Edo 2024: Akpata, Satanism and Ethnic Irredentism

By Osasuyi Obadigie

The Labour Party, LP, candidate in the upcoming gubernatorial election in Edo State, Mr. Olumide Akpata, has escalated his desperation in the bid to put his hands into the finances of the Edo State. The candidate, who many have qualified objectively as an ethnic bigot and irredentist, heightened his satanism through one of his witch doctors who claimed to be Dr Nwame. In a gory, grotesque and unsightly video that has gone viral, the acclaimed tongue witch doctor was seen raining curses on Barr Julius Abure, the LP national chairman, for purportedly trying to thwart the efforts of Olumide because his prefered Esan aspirant did not win the primaries.

In the video, the witch doctor was seen saying in parts; "...you are fighting Olumide Akpata because you want to stand by Esan Agenda. You collected one billion five hundred million from PDP for you to sell out Labour Party because the primary did not come to your favour...but the length you went, Julius Abure, you dey tell us Benin say we nor know wetin we dey do...Julius Abure, for you to be causing problem when you know campaign have started, and you want to be bringing problem to Labour Party...and for us not to stand and fight our enemies...Abure, you will die..."

After his several satanic curses and incantations targeting Abure, the aclaimed doctor invoked the god of thunder against him.

The part that was most savagery was when he used his teeth to cut the throat of the live chicken, drank some of the raw blood and put some on the foot of a three he claimed was an Iroko.

There have been public outcry since the video went viral. "The government must as a matter of urgency, arrest this man. This is animal cruelty," Esosa from Oredo Local Government Area, LGA said. "This man is a vampire. The government should arrest him immediately," Ogie, a Facebook user said. "Akpata is more desperate than Senator Monday Okpebholo. Akpata knows he should have dropped from the race since because he has nothing going on for him - obidients are all gone back to their respective parties. He is also handicapped by the issue of Justice, Equity and Fairness. Every normal person knows its the turn of the Esan people, why should he be contesting when his relative from Edo South is just leaving power? I don't know how these big men think." This was rationalized by Yesuf Imana in a WhatsApp platform.

Condemnation has continued to trail Akpata for orchestrating the satanic convocation of evil and illegality even as a lawyer who ought to know animal cruelty is a crime.

A Dinner interview with Chief Dr. Augustine Alimhanga Ojiezele: Assessing The Inspiring Journey Of Senator Monday Okpebholo

Henry J

Last night being 29th May 2024, I had the privilege of sitting down with Chief Dr. Augustine Alimhanga Ojiezele in his palatial residence in Abuja for a dinner interview.

Our conversation centered around his assessment of Senator Monday Okpebholo, a man who has risen from the ashes of poverty to become a shining example of success.

As we savored our meal, Chief Dr. Augustine shared his thoughts on Senator Okpebholo's remarkable journey. "From the criticism he has faced, it's clear that Senator Okpebholo has broken free from the cycle of intergenerational poverty," he began. "Despite his humble beginnings, he refused to be defined by his circumstances. He worked hard, persevered, and today, he stands as a testament to the power of determination and hard work."

Chief Dr. Augustine emphasized that Senator Okpebholo's ability to empathize with the poor and understand their struggles intimately makes him an ideal role model for the marginalized. "He has proven that with the right mindset and support, anyone can overcome their challenges and achieve greatness," he said.

As we delved deeper into the conversation, Chief Dr. Augustine highlighted Senator Okpebholo's exceptional qualities as a leader and champion for the poor. "His commitment to serving the marginalized and his ability to relate to their struggles make him an ideal advocate for their rights," he noted. "His leadership has inspired hope in countless individuals who feel seen and heard through his efforts."

Throughout our dinner interview, it was clear that Chief Dr. Augustine holds Senator Okpebholo in high esteem.

He sees him as a beacon of hope for the poor majority, someone who has walked in their shoes and understands their plight.

"Senator Okpebholo is a great man who the poor must identify with," he said. "He was like them, and he alone can be sympathetic and feel the pain of the poor."

As the evening drew to a close, I left Chief Dr. Augustine's residence with a deeper appreciation for Senator Okpebholo's inspiring journey.

His story serves as a reminder that anyone can achieve greatness, regardless of their background or circumstances.

He is a true role model and champion for the poor, and his legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.

It was a political tsunami experience in Uromi the administrative headquarters of Esan North East Local Government and Edo Central Senatorial District's as the Former Edo PDP Guber Aspirant, Hon. (Dr). Felix Godsent Akhabue, aka JOEFEL, led other Legacy PDP Leaders and Members in Edo Central to collapse the PDP into the APC and pitch tent with APC guber candidate, Sen. Declaring the defection into the APC to people in Uromi, the former Edo State commissioner for wealth creation, Youth Development, and Cooperatives said, “their movement is attributed to the injustice melted out him and others Aspirants in the state party primaries as masterminded by the incumbent state governor, describing the exercise as tyrannical, and stage-managed to favour an anointed godson.

The former First Vice President, World Conference of Mayors, and ALGON National President said, he joined the APC before to work with the incumbent governor because he perceived that working with him was the best ways of encouraging him to support an Esan to be the next governor in a democratically organized free, fair, credible and transparent process, unfortunately, they didn't know he had ulterior motive.

The Former Esan West Council Chairman said himself and others couldn't imagine a situation where some purchased Political Goalkeepers would go to the extent of shutting the door against every other aspirant after collecting so much money in millions from them. He also blamed the PDP National Leadership who subtly became helpless after swallowing what seems bigger than their throats out of the Edo state coffers.

The MD/ CEO of JOEFEL-SUPREME Conglomerates LTD explained that he became a supporter of the incumbent simply because he felt that his words and promises of a better Edo were his bond. He reflected on the extent of security interest and concerned showed by well meaning Esan sons and daughters including the APC candidate Sen. Okpebholo, himself, and others under the able supervision of Gen. Dr. Cecil Esekhaigbe who is the APC Edo central senatorial leader some few years back when the helders terrorist were taking over Esan bushes and environment, with the farmers abandoning their farms and means of livelihood, and the PDP candidate name and Concerns was never seen nor felt during this period even as a major adviser to the state government.

“It is true we are joining the APC because the primaries conducted were not in accordance with the PDP constitution. Myself and other aggrieved party members decided to petition the National Headquarters of the party on the outcome of the governorship primaries with a view to addressing the obvious injustice but met a brick wall.

