today? by Quintessence44: 6:51pm On May 30 |
11Monkeys: Tinubu is a sensitive president who doesn’t want to inflame ethnic passions more than they have already been inflamed. It’s the security agencies’ job to tackle criminality there, which they are doing. Why isn’t Obi playing his role by asking IPOB to stop oppressing the Igbo people, and forcing 50 million of them to sit at home? 2 Likes |
Politics / Has Peter Obi Said Anything About IPOB Sit At Home Today? by Quintessence44: 6:45pm On May 30 |
The entire east has been forced by IPOB terrorists to sit at home this week, in direct contravention of their human rights and Freedom of Movement enshrined in the UN Charter. Has Peter Obi said a word about any of this gross abuse of the human rights of 50 million people in the South East ? 1 Like |

He should have at least commended the commissioning of the Abuja Light Rail. The man only reacts to negative events. I don’t want someone of such petty character to be the President of Nigeria. He lacks the political maturity and sophistication required for such a sensitive position. 5 Likes |

Religion / Re: White Jews And Black Egyptians by Quintessence44: 5:51pm On May 30 |
The word “fair” does not necessarily mean “light skinned”, and does not mean that in the quote. It meant she looked pretty or attractive. Both the Egyptians and the Israelites were black Africans. Foreign invasions caused them to depart those regions, and the vast majority of them headed back into inner Africa, and we are their modern descendants. |

RoyalUc: They think everyone reasons like them, with their primitive mentality. You can see how Obi would have seen it as an insult for him to sit on a small chair while the minister sits on a sofa. That’s their backward level of reasoning. Humility is “weakness” to them. |
Politics / Re: You Hate The Old Anthem Because It Attacks Your Tribalism by Quintessence44: 5:20pm On May 30 |
gidgiddy: YOU are the unity beggars. YOU fled Igboland in your tens of millions to go and live among Yorubas and Hausas, and then you call THEM “unity beggars”? Explain that one to me! If you want to secede, it’s not by insulting Nigerians on Nairaland and doing sit at home. You get your Igbo reps in the National Assembly to table a motion for secession. Simple! |
Politics / Re: You Hate The Old Anthem Because It Attacks Your Tribalism by Quintessence44: 5:09pm On May 30 |
Ndibunna: SO WHY ARE YOU SETTLED IN THE NORTH AND WEST IN YOUR TENS OF MILLIONS? WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERE AMONG PEOPLE YOU HATE AND CANNOT STAND? If you feel this way, you should not be in their land in such huge numbers. You should be in UMUAHIA, ENUGU, ONITSHA, AWKA, ABA, AND ABAKALIKI. You don’t even need a new country to actualise your sentiments. It’s called voting with your feet. YOU ARE FREE RIGHT NOW TO DEPART EN MASSE, since you are not compatible with them. So what are you doing on THEIR land, yet you are complaining loudly about them every day? Who sent you there? |

gidgiddy: Thank you sir. After all the whole world is just waiting to receive and welcome an ethnicity of drug dealing, narcissistic African malcontents in their tens of millions. Keep fantasising rubbish. Since the world is a big place, why did you settle in the north and west in your tens of millions when you could have moved out into the “big world out there”? |
Politics / Re: You Hate The Old Anthem Because It Attacks Your Tribalism by Quintessence44: 4:46pm On May 30 |
gidgiddy: NOT THE SAME THING AT ALL. If you people secede from Nigeria, which is a treasonous and traitorous act, you will be DEPORTED EN MASSE from Nigerian states BACK to Igboland. In your TENS OF MILLIONS. You will become FOREIGNERS AND ILLEGAL ALIENS in every Nigerian city and state, and required to show your residence permit to every police officer on request. You will be Hounded out by Nigerian police and people. You cannot eat from two plates. Woe betide you if you are in the North. Those ones that have been waiting to drive you away since, you now declare SECESSION and think they will just let you sit down there with them? 15 million of you? Mr Man, if you think you will secede and still be rolling around in Lagos, Abuja, Kano in your millions as it is now, you are the most deluded people on the face of the earth. |
