Hi guys i'm new to this forum, i joined this forum because i was doing a research on igbo culture and i came across this topic on the net. I love the Igbo culture and it's people, it is a very rich and vast and culture that has withstood a alot and is still standing and that i respect in any people. After having said that, i must say that it has always been a source of frustration to me when Igbo's try to claim ukwani as igbo, growing up even in the states i had a lot of igbo people who told me i was igbo and just didn't know it, how my people are so confused (BTW, I'm from Utagba Uno) about their igbo heritage, lol, i think it is Perpostrous when a group of people try to usurp others by telling them they are a certain thing even if they are not, I've asked my parents and they have told me countless number of times that i'm not igbo!!!!, Please i find it offensive when you try to force your heritage on me, so many Ukwani scholars have done a lot of research and there are proofs that the ukwani people are not Igbo's