“We were expecting justice from the party’s national office but nothing was forthcoming, hence we decided to join the APC.”

Hon. Akhabue thanked the leadership of the APC for the reception accorded them and promised that they will work to ensure the APC, Akpakomiza and his running mate Denco wins the gubernatorial election clean and clear.

The Chairman and Others who in turn assured them of fairness and equity in their new party, promising that they would benefit from every opportunity regarding the welfare and contributions of members without sentiments.

“We welcome you to our great party, APC as new and former members, and assure you of all rights accrued to the rest of our members.

The Governor in waiting, Senator, Okpebholo who who couldn't hide his emotions affirmed that in the history of defection from one party to the other, he has never seen or witness any so loaded, organic, and convincingly so assuring one like that he was seeing which is not fake or full of manipulations. He therefore thank the defectors and assured them and all citizens that Edo of our dream is highly realisable when he eventually get into office as the Chief Executive. He also appealed to all to see him beyond the usual phoney and fake dispositions that has characterised by some others who are claiming what they have never been, but in the deceptive and counterfeit mode.

Earlier before arriving Uromi, the APC candidate Sen. Monday Okpebholo aka Akpakomiza was at Emuhi in Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State to resolve the lack of electricity challenge that has bedeviled the community since the past years with a practical commitment to the Electricity Distribution Company.

Edo 2024: Stop the Greed Okpebholo

By Iyamu osamudiamen impactvision

Now that it's election time, I have just a simple reason for not promoting his ambition, yet again. Monday Okpebholo should not canvas for votes a second time when his mandate is still running. Akpakomiza, as he the All Progressive Congress, APC, gubernatorial candidate is also called, is a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. A serving senator who knew what he wanted, begged his senatorial district for votes, with lofty promises, the people believed him, he swore not to disappoint them or abandon them. Just a year down the line, it's a fresh ambition. Must he be the one to go there? One leg in the senate, one leg digging for gold at the governor's office. That to me is not only selfish, it's a betrayal of trust. How can the people trust that the same Akpakomiza will not abandon the mandate and take up a ministerial position if he is offered by Tinubu?

Akpakomiza makes one feels that the Esan people have no other candidate, but a serving senator.

As If to further show desperation, the running mate, Hon. Dennis Idahosa, AKA Denco, is also in the National Assembl as a representative, and ready to betray the people that gave him the mandate. Why are we so insensitive? Both governorship and the running mate are people who were not ready, in the first place, for the elective position. It appears they were not sure or prepared for legislative business. They didn't understand the calling. They went in there only to discover that they were/ not the right persons for the job. It's a shame. You cannot campaign through the length and breadth of your district, only to abandon your mandate.

My message to Honourable Akpakomiza, as a friend, is simple: Kindly concentrate on the mandate in your hand and deliver the dividends of democracy through legislative advocacy. You knew you were the best and most qualified. You told us that you knew what you were going for. Why does it now seem you are confused about your role as a senator? Please, we have not reprocessed you for any other position yet. You have over three years as a senator to redeem your mandate and provide the dividends to the people.

I have nothing personal against your ambition. Except that you appear not to have the political focus. Please, get back to your seat at the senate because your people cannot suffer non representation, as it seems. To me, you have abandoned the seat and your running mate too has.

As the Edo State people go to the polls, we dont want to remind you of this betrayal.

For now, the position of a governor in Edo which becomes vacant as from September, is for for Dr Asue Ighodalo.

Edo 2024: PFN, CAN endorse Ighodalo for governor

.....Ighodalo hints of Ecumenical Centre, Thanksgiving Day for Edo if elected

The Edo State chapters of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on Saturday endorsed the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the September 21, governorship election in the state, Dr Asue Ighodalo and his running mate, Barr. Osarodion Ogie, as their candidate of choice.

The endorsement and prayer rain for their victory in the coming election was the highpoint of the PFN’s 2024 Edo State School of Ministry at the PCU-PFN administrative headquarters by Egba Junction along Benin-Auchi Road. The 2024 version of the yearly event which was tagged: ‘Walking in dominion’ had over 100 ministers from various ministries in attendance.

Speaking at the occasion, PFN state Chairman, Pastor Dr. (Mrs) M.O. Agbonifo, said the Christian body was delighted to have Ighodalo and his running mate present with them and that they had no single doubt that they were the best pair for the top job in the state.

She said the PFN had sought God’s face and got assurances that Dr Asue Ighodalo is without doubt the right man for the job and that he would be the next governor of the state. She then added a humorous angle to her speech when she declared that another candidate also from Edo Central had approached them with a promise of a Coastal Bus but delivered a Sienna, saying it was akin to a man promising to give a cow but delivered a goat, to which the gathering roared in laughter. She then wondered if a man who made a promise before God and failed would ever honour any promise he could have made to man.

Also speaking at the event, Edo State First Lady, Mrs Betsy Obaseki, who represented Governor Godwin Obaseki, expressed gratitude to the Church for the immense support given to her husband both in 2016 and 2020 and which it has now extended to the candidate of the PDP. She added that, "I correct the sacrilege committed by the other candidate by donating the Coaster bus, because we value the church and hold it in very high esteem”. She was particularly thankful to the PFN and CAN for adopting and accepting Ighodalo as the church’s candidate.

The State CAN Chairman, Apostle General, Dr. Irekpono Omoike, then formally announced the endorsement and led the outpouring of prophetic prayers for the success and victory of Ighodalo and his running mate at the election.

In his acceptance and appreciation speech punctuated with intermittent applause and shouts of approval, Ighodalo expressed gratitude to the Church, saying he was really humbled by the gesture. Ighodalo on behalf of himself and Ogie promised a 100KVA generator for the administrative centre.

“Permit me to express my profound gratitude to this august body of Christ. I am really humbled by the trust and confidence reposed on me. And I promise you, I won’t disappoint you or let you down. I wish to say this, too, that Edo State, like some other states, should have an Ecumenical Centre as a further step to fostering unity within the Christian faith in Edo State and we will ensure everybody has the freedom to practice and observe his faith without let or hindrance .More also, we will institute an Edo Thanksgiving Day, a day set aside in the year to thank God for everything. More so, on behalf of myself and my running mate, we will provide a 100KVA generator to power this administrative centre. We will ensure these happen when we come into office,” Ighodalo assured.

