@Davechapelle and Lexus430, Just discovered my Dad is a British Passport holder,he gained it while working in the UK years back, He returned to Nigeria 1975 and haven't returned to the UK since then. I was born after 1983. He wants to renew his passport, I also read that the citizenship is transferable. A family friend said I will need a lawyer to help me with the process. Don't really know how best to go about it. Please I need all the help and assistance I can get.
Citizenship by decent has since been scrapped. I got mine through that means some 15years ago. But the laws have since changed. Notwithstanding you could always call up the gov.uk helpline for further assistance. I really hope its fruitful!.

Hi everyone

Very cool platform. Please would like to ask. I really dunno if anyone could help me with enough true words.

I'm relocating to the UK (Birmingham) in October. I schooled in Nigeria(Bsc) however I was born in the UK and have a british passport.

My main issue is centred around job search. I know UK is really choosy when it comes to selecting candidates for jobs and also have this preference for individuals that had their undergraduate or postgraduate education in the UK.

I would like to know my chances of getting a good corporate job when I get over there. I currently work at one of the leading banks and have only been there for a year. I'm just 24years. I really do not have the funds to pursue masters degree at the moment and can't rely on loans from the government up until my 3rd year of residing in UK.

I know it may not be easy but I just need your advice ,or if you know someone who has been in this situation before.. I wouldn't mind hearing your story.

Thank you.

Please how long does the Kpmg interview process take, applied for the experienced professional, passed the assessment, was invited for an interview, also got a mail I passed and that I would be called on in due course for the next stage, the whole process has taken a month and 2 weeks now, still waiting for their mail for the next stage.
I really can't speak for their recruitment over experienced hire. However one thing is for sure..they will get back to you. Graduate trainee recruitment takes some months. For some its a year..but since you have done an interview with them, you should be contacted soonest for either a second interview or medicals. All the best.
