Politics / Nnamdi Kanu Victim, Not Villain – IPOB Lawyer Tells Ohanaeze Meeting With Tinubu by Radicalwarrior(m): 11:57am On Oct 16, 2023 |
Nnamdi Kanu victim, not villain – IPOB lawyer tells Ohanaeze ahead of meeting with Tinubu Aloy Ejimakor, the Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has reacted to the imminent meeting between Ohanaeze Ndigbo and President Bola Tinubu over the agitator’s continued incarceration. Ejimakor said Ohanaeze should be guided by the fact that Kanu would have been released if the Nigerian government complied with court orders. Posting on X, the lawyer said Ohanaeze should be informed that the Biafra agitator is a victim, not the villain. Ohanaeze President, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, had disclosed plans to meet with Tinubu over the need to release Kanu. He disclosed this on Saturday during a courtesy visit to the leadership of the Supreme Council of Nigeria Traditional Rulers, Southeast chapter led by the President, HRM Eze Iheanyichukwu Nwokenna of Abia State, at his Glass House Orji-Owerri office complex. He said the planned visit to the president is centered on all issues bothering the people of the South East geo-political zone. Iwuanyanwu stated that the move to push for the release of the secessionist from the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS, became necessary following the worsening security situation in the region. According to him, some persons use Kanu’s name and his incarceration to perpetrate crimes in the region, saying they are only after their selfish interest. Reacting, Ejimakor posted: “In meeting with Tinubu, Ohaneze should be strictly guided by the fact that MAZI NNAMDI KANU would not be in detention if Nigeria abided by the law in not subjecting him to extraordinary rendition; or complied with the court orders to release him. He’s the victim, not the villain.” https://dailypost.ng/2023/10/16/nnamdi-kanu-victim-not-villain-ipob-lawyer-tells-ohanaeze-ahead-of-meeting-with-tinubu/ 3 Likes

Politics / Court Frees Seven IPOB Supporters, Fines Police N130m by Radicalwarrior(m): 11:21am On Oct 16, 2023 |
The Indigenous People of Biafra has secured a court victory for about seven supporters of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, said to have been arrested and illegally held in various detention centres by security agencies. Kanu’s counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, said the court did not only discharged the IPOB supporters but also awarded N130m in damages in their favour against security agencies. According to the lawyer, in the charge marked ‘FHC/ABJ/CR/475/2021, Justice M.O. Olajuwon of the Federal High Court in Abuja discharged Maria Ezediaro “of all frivolous criminal allegation/charge brought against her before the court.” Ejiofor said, “She was arrested on February 26, 2021 when she visited the State CID, Owerri, Imo State Command to give food and medication to her friend who was detained there, and was subsequently transferred to the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team detention facility in ‘Abattoir’, Abuja, where she was subjected to all forms of inhuman treatment, severe torture and degradation. However, following the refusal of the police to release her or charge her to court, we filed a fundamental rights enforcement suit on her behalf before the Federal High Court Abuja. “Still on our application, she was granted bail by the court on April 21, 2022 and consequently released to us upon perfection of the bail conditions. On October 10, 2023, following our application and submissions before the court, the Federal High Court, Abuja per Hon. Justice M.O. Olajuwon struck out the four counts of terrorism filed against Mrs Maria Ezediaro and consequently discharged her. “Also Justice V.S. Gaba of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja discharged the Pastor of the Holy Trinity Sabbath Church, Orlu Imo State, Cletus Nwachukwu Egole; his wife, Ifeyinwa Egole; a prophet of Jewish Faith, Michael Uba, Ugochukwu Samuel; and Raphael Idang. The court also granted them N100m compensatory damages against the police.” They were said to have been arrested and subsequently paraded by the Imo State Command of the Nigeria Police on March 21, 2021, and subsequently transferred to the IGP Intelligence Response Team detention facility in “Abattoir”, Abuja. “Justice Z.B. Abubakar of the Federal High Court in Abuja also ordered the release of Ngozichukwu Ada-Dav and awarded N30m compensatory damages in her favour,” he said. “Ada-Dav was arrested in June 2021 by a team of fully-armed operatives of the Nigeria Police Force and thereafter taken to the IGP/IRT located in Ikeja GRA, where she was detained in unlawful custody till July 3, 2021, when she was transferred to the Garki Command of the Nigeria Police, notoriously known as the Abattoir.” https://punchng.com/court-frees-seven-ipob-supporters-fines-police-n130m/ 3 Likes