In a brief speech, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo of the Trinity House Church, Lagos, who is the younger brother of the candidate, emphasized that the election in September transcends partisan contest and that it is essentially a contest between the forces of light and darkness in Edo State. He said that anyone who had come across his brother would know that he represents light and that he would light up Edo State. He then pledged to donate N5 million Naira towards fuel for 100KVA generator promised by his brother.

Edo Decides: Who is Osaigbovo Olumide Akpata?

By Ogie Imasogie

When he contested as the President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), his name was Anthony; when he joined the Labour Party, his name was Anthony; in the case with Anderson Uwadiae Asemota, the Labour Party factional governorship candidate in the State, he said on oath that his name was Anthony not Osaigbovo; his name submitted to INEC is Anthony; in the list of candidates published by INEC, his name is Anthony; in his Labour Party Certificate of Return, his name is Anthony, and in his voters card his name is Anthony, even his call to bar certificate bear Anthony.

Who then is Osaigbovo that we now see in the many billboards that were commissioned by him? At what point did he transfigure from Anthony Olumide Akpata to Osaigbovo Olumide Akpata? Or is Anthony and Osaigbovo different people? Is he just trying to lie and deceive Edo people just for the selfish goal of swaying voters on the basis of ethnic validation and sentiments?

Edo voters really need to know who they are voting for. A man with 'chameleonic' characteristics cannot be trusted with Edo commonwealth.

A man that can manufacture a name to deceive, fraudulently misrepresent and misinform cannot be trusted.

Who is Osaigbovo Olumide Akpata?

Edo 2024: Edo voters asks court, INEC to disqualify Akpata over forged identity, fraudulent misrepresentation

…insist Labour Party guber candidate deceiving Edo people, name is Anthony not Osaigbovo.

…court gives ruling on Monday.

By Ogie Imasogie

There is palpable panic and tension in the camp of the Labour Party in the Edo State and its gubernatorial candidate, Olumide Akpata as some voters in the State have filed a suit before an Edo State High Court sitting in Benin, seeking the disqualification of the party’s candidate over alleged forged identity, fraudulent misrepresentation and deception of electorate in the State.

The claimants in the case with suit no. B/372/2024, said the civil name and identity of the Labour Party candidate is Anthony Olumide Akpata and not Osaigbovo Olumide Akpata as he now claims for ‘selfish electoral gains’.

The case is set to be heard on Monday, May 06, 2024 before Justice Joy Okeaya-Inneh  of the Edo State High Court.

“We want the Court to consign him to present himself as Anthony Olumide Akpata and stop parading himself as Osaigbovo Olumide which he now uses to deceive the Edo electorate.

In the writ of summon made available to our correspondents, the claimants represented Prof Ike Aghaosa , Comr Osadebamen Okhilua and Comrade Marxist Sunday Ogun, urged the court to stop Akpata from participating in the September 21 polls, to tender an unreserved apology to the claimants who are Edo voters, a corrigendum in newspapers, television and radio stations, retracting the misinformation and fraudulent misrepresentation and a punitive fine of five million naira.

Some exhibits attached to the document include Akpata’s affidavit of support in the case against Anderson Uwadiae Asemota, the factional gubernatorial candidate of the Lamidi Apapa-led faction wherein he  stated that his name is Olumide Anthony Akpata and not Olumide Osaigbovo Akpata as sued by the defendant; the list of candidates published by INEC where his name appeared as Anthony Olumide Akpata, and his Labour Party Certificate of Return with his name as Anthony Olumide Akpata, among others.

“When he contested as the President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), his name was Anthony; when he joined the Labour Party, his name was Anthony; in the case with Anderson Uwadiae Asemota, the other Labour Party faction in the State, he said on oath that his name was Anthony not Osaigbovo; his name submitted to INEC was Anthony; in the list of candidates published by INEC, his name was Anthony; in his Labour Party Certificate of Return, his name was Anthony, and in his voters card his name is Anthony,” a source who spoke to our correspondent on the condition of anonymity said.

He further queried: “Who then is Osaigbovo that we now see in the many billboards that were commissioned by him? At what point did he transfigure from Anthony Olumide Akpata to Osaigbovo Olumide Akpata? Or is Anthony and Osaigbovo a different people? Is he just trying to lie and deceive Edo people just for the selfish goal of swaying voters on the basis of ethnic sentiments?

“Edo voters really need to know who they are voting for and this is why we are in Court.”

Some sections of the writ of summons cited by our correspondent reads, “A DECLARATION of this Honourable Court that the Claimants being eligible Voters in the forthcoming 21st September, 2024 Edo State gubernatorial election and are wont to rely on truthful, honest and decent communication by and/or on behalf of candidates of political parties and political parties in making informed choices with regards to who to vote for, and the Claimants are entitled to being communicated to bona fide, truthfully, honestly and with candor by candidates and political parties participating in the said election to be conducted by the 3rd Defendant.

Come out of hiding, surrender to EFCC – Ortom tells Yahaya Bello

The former Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom has advised the immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello to come out of his hiding and surrender himself to the Economic and Financial Crimes Communities, EFCC.

Ortom gave the advise Sunday at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Regional Headquater in Makurdi during the thanksgiving service organized by his former appointees to mark his 63rd birthday anniversary.

He said it was improper for the former governor to go into hiding when called upon by the anti graft agency to clarify issues bordering on his tenure as governor.

He noted that the act of evading the invitation of the anti graft agency and trying to flee would bring shame and disgrace to former governors.

Ortom said, “let me use this opportunity to advise my younger brother and friend, former governor Yahaya Bello not to disgrace former governors.

“If you are called to come and account for your stewardship by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, go there.

“You do not need to hide from EFCC, you do not need to resist arrest or anything. Go there and explain. EFCC are human beings who are doing their work.

“If they are making inquiries, the laws are there. I have tried to get him on phone, I could not, I tried those around him, I could not. I want him to note, wherever he is, if he can hear me from there, he should go before the EFCC.”

The former governor who lauded his former appointees for celebrating him at 63 said “I did not know that I am still being appreciated after leaving office. This gesture may make me come out of my hibernation.”

He said being in power as governor for eight years was not an easy task given the challenges and restrictions imposed on you and those who wanted to see you, while in power, by security details.

He said “you live like a prisoner, you are restricted and many people you would want to see, you are unable to see them while those that want to see you will not be able to see you because of the security restriction. And some will hate you thinking it was deliberate.

“I know that it is not everything I did that favoured everyone and it was not everything I did that favoured me also, that is the fact.

