PoliticsRe: I Will Declare My Assets Publicly – Buhari by Quote1: 8:41am On Feb 20, 2015
Billyonaire:
Assets Declaration and Presidential Debates are conducted before election NOT after, Buhari, do not put the cart before the horse. Show up for a debate.
Is that the reason the drunkard from Otuoke hasn't declare his?

Haha. Don't know where Yaba is. I'm kenyan. But I'm in the states now.

Here are some of the works that made me so familiar with Nigeria:

- Nnamdi Azikiwe's Autobiography
- Some works by soyinka (I've only read snippets of Soyinka coz he's too smart for me)
- "The Nigeria Civil war" by John st Jorre.
- A host of works by Achebe.
- Multitude of short stories by Nigerian authors.
- I've read three books by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
- " Sunset in Biafra" which is a criticism of Biafra by Elechi Amadi who I think was an Efik man or something.
- A host of historical vignettes on Nigeria.
- "My Command" which is Obasanjo's autobiography of the civil war with a focus on his role as commander.

Essentially, I've read a lot about Nigeria and know quite a bit about it. And I just discovered nairaland last week.
You know so much about Nigeria. What do you know about Efik ethnic group?
PoliticsRe: Akiolu Slams Obasanjo, Denies Endorsing Buhari by Quote1: 6:38am On Feb 20, 2015
barcanista:
You see when you shout change, you are expected to bring something different from the norm but it seems the reverse is the case in your own case. As far as I can recall, Obj has not been given any chance to participate in the government, that his exParty men flocks to him as a former President and leader does not make him a changed man.

As for GEJ, I cannot support executive rascality, but I have never seen where a Governor is embarrassed out of Office by less than 2/3 of State Parliamentarians. This is a FACT!
The case of NGF is an irrational one. The Nigeria Governors' Forum is like a Market Women Association, it is not recognized by the constitution and the parliament. So whatever goes on their is there business and not that of Nigerians. No one has arrested Amaechi from holding his NGF meeting neither has anyone arrested Jang. Mimiko can wake up tomorrow and form his own.
The cases of Ekiti and Ogun(2010-2011) are condemnable, however, there is the court to go settle issue and get illegality upturned. I also condemned in strong terms the assault on judges.

During Obasanjo era, less than the required number impeached Obi of Anambra State, the court upturned it. Yet it took the appeal court to rule before Obi was reinstated.
5 Members impeached Governor Dariye, the Court Upturned it.
18 out of 32 members impeached Ladoja, they sat in a hotel, the court upturned it.
Atiku Abubakar was "sacked" by Obasanjo, the court upturned it.
INEC under Obj arrogated powers to themselves to disqualify Atiku, the Court Upturned it.
Obi, Mimiko, Oshiomole, Aregbesola and Fayemi were denied their mandate under OBJ, the Court upturned it.
Need we go on?
I'm in no way defending or in support of OBJ's deeds when he was in power. But for you wanting to paint GEJ as a saint is hypocrisy. You sound balanced though.

A good move, if it is never too late.
I marvel at the naivety of these online politicians shouting 'OBJ has no political weight'.
But someone in PDP has contrary opinion

barcanista:
Anyone going back to this Obj for navigation and direction needs to tell us what has changed between the Obj of 1999-2007 and Obj of today.

barcanista:
Any one going back to this navigation and direction needs to tell us what has changed between the Obj of 1999-2007 and Obj of today .
Yes, we need Mr. President, Sule Lamido, etc. To tell us while they keep running around beginning Baba.

Obj used 5 members of Plateau state House to impeach a governor
Like we are not seeing this under GEJ undecided

Allow me quote vanguard here:

”Under President Jonathan’s watch and with his tacit support, a few lawmakers dictated to majority of the members of the Ogun State House of Assembly, which was locked for a long time. Under President Jonathan’s watch, the Nigerian Governors’ Forum was sabotaged by his minions who declared a Governor with 16 votes a winner over the one who scored 19 votes, in a injurious blow to the concept of democracy.
"And under his watch, five lawmakers – out of 32 – have become the majority and, simply because they have the backing of the presidency, are now being given police protection to disrupt the proceedings of the House.

We know better. No one expects them to admit they collected the money. But come 30th of May 2015, CAN or no CAN, President Buhari will not spare any hands guilty of any form of corruption or the other.
