Egypt existed long before Christianity came. Christianity is just over 2000 years old and came to being after the passing of Christ.

Egypt was never a Christian country as you claimed. If there was some conversion later when Christianity came to existence, it’s understandable. But saying Egypt was always a Christian state is false and doesn’t conform with historical records available.

It might hurt your preference or opinion, the fact remains that was once a Christian majority country before the advent of Islam. Go and find out.