“That is why I always encourage everyone of us to pray for leaders, pray for our President, Governors, political office holders and others including the clergy.
We are all prone to make mistakes as human beings because we are not perfect, prayer is very important.”

EDO APC: Monday Okpebholo governorship bid receives boost

The bid by the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo has received boost as the 'Project 2024', a support group in the party spread her tentacles across the state.

This is as the group met with political leaders across the Edo three senatorial districts at the weekend.

The convener, Dr. Omon Ebosele explained in a statement on Monday that their conviction underscored their unwavering commitment towards ensuring the emergence of Sen. Okpebholo.

According to the statement, "We are resolute and determined that the group which is mainly constituted by professionals and youths, among other major stakeholders, lead the way to the victory of APC and its candidates at the forthcoming polls.

"As part of our determined efforts to secure a total victory for the duo tickets of Senator Monday Okpebholo and Rt Hon Dennis Idahosa in the September 21st gubernatorial election, we have renewed our strategy and double our efforts to deliver the APC governorship flag bearers by making consultations across the three senatorial districts to give the group comprehensive coverage. And our findings are positive," the statement added.

There were new entrants into the group at the weekend.

"Our new members have also been charged to see the project as their project. We see their desire. We see their zeal and excitement. The project is our collective project irrespective of tribe, religion and culture.

"A new Edo is coming that will be more responsible, considerable, humane, with empathy, that's what the APC candidate represents."

He however called on Edo people particularly the youths to support the candidacy of Senator Monday Okpebholo and his running mate, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa ahead of the state governorship poll slated for September 21, 2024.

BEHOLD THE BEAUTIFUL BRIDE OF OSADEYBE AVENUE BECKONS

In the spirits of the exigency of present charged up political topical realities and conversations,I am inherently inclined to ruminate and juggle our consciousness around the personage of Hon Senator M.Okpebholo and his walk towards becoming the Governor of Edo State.

Humanity has always been subsumed, inundated with transformative phases culminating into palpable tangible events and outcomes and leading to positive disruptive developmental changes.

Undoubtedly, ideas visions and actionable goals shapes our world into transcendental growth and transformative developments.

A purposeful and iconoclastic idea whose time has come breaks down all barriers and obstacles to shine and glow into unparalleled unbridled fruition and acceptance.

In this sense,it’s pertinent to encapsulate rather unequivocally that Senator M Okpebholo emergence as the flag bearer of APC in the forthcoming Edo State elections is an idealistic momentous indication of an idea whose time has come-he is the rave of the moment that everyone should reasonably pander to and readily identify with without hesitations or scruples.

Resoundingly loud in the lips of rational citizens and netizens in and beyond Edo State is the very unmistakable ubiquitous voices, agitations, drumming, clamoring, for the easy going, down to earth, soft spoken, unassuming, humane, humbleness personified mien of Hon Senator M Okpebholo whose time has come to become the Governor of Edo State.

Typically, analogically and apparently the difficulties encountered with attempting to stop a moving train is the same struggle and resistance cum obstinacy to be overcome all attempts to stop the movement of SMO trains into Osadebey Avenue.

Interestingly, but ironically rumor mill and social media tends to be irreverently awash with arguments and postulations for or against and about the antecedents and benevolent overtures of SMO in the past as indices, parameters and anecdotes or measuring yardstick for future performances upon emergence as Governor….and l am simply miffed, wondering and asking rhetorically for the umpteenth time a subliminal regurgitation of our memories as to the performances of our erstwhile Governor Oshiomhole Gov Obaseki,Gov Igbinedion,Gov Odigie Oyegun
before they became Governors of Edo State??

I will be stultified and jolted into coalesce, condescension and submission if one can point at a meaningful remembrance of any grandiose project or remarkable charitable contributions they made in their respective local governments or senatorial zones prior to their being elected as Governors.

Suffice to state that I am struggling to decipher the rationale behind the conversation that previous acts of charity and projects done becomes a major political indicator and justification for becoming a Governor of Edo state.

Therefore and rightly so,it aggregates to cheap assailable blackmail all attempts to profile Hon Senator M Okpebolo on the basis of his personal acts of charity as a vicarious lens of assessment and for voting him into Office as Governor or otherwise.

He is irrevocably the beautiful bride of Edo Politics whose time is now.
An impeccable candidate with no baggages. He is his self cheerleader.
He is your everyday people person who operates an open door policy.
He is a rare silent achiever and an astute leader with pedigree of talking less but doing more.
He is an asset and a gift to Edo State

He is not your regular run of the mill boastful politician who speaks with both sides of the mouth denigrating with prism alluring lies uncensored

In the main, the whole essence of political participation is intended to make policy decisions that could shape up and lead to definitive changes, gains and democratic reforms for the generality of the public interest.

And l boldly posit unapologetically that voting Hon Senator M Okpebholo as Governor of Edo State is a wise choice to make come Election Day cos he will walk the talk by matching words with actionable and transformative deliverables of democratic dividends upon becoming the Governor of Edo State.

Nairaland / General / Transforming Healthcare In Edo State: Senator Monday Okpebholo's Vision For A He by Radioesannews: 1:06pm On Mar 23
Transforming Healthcare in Edo State: Senator Monday Okpebholo's Vision for a Healthy Tomorrow

In the pursuit of a healthier Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, also known as Akpakomiza, has laid out a comprehensive agenda aimed at addressing the longstanding challenges plaguing the healthcare sector. Recognizing that health is indeed wealth, Senator Okpebholo's vision prioritizes the establishment of a robust healthcare infrastructure that ensures access to quality services at all levels of care.

At the heart of Senator Okpebholo's healthcare agenda lies the Edo Comprehensive Health Care Package (EDCHP), a multi-faceted approach designed to revolutionize healthcare delivery across the state. The EDCHP encompasses initiatives targeting the primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare sectors, each tailored to meet the unique needs of Edo's diverse population.

In the primary healthcare sector, Senator Okpebholo aims to revitalize and upgrade existing facilities while expanding coverage to underserved communities. Through strategic collaboration with local government authorities, the plan calls for the establishment of 192 Primary Health Centers (PHCs), one per ward, equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment capabilities. These PHCs will serve as the frontline of Edo's healthcare system, staffed by qualified professionals trained to provide comprehensive care to residents.

Furthermore, Senator Okpebholo's administration pledges to enhance the secondary healthcare sector by establishing state-owned General Hospitals in each of the 18 Local Government Areas. These hospitals will serve as referral centres for PHCs, offering specialized services and addressing more complex health challenges within the communities. By recruiting and retaining skilled healthcare professionals, Senator Okpebholo aims to combat the brain drain phenomenon and ensure a sustainable healthcare workforce for the state.