Politics / How Yorubas And Northerners Politicians Sponsor Arrest Of Mazi Kanu From Kenya by Radicalwarrior(m): 8:03pm On Oct 09, 2023 |
The yorubas and northerners politicians were able to use the Northern consensus movement as means to achieve their evil plans to arrest Nnamdi Kanu secretly in Kenya and put him to death but their plan to kill Nnamdi Kanu secretly in Kenya failed because the secret arrest of Nnamdi Kanu in Kenya was exposed to media houses and therefore they could no longer kill him rather than bring him into Nigeria. The foolish ones call yorubas politicians, northerners politicians sponsored the Northern consensus movement with 100 million naira bounty for anyone or group who could capture Nnamdi Kanu for arrest. The yorubas and northerners politicians traitors are still jealous for not achieving their jealousy goal of betraying an innocent man (Nnamdi Kanu) to death: this yorubas and northerners politicians will suffer for the wrong they did to Nnamdi Kanu out of their jealousy and greediness. The yorubas and northerners politicians with their criminal partner northern consensus movement might rejoice that they have succeeded in arresting Nnamdi Kanu but they forget that the consequences of their actions awaits them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4qFWT9ta2c&pp=ygU5Tm9ydGhlcm4gZWxkZXJzIHBsYWNlIDEwMG0gYm91bnR5IGZvciBObmFtZGkgS2FudSBBcnJlc3Qg Northern Consensus movement place 100,000 million naira bounty on IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu 2 Likes 1 Share

Unite for Nnamdi Kanu’s release, businessman tells South-East govs The Chairman, Zinox Group, Leo Stan Ekeh, has called on the five South-East governors to collaborate on the release of detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu. In a statement made available to The PUNCH on Sunday, Ekeh said the governors should take it as a one-point agenda to President Bola Tinubu, noting that a positive outcome would quell the restiveness in the South-East and usher in sustainable prosperity. Ekeh made the call at the 2023 South-East Summit on Economy and Security in Owerri, Imo State, saying no concrete investment or development could take place in an atmosphere of tension and insecurity. He urged the governors to put aside party affiliations and forge a common front to press for the release of the Biafran agitator, Kanu. ‘‘We must first take steps to secure the release of Nnamdi Kanu as this will instantly bring about a measure of calm and sanity in the region. Kanu is a critical factor in the security issues of the South-East. President Bola Tinubu is not a stubborn or inconsiderate leader. I am sure he will listen. When he was Governor of Lagos State, he took the advice of some of us to include deserving Igbos in his cabinet and this was how Ben Akabueze emerged,’’ he counseled. https://punchng.com/unite-for-nnamdi-kanus-release-businessman-tells-south-east-govs/?amp 2 Likes 1 Share

Politics / Pardon Kanu, Igboho To End Disintegration Threats, Ohanaeze Tells Tinubu by Radicalwarrior(m): 10:23am On Oct 02, 2023 |
Independence Day: Pardon Kanu, Igboho to end disintegration threats, Ohanaeze tells Tinubu The Ohanaeze Ndigbo socio-cultural organization has urged President Bola Tinubu to grant an unconditional pardon to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), and Yoruba Nation freedom fighter, Sunday Igboho, to the sacrifices of late nationalists like Nnamdi Azikiwe, Obafemi Awolowo, and Ahmadu Bello. In a statement to mark Nigeria’s 63rd anniversary yesterday, the factional Secretary-General of Ohanaeze, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, said the unconditional freedom of Kanu and Igboho would help alleviate the disintegration threats facing Nigeria. He urged the Federal Government to use the occasion of the 63rd Independence Day anniversary to demonstrate a commitment to unity and peace, in the “spirit of the sacrifices made by the nation’s founding fathers.” Ohanaeze Ndigbo stated that: “The 63rd Independence Day anniversary of Nigeria on the 1st of October 2023 will be observed with mixed feelings. While the nation is celebrating its freedom from colonial rule, it also grapples with the ongoing tensions and political unrest within its borders. The apex Igbo organization, in particular, reflected on the significant contributions of Nigerian Nationalists towards achieving independence in Nigeria in 1960. “Dr. Nnamdi Azikwe, a Pan-Africanist and prominent Igbo leader, was one of the key figures who led the struggle for Nigeria’s independence. His efforts, along with those of other nationalists, were instrumental in achieving sovereignty for Nigeria. However, the current political climate has led to a resurgence of calls for secession, particularly from the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. “The detention of Kanu by the Federal Government, led by President Tinubu, has been a source of tension and controversy. Many Nigerians are questioning the government’s actions, particularly as they contrast with the lack of prosecution for Yoruba activist Sunday Igboho. Both activists have been vocal about the need for improved security and economic conditions in Southern Nigeria, a cause that gained traction under the previous administration of President Buhari.” The Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex Igbo socio-cultural group, called on President Tinubu to consider the unity of Nigeria above other interests. They pleaded for a Presidential pardon for both Kanu and Igboho, arguing that this would honor the sacrifices made by Nigerian nationalists like Nnamdi Azikiwe, Obafemi Awolowo, and Ahmadu Bello. https://guardian.ng/news/independence-day-pardon-kanu-igboho-to-end-disintegration-threats-ohanaeze-begs-tinubu/ 2 Likes
