24 year old Jordan Reynolds used his body as a human shield to protect his six-year-old nephew from being hit by a car at a Christmas lights switch-on. Reynolds was hailed a hero for saving the life of nephew Ashton in the incident at a shopping centre in Newport.
Both Uncle and nephew were crossing the road to see the city’s Christmas lights being turned on when the excited boy didn’t see an approaching car.
But Jordan turned his body to take the main impact as both were hit – with the uncle smashing into the windscreen.
His family say his courage saved Ashton from “certain death” in the crash on Friday night.
Ashton’s dad Grant said:
“My brother pushed him away so he hit the car first. “All he can remember was he was going to cross and a car came from behind and hit him.
“Doctors say Ashton may not have been here if it was him.”
Jordan suffered a fractured cheekbone, a broken arm, and a broken hip while Ashton escaped with grazes and bruising to his face and knee, reports Wales Online.
Jordan and his nephew were due to meet up with his twin brother Grant, 24, for the festive event and to watch the fireworks – a yearly ritual.
The car was left with a smashed windscreen from the impact of hitting Jordan who has been recovering at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport.
Ashton has since returned home – and cried when he saw his uncle’s face in the hospital on Thursday night.
Grant believes the layout of the site, with a temporary barrier between the crossing and the entrance to the car park, means there is “another accident waiting to happen”.

She said talking about the whole experience makes me sick, stressing though she is not the type keen on sex, still she is compelled to do it with her boss sometimes.
The devastated lady said that her boss was in the habit of giving her attitude at work, she said: “At work, this mad dog gives me attitude. He doesn’t know how to talk to people, he thinks he is on top of the world. Sometimes we don’t even talk because I’m having a heavy heart, but when it is time for sex, he comes around like a lost puppy looking for milk. Oh! How I hate him.
“I remember how someone said he used to work somewhere, going to work tattered. This my so called boss used to look so dirty and unkempt to the office when his boss called him and gave him clothes. Today, maybe because he is somewhere and he thinks he has arrived, he can talk to people anyhow and have sex with whoever at anytime”.
Ella stressed that going to work has become a frustrating exercise for her, as she is fed up with the harassment.
Contemplating blackmail, she said: “Funny enough, I have some evidence of his sexual harassment and I really don’t know what to do with them. I didn’t intend to come up with this, thinking I would get over the whole thing when he eventually stops. But the thought of sleeping with me at will when he has his wife at home is killing. So, I’m the one sweet for precedent sex games? I ask myself sometimes.”
“I battle with this sex bull-dog taking advantage of me and his unbearable attitude. It’s all about the sex to him. All he wants is what matters, how about what I want? He feigns innocence a lot, it is difficult for someone to know what he is capable of; but he is a green snake. Even if I speak out in an attempt to expose his wickedness, who will believe me? I’m worried sick!,” She lamented.
According to Daily Post, Ella is confused and does not know what to do with the situation in her office.

She said: “I’m just going mad. What do I do? I am not a sex material and he will not go unpunished. How do I go about this whole thing? I wish I could kill him. Going to work and getting to see this casanova drives me nuts.”

True talk+ used to 11kb/s to all networks, but can you imagine been charge #66.98 for less than 3min call. I had to change to beta talk, but i discover it's the same thing. Just 30 minutes ago MTN misplaced my N300 in a botched share and sell transaction. I called their customer service who after 30 minutes of listening to eardrum piercing advertisements decided to give me the run around asking which number I used, who owns the line, which number I sent credit to, who owns the line, how much, when and how many times I tried it. I was expecting them to ask my mother's maiden name, my height, state of origin and street I live in while at it.

After giving me the run-around and many useless questions they finally informed me their share and sell program is a third-party package not run by them directly. I wasted both my time and brainpower in futility.

The only way one can stop me from using network tweaks after today's disgrace and others I've faced from this useless service provider is if I get crippled or my head chopped off. May they never have peace during this trying period.

What did we do, or are we Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) that impose the sum of $5.2 billion due to failure to deactivate 5.2 million unregistered cell phones after the deadline. KADUNA – Governor Nasir El Rufai of Kaduna State has orderd the immediate closure of two churches, a seminary and a church-owned hospitals and secondary school all in Saminaka, Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
He said the closure was to avoid the eruption of violence among factions of the congregations whose leaderships’ positions he described as, “principally to preserve their personal interests with little concern for the common good, and the peace and security of Kaduna State”.
A statement on behalf of the governor sign by his spokesman, Samuel Aruwan Wednesday in Kaduna named the affected bodies as: Theological Seminary of Northern Nigeria, (TSNN), Shalom Comprehensive College, Assemblies of God Church, AGC, Nmbare all in Saminaka. The rest are: Assemblies of God Church (Jerusalem) and AGC Evangelist Hospital, also in Saminaka:
Reads the statement: “The Kaduna State Security Council at its 15th meeting, held on the 15th September, 2015, deliberated on the leadership crisis in the Assemblies of God Church, AGC, Saminaka District, Lere local government area of the state.
“The council discussed this matter in the context of preventing threats to the peace and stability of the State.
“The Council noted that the leadership crisis has led to disintegration of order in the church, and raised tensions between the followers of the rival camps.
The crisis has also widened to the students of the church-owned school and seminary, who are now split and divided on factional lines.
“The Council reviewed previous efforts made to resolve the crisis. It noted that these were aborted by those involved in the leadership tussle, principally to preserve their personal interests with little concern for the common good, and the peace and security of Kaduna State.
“The Council unanimously agreed that if left unchecked, the growing tension may degenerate into total breakdown of law and order in the said area, with the potential to spread to other parts of the state.
“Therefore, the Council has taken steps to preserve the peace. It has unanimously directed the immediate closure of the following:
“Theological Seminary of Northern Nigeria, (TSNN) Saminaka. Shalom Comprehensive College, Saminaka Assemblies of God Church, Nmbare, Saminaka and Assemblies of God Church (Jerusalem) Saminaka AGC Evangelist Hospital, Saminaka
“As a result of these measures, those who may be affected will be admitted into government schools or hospitals, if they exercise the option.
“The Council also directed that the status quo with regard to farmlands, houses and other assets of the church be upheld pending resolution of the leadership crisis, which is a matter before the Supreme Court.
“Kaduna State Government wishes to reiterate that it will not tolerate the use of religion and ethnicity to cause crisis in the state.
“The government has also announced that it will prosecute anyone, no matter his or her standing, that is implicated in fomenting crisis in whatever form in the State”, the statement concluded.