In the tertiary healthcare sector, Senator Okpebholo envisions strategic partnerships with federal institutions to bolster existing teaching hospitals and establish new centres of excellence. Collaboration with institutions such as the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) and Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital (ISTH) will facilitate the provision of advanced diagnostic and speciality care services to Edo's residents. Additionally, plans are underway to establish a full-fledged Teaching Hospital in Auchi, catering to the healthcare needs of Edo North while providing essential training opportunities for aspiring medical professionals.

Central to the success of Senator Okpebholo's healthcare agenda is the implementation of robust oversight mechanisms. Health care committees will be established at every level of the EDCHP, tasked with monitoring performance indicators and ensuring accountability in service delivery. Moreover, a dedicated desk officer within the Governor's office will oversee the rapid response to healthcare-related issues, enabling timely interventions and efficient resource allocation.

As Senator Okpebholo embarks on this transformative journey, his unwavering commitment to the health and well-being of Edo's citizens serves as a beacon of hope for a brighter future. With a focus on accessibility, affordability, and quality, his vision for a healthier Edo State holds the promise of prosperity and progress for generations to come.

In the words of Mahatma Gandhi, "It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver." Senator Okpebholo's dedication to realizing this truth underscores the urgency and importance of prioritizing healthcare as a fundamental human right.

Senator Monday Okpebholo's commitment to transforming healthcare in Edo State extends beyond mere rhetoric; it is rooted in a deep-seated belief that every citizen deserves access to quality healthcare services, regardless of their socioeconomic status or geographic location. His vision for a healthier Edo State is not merely a campaign promise but a solemn pledge to uphold the fundamental right to health for all.

By prioritizing investments in healthcare infrastructure, human resources, and governance mechanisms, Senator Okpebholo seeks to address the systemic challenges that have plagued the sector for far too long. Through strategic partnerships with federal institutions, academic hospitals, and community stakeholders, he aims to build a resilient and responsive healthcare system capable of meeting the evolving needs of Edo's population.

Moreover, Senator Okpebholo's emphasis on primary healthcare represents a paradigm shift towards preventive and community-centered care. By empowering local communities with access to essential health services at the grassroots level, he aims to reduce the burden on secondary and tertiary facilities while promoting early intervention and disease prevention. This proactive approach not only improves health outcomes but also reduces healthcare costs in the long run.

In the secondary healthcare sector, Senator Okpebholo's plan to establish state-owned General Hospitals reflects a commitment to decentralizing healthcare services and bringing care closer to the people. These hospitals will serve as hubs of excellence, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and staffed by skilled professionals capable of addressing a wide range of medical conditions. By investing in infrastructure and capacity-building, Senator Okpebholo aims to alleviate the strain on tertiary facilities and ensure equitable access to specialized care across the state.

At the tertiary level, Senator Okpebholo's vision for collaborative partnerships with federal institutions underscores his recognition of the importance of synergy in healthcare delivery. By leveraging the expertise and resources of established teaching hospitals, he seeks to enhance the capacity of existing facilities and expand access to advanced medical services for Edo's residents. Through targeted investments in medical education, research, and technology, he aims to position Edo as a centre of excellence in healthcare and innovation.

Central to Senator Okpebholo's healthcare agenda is a commitment to accountability and transparency. By instituting rigorous oversight mechanisms and rapid response protocols, he aims to ensure that healthcare funds are judiciously allocated and that service delivery meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency. His administration will prioritise data-driven decision-making, performance monitoring, and stakeholder engagement to drive continuous improvement and foster public trust in the healthcare system.

In conclusion, Senator Monday Okpebholo's vision for a healthier Edo State represents a bold and transformative agenda that prioritizes the well-being of its citizens above all else. Through strategic investments, collaborative partnerships, and effective governance, he seeks to build a healthcare system that is accessible, affordable, and of the highest quality. As Edo embarks on this journey towards a healthier future, Senator Okpebholo's leadership offers hope and promise for generations to come.

Edo PDP leaders applaud Ighodalo’s choice of running mate

…Say Ogie ticks all the boxes

By George Etakibuebu

Ahead of the September governorship election in Edo State, encomium have begun pouring in for Dr Asue Ighodalo, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, by critical stakeholders of the party in the state over his choice of Osarodion Ogie Esq as running mate.

Ogie’s nomination, well received by all and sundry, signal the crossing of a major hurdle because of the enthusiasm it is generating across the state and among party faithful.

Speaking separately on the development, several chieftains of the party applauded the wisdom of the candidate, Ighodalo, in not only going for the best of the many capable and available hands, but especially for being mindful and sensitive to the need to balance the political equation in the state. The call for equity and fairness has been a thematic issue for consideration. They described his choice as, “hitting the bull’s eye”.

The elder statesman and chieftain of the party, High Chief Tom Ikimi, said Ighodalo has taken, “a very correct and decisive step. It is accurate, wonderful and commendable”. He expressed confidence in what he called the “PDP Team”.

He opined that this ‘dream team’ will trounce any opposition in the main election to retain the seat of power in Edo State. “I am particularly happy that our candidate has made a correct decision in the person of Osarodion Ogie Esq. We now have a very formidable team of visionary, competent, passionate and people-oriented men. Ighodalo is superb in every ramification and Ogie is a thoroughly honed administrative genius. They are both lawyers of repute and share a common passion for the growth and development of the state, and above all, they are concerned with lifting people out of poverty. So we have gotten this one right and it will positively assist us in scaling the rest hurdle, and by God’s grace and the goodwill of the good people of Edo, PDP will retain the seat of power come September,” he stated.

Also speaking excitingly, Elder Dickson Imasogie, described the choice as a “good one” adding that the “PDP has very good and attractive candidates to market. It is an excellent decision, I must confess, and we won’t be disappointed at the end of the day. The running mate ticks all the boxes positively. He is a man of the people. He is loved and he loves people too. He is a grassroots man. His high position in government has never been a barrier between him and the people. So, it is a very good choice”, he said.

On his part, Senator Ehigie Uzamere, echoed the same sentiments by the other chieftains of the party. He applauded the wisdom of the candidate and scored the running mate high on grounds of competence, administrative acumen, acceptability and political balance.

“We got this right. The man is competent, a technocrat of repute, grassroots politician and well loved by his people. Importantly, this decision fulfils the political consideration for balance and fairness. So I am happy for us. Many had thought we would slip and fall here, but we have scaled this critical hurdle. Our focus now is on the election proper and God willing, victory is sure,” he stated.

Hon. Segun Saiki, Edo North PDP senatorial leader, could not hide his joy after the announcement was made. He enjoined the party to rally round the candidates, stressing that the umbrella is big enough to accommodate every willing member.

Nairaland / General / Esan, Stop Attacking Asue Or Monday: Either Is Okay! by Radioesannews: 12:44am On Mar 14
ESAN, STOP ATTACKING ASUE OR MONDAY: EITHER IS OKAY!

On a serious note, I wish to write here and hope it gets to every Esan man and Esan group in Nigeria and abroad - stop attacking Asue Ighodaro or Monday Okpebholo. Either of them is a quality option to actualize the much desired Edo Governor of Esan extraction.

I want to suggest , and advise, that going forward, let's realise that whoever becomes Edo Governor in November would be decided, to more significant extent, by voters outside Edo Central District that would definitely be divided between Monday and Asue. The battlefields would be Edo South and Edo North and Esan people ought to, more than anytime else, court their favour, not their disenchantment.

So why the face offs within Esan forums? Like a storm in a tea cup. Stop it! Asuelime, a brilliant lawyer, management expert and orator is an asset to Esanland, to Edo State. So also is Monday Okpebholo, a Senator of the FederalRepublic and community developer.

Let's be thankful that the two candidates of the two major parties are Esan. Let's also be concerned, if not alarmed, that the Labour Party is fielding a candidate who isnt a push over in politics or strategy, and who's a proven election winner over the years having won very dicey NBA election even over the traditional SANs, a non SAN himself. Let us not take for granted the kindness of the Edo North and the Edo South for ceding this opportunity to Edo Central this time. And, let's not push them to regret or review, by our needless internal squabbles by denigrating either of our both legs put forward to the Edo electorate. Let's be wiser.

What should we do instead?

Rather than attack one another, let's cultivate the political diplomacy of accepting either of the candidates from Esan as viable; support the one you prefer by selling their qualities but *don't attack or denigrate the other one you do not prefer*. That way you helping Esan get the access to power, because if you on Monday's side demonised Asue, and another one on Asue's side demonised Monday, you both advertently or inadvertently leave the battleground voters in Edo North and in Edo South to shift allegiance elsewhere, which would leave the whole District lose out from power for at least another 32 years when I would be about 80 years old - God forbid!

Let's wake up and wise up.

Either candidates have excellent qualities, and would make a fantastic Governor, that's why their various parties selected them above all other options, Let's not disqualify them before the people. Politics isn't about lying against one by another to win election, its about promoting your candidates, her or his manifestos, and your party responsibly, within the confines of the law, decency and regulations.

May God rain political high sense on Esanland and save us from the spirit of _"Gima Vale Kwa"_ - Amen.

Reeling of some of his government’s achievements over the last seven years, Obaseki stated, “We have built institutions, empowered our people with skills, and ensured they are gainfully employed and seven years after, we are ranked as one of the top States in terms of GDP growth in Nigeria.”

He continued: “In the last seven years, we have improved our security architecture, ensuring our people walk freely as the ability to restore security gives confidence to our people who come back home to invest in our State.

BENIN- AUCHI ROAD; GOV. OBASEKI TO THE RESCUE

By Amb. Tony Okonigene ANIVS, RSV

After waiting for years for the APC led Federal Government to fix the Benin-Auchi federal road, the Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki, has decided to take the bull by the horns. The Benin - Auchi road has become a travellers nightmare especially the Auchi- Agbede- Irrua-Ekpoma-Ehor axis. The road has become a death route that has claimed lives through accidents and kidnapping activities. Commercial activities, especially in Ewu, Irrua, Ekpoma and Ehor have virtually been grounded while costs of foodstuffs coming from the north have gone beyond the reach of the people.

The Federal Government had awarded the rehabilitation and dualization of the road in 2014 during the Jonathan led administration. The coming of the APC led Federal Government since 2015, has resulted in the complete abandonment of the road due to llack of funding.

In a bid to intervene, the Edo State Government, under HE Godwin Obaseki, had made several attempts to get the APC led Federal Government to concede the road to the state to no avail. Matters got to its ridiculous height when the minister for works, Engr. Dave Umahi, after carrying out some dramas while inspecting the road, allocated a paltry #200m in the 2024 budget for the raod.

In a share display of empathy and solidarity with the road users and the people of Edo State, the Governor of Edo State in a meeting with the Minister for Works on Monday 11th of March, 2024, insisted that the state government will take over the 30km stretch from Agbede to Ehor from Tuesday 12th of March, 2024. This is to ensure that adequate remedial works are carried out through partnership with high users like Dangote and Bua.

The Governor told the minister that there was no way he would allow the people along that route suffer again when the rains start pouring heavily. It is therefore expected that the people and commuters along the Auchi- Agbede- Ewu-Irrua-Ekpoma-Ehor road will be rescued from sufferings, death and loses by the determined action of the Edo State Governor to call the bluff of the insensitive APC led Federal Government who has done nothing but to keep blaming the contractors who have not been funded year in year out. This according to the Governor must stop.

The people of Edo State and commuters, especially those from Agbede, Ewu, Irrua, Ekpoma and Ehor, will be eternally grateful to His Excellency, Governor Godwin Obaseki and the PDP for confronting the APC led Federal Government head on to rescue them from going through another period of living in hell during the coming raining season.

Joshua gets second-round KO win over Ngannou

Anthony Joshua has won his fourth straight fight by securing a second-round knockout win over Cameroonian boxer, Francis Ngannou, in the main event of the “Knockout Chaos” card in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

After securing consecutive victories in 2023 with wins over Jermaine Franklin in April and Robert Helenius with a seventh-round knockout in August, Joshua, in December, cruised to a fifth-round technical knockout win over Otto Wallin, who had been expected to be a formidable opponent, especially with his southpaw stance.

Joshua has now secured knockout wins over two fighters who took Tyson Fury the distance in Wallin and Ngannou.

Ngannou shocked fans when he knocked Fury down in their bout last year and because of that performance, fans believed he could pull a shocker against Joshua too.

Joshua, however, silenced the doubters, outboxing Ngannou throughout the two rounds and he made a statement like he promised with a knockout win inside just five minutes of their fight.

The Cameroonian-born boxer needed a doctor after he was knocked out and received oxygen at the corner of the ring before he stood back up.

In the post-match conference, Joshua expressed readiness to face the winner of Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk for a chance back at the world heavyweight titles.

Nairaland / General / On Stagnated Economic Policies Of President Tinubu by Radioesannews: 2:38am On Mar 08
On Stagnated Economic Policies of President Tinubu

It is a thing of great pain and sorrow that Nigerians are only good in making noises online. They don't discharge the necessary things. Unfortunately, to as many that want to do, they don't have true sponsorship from well-meaning Nigerians. This is why Nigeria remains a nation with intellectual mismanagement.

The worst, the government has turned away from poor masses. The other arms of government that could help the citizens have been cheaply bought due to loss of integrity and accountability - this has successfully turned the legislature into a desirable classroom and the judiciary, into a desirable timekeeper. What a huge loss in democracy. Yet, some of our intellectuals are busy on aimless and useless debates to as how the past governments have destroyed the nation's economy - in a nation that nothing has happened to the natural resources; except the nonperformance and purposeless of the political leaders. Basic qualities in leadership are not found in current government and all they immaturely do, is to keep classes of criticisms. Still in the middle of this; some are still buying an idea that the government is heading somewhere better. Literally, this is a total package of shame for our dear Nigeria.

I am so downhearted due to the refusal of our leaders to do needful things they know. Everything is at their mercy to make happen. But, I can never trace why there have been downturned. Another troubling thing is wrong attachment of portfolios to insincere politicians on a course of compensation. Overlooking of immediate matters that can help grow economy, is another thing of fear. Above all, polishing failures as steps towards better Nigeria is what can definitely end the nation on time. It is on this, I am calling on president Tinubu to revert the mistakes so that Nigerians can see democratic workings, he has claimed of coming for.

Frantically, president Tinubu should know that, it is too irresponsible to ignore things that matter at the moment for these useless visits that hardly attract investors. Truthfully, who want to invest in a nation enveloped with insecurities and hardships? You must make your home sellable before possible promotions. Hence, you meet with fate of failures. Natures have nothing left to fear. Another serious issue I urge president Tinubu to urgently look at, is to place our unbiased intellectuals on economic reviews so they do to avert current hardships, and relatively to dismiss the corrupt and hypocritical intellectuals that may create inappropriate and undeserved economic policies.

Honestly, Nigeria is already a ridiculous nation. The rate in which the present government and some well-meaning Nigerians are cooking previous administrations as champions of Nigeria problems - it is a time to forget simple developments under this misruled government. Some elites blamed previous administrations so dearly for failures of delivering admirable governance. Now, I can’t see such. What is happening? Should I talk something on ethnicity and selfishness? No time for that. But, I must ask why those leaders or people who spearheaded protest actions against Jonathan’s administration are doing under this dubious administration. And for God sake, should Nigerians keep quiet in the middle of this chronic sufferings because those people are not talking? How I do wish Nigerians have retentive memories?

To see how deeply useless the government is, Tinubu and his boys keep blaming same government that logically put them in power. This is one of the biggest shames as they are rubbishing their own political party; though, just as the political party is. Again, when former presidents were always blamed for unfortunate economic crisis in the country, all of us were singing that. But, now, some of the uncultured intellectuals are encouraging suffering masses to blame their state governors. Yes. That is good. But, it wouldn't stop Nigerians from blaming president Tinubu for a misuse of oversight power on state of economy. Then, for the security matters, should Nigerians keep the blame away from the Commander-In-Chief of Armed Forces who holds power to use national security agencies? Nigerians shouldn't blame the president that has turned political affairs into family affairs; Nigerians shouldn't blame the government that is spending extravagantly amidst serious hardships; Nigerians shouldn't blame a government that has used almost a year blaming past governments, and offering empty hopes on what Nigerians can't see reasonable workings towards that; Nigerians shouldn't blame the government that doesn't want to take corrections, but with full of defensive mechanisms?

Nigerians don’t need this kind of defensive mechanism. Wisdom is needed to destabilize this mess and not a thing of displaying cleverness to fool others. In fact, how on earth can you compare Jonathan and Buhari administrations to Tinubu administration? The kind of words we need are not relatively what this administration trades. Having only eight months or so, and failures of past administrations shouldn't be the great emphases. Just kindly channel ways for representative governance. That's all Nigerians need at moment. Enough of the child plays. To all these messiness, only the citizens can help themselves out. Therefore, I call on the Tinubu to wake up to the above, and if these are not reviewed on time, Nigerians can do whatever they can do to avert these by theirselves.

ESAN DESCENDANTS ASSEMBLY(EDA)CONGRATULATES SENATOR MONDAY OKPEBHOLO AND BARR. ASUE IGHODALO.

.....Salutes Edo People for Standing with Equity and Justice

The Esan Descendants Assembly (EDA) on behalf of Esan Nation congratulates Dr. Asue Ighodalo, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on their victory at their primary polls, leadership of PDP, APC and all critical stakeholders in Edo state.

The press statement jointly signed by Prof. Oyaziwo Aluede - Chairman, Ayo Bernitie - Secretary and ESV Tony Okonigene - Dir. of information, Media and Publicity, reads in part: “On behalf of the Esan Nation, the Esan Descendants Assembly (EDA) wishes to congratulate Sen. Monday Okpebholo and Barr. Asue Ighodalo, the two candidates elected to fly the flags of the two biggest political parties in Nigeria, The All Progressive Congress (APC) and The Peoples’ Democratic Party(PDP) respectively.

“We note that given the high competition leading to the primaries of the political parties, this is not just a victory for the entire Edo State but a victory for democracy. It has made us, the Esan Nation, to be more confident that we have a state, where justice, equity and fairness will always prevail no matter the odds against such an egalitarianism. We are filled with joy that with the two political parties nominating Esan candidates, the hope of a land full of equal opportunities for all is now being realized.

“We wish to appreciate all those who made this victory possible in our life time, especially our brothers and sisters who are not of Esan extraction but who were not be-clouded with the ill-fated law of ‘negation and negation’, as we in Esan have never bought into the principle of allowing the stronger ones to swallow the weaker ones and get rid of them.

“In weeks to come, we as a formidable socio-cultural organization, will be
embarking on a “thank you” and reconciliation tours to all critical stakeholders in Edo State to further support any of these two candidates during the electioneering processes and in the election fixed for September 21, 2024.”

“Kindly allow us to mention some of the protagonists of the success. From the side of PDP, we thank the Governor of Edo State, HE. Godwin Obaseki, Chief Mike Ogiadomhe, Senator Yisa Braimah, Senator Roland Owie, Senator Francis Alemekhina, Elder Dickson Imasogie to mention but a few. From the side of APC, we say thank you to Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Mr. Lucky Imasuen, Mr. Jarret Tenebe, Mr. Lawrence Okah, and others. The roles you all played in ensuring that Edo is one, will not go unrewarded and will not be forgotten in the history of our dear state.

We appeal to all stakeholders, especially all the other contestants to sheathe their swords and be part of this historic movement of uniting the Edo people.”

“We however note with disappointment, the decision of The Labour Party (that prides itself as
champion of Equity and Justice), to cede its ticket to Edo South, a region that currently has the incumbent governor. This is to say the least most unfair. We believe that the electorates will correct this injustice through their votes in the polls.

“We cannot conclude this press release without saying a big thank you to our Father, HRM, Oba Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin. It is unequivocal that you are the father of all and a firm advocate of the elimination of any regional inequality or inequity. Your fervent prayers for Edo State will forever be a supplication for the unity of our dear state.

“Once again, we congratulate the two candidates of Esan extraction and thank all those who were instrumental to this enduring legacy.

“God bless Edo State”

NLC Protest: Obaseki empathises with Edo people, Nigerians over high cost of living

... assures sustained measures to ease suffering, hardship

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has empathised with people of the State and Nigerians over the incessant rise in prices of goods and services and overall cost of living in the Country, which has inflicted pain and suffering on the people, reassuring that his government will continue to provide measures to ease the hardship faced by the people of the State.

Obaseki spoke when he received members of the Edo State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), the coalition of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and other concerned Nigerians who were on a peaceful protest, at the Government House, Benin City, the Edo State capital, to register their displeasure over the high cost of living occasioned by the fuel subsidy removal by the Federal Government.

Obaseki who was represented by the Edo State Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Hon. Chris Nehikhare, in company of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media Projects, Crusoe Osagie, said the government stands with the people in this very challenging times.

He said, “The Edo State Government supports the protest. We identify with you because this hike in price has affected everyone. We are doing our best to see how this hardship is reduced or limited for Edo people.

“The important thing is to ensure that we are able to feed Edo people. We will do our best in terms of feeding but we don’t have power over fuel. We are doing our best to ensure all the filling stations in Edo State sell fuel at the agreed prices.

“We are concerned about the hardship facing Edo people that was why few days ago, the Edo State Government had a meeting with market women, farmers, traders, civil society groups and a host of others in the food chain at Urokpota Hall in Benin City.”

Noting ongoing efforts to address the rise in price of food, the governor stated, “The Edo State Government has put many things in place to change the narrative and help reduce the cost of food.

“Our government feels the pain of the Edo people. We want Edo to thrive and are not happy as a government that we have to protest to register our displeasure over the high rise of food prices.

“We appeal to Edo people and will make sure that the government has put in groundwork for the people and reduces the hardship.

“The farming season is just beginning. We are assisting with the preparations of land, farming inputs, and equipment and are ready for a bumper harvest. We are making sure that roads are good and reduce the cost of transportation. We are also assisting in bringing the food to the City.

“The message of this protest will be carried to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We want to also let Edo people know that the Edo State Government identifies with Edo people because of the rise in cost of living and will do all necessary to ensure Edo people don't suffer from this hardship."

Earlier, the Chairman of NLC, Edo State Chapter, Comrade Odion Olaiye said, “Members of NLC are here to register their protest on behalf of the Congress to Mr. Governor for onward transmission to Mr. President. We can’t bear hunger anymore. Food items are very high now and people are finding it difficult to eat. Things are hard for Nigerians as we call on the president to intervene.”

Nairaland / General / Jarret Is A True Friend Of The Esan People. -bossu by Radioesannews: 8:46am On Feb 22
JARRET IS A TRUE FRIEND OF THE ESAN PEOPLE. -Bossu

... Salutes the Ex- Military Marksman.

How does a man ascertain the virtues or otherwise of a true friend as we have seen in the Edo APC Governorship primary electricity is what the "Edan" of Esan Land has queried?

In responding to the question above, Bossu said, the only man he has found with an organic love for the Esan race and a ride or die to the Ex-Milititrician and leader of Edo Central APC Major General Cecil Esekhaigbe is no other than *the Nationwide celebrated Emperor Jarret Tenebe*

According to Bossu, *whenever the heirs of this generation finally sit down to write the history of the Esan Land as it relates to her identity with the APC from the beginning to the end, one name that will merit the most prominent place without ado is Emperor Jarret*, the fearless man who stood by the Esan people in the face of horror, the great hunter who took the Esan agitation to the Aso Rock and changed the narrative by putting the vehicle of the Esan oppressor in the reversed order deserves a gold medal.

In this tortuous and tumultuous history of the APC Edo Governorship primary where all voices have been silenced with only what God knows, Jarret has become the only voice shouting from the wilderness, weeping that the party should not annihilate the Esan nation from its scheme of things and matrix of programming.

Bossu continues: "I agree in totality that it's not yet "Uhuru" for the Esan people because our aggressor is not giving up on his machination - he and his glutinous and mutinous hatchet men are hell-bent that they must sustain their onslaught on the Esan race, but so far in the political battle, *may God bless the tribe of Jarret*

"Jarret is a true friend of the Esan people, I salute him for his support for the Esan people globally, and I applaud him for standing firm with us, he indeed has proven to be a true ally of General Cecil from the military days. I call on all Esan sons and daughters to keep praying for Jarret Tenebe for standing tall with the Esan people even when Col Imuse has chickened out as an errand boy. I Ambassador comrade Kelvin Aigbokhan Isesele is hailing Jaret with a standing ovation and I wish him God's protection as he has chosen to fight for the Esan people in a fight the Esan people could not have fought alone". Concluded the CEO of Bossu Holdings West Africa.

A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the corps, Ayoola Michael, noted that Mahmud was arrested on Monday, February 19, 2024, at about 1.35 p.m. following a complaint filed by a complainant (name withheld) at the Gender Unit of NSCDC.

She also stated that the suspect threatened to harm her if she ever disclosed the illicit relationship to anyone.

The commandant stressed the importance of fostering an environment where children would feel comfortable discussing any issue they may encounter, whether it be with a stranger, friend or close relative.
