sikowitz17: boss if na months, they overlook it for Ssc sometimes too... depends on who checks your documents..some officers dey overdo.. last time one female captain.. check my documents lemme go she started asking me if I smoke igbo and was asking me why my nails were dirty..that one and her colleague captain jinadu weren’t taking any chances... some other officers weren’t as through..once they check it and declear that you passed it... they hardly revisit...so it’s basically praying to meet someone that doesn’t have problem The same way during medicals.. the doctor might realize he made a mistake and beg your pardon then go ahead to redo it while some will know and give you that “that’s your luck” look |

sikowitz17: Its the same normal route..: it just looks messed up on the map... when I previewed it... it showed me to the roundabout to academy gate We are saying the same thing, the route we follow towards medical its the main route, which is up north. But all in all its still far oooh |

sikowitz17: Maps says is 15kms so by jogging or it’ll be an average of more than 2 hrs I previewed it... it’s a very long way to run or walk...and all the cadets completed it and this is the fastest route... my mind dey tell me say academy no go wan follow fastest routes From ur map nah the other way round.... U go straight up ahead then take the left cut, which is a round about, then keep going strength as though u dy go airport |

ugo4u: Those units you listed are the exclusive preserve of RC/SSC officers with the exception of Ordinance where you can also find DSSC. To your question all those units are the frontline guys, the Infantry is the queen of the battle field they are mostly the boots on ground, they also operate some motorised(Mechanised Infantry) platforms like MRAPs, APC, IFVs etc HQ is in Jaji, Kaduna. Armour guys HQ is in Bauchi they're are usually the guys leading the charge with their tanks such as the T-72s, Panhards M3 VPMs, VT4 tanks and other motorized platforms etc. The infantry follow them behind. Armour divisions are usually located in border towns, I think it was during IBB's tenure they were "banished" to faraway communities (border town) in his bid to protect his regime from coups. Artillery guys are also frontline guys but they give artillery cover with big guns such as PLZ-52 155mm SP howitzers, quad-barreled Self-Propelled Anti-Aircraft Gun system, gun mortars etc to both the armor and Infantry guys, they "soften" ground for both corps. Usually at the rear of both Infantry and armour units, when water pass Garri, the infantry guys will give the artillery guys co-ordinates to launch their big guns. They also can be embedded even in trenches with other units from where they can launch their projectiles in a situation where there is a trench to trench engagements. Their HQ is in Kachia, Kaduna. Now selection is done by the type of course you studied, though you'll be given a form to make your choice but the ultimate decision lies with the army. People that studied Geography, Geology, physics, mathematics similar courses most likely will find themselves in artillery. Majority of officers will be in infantry especially those that studied anyhow course in the university like agriculture, fishery, fashion design, baking, etc I may be wrong though, but this is usually the trend.
Modified: Irrespective of the corps you're in you can still lead operations as long as you're a Combatant officer.
You can all see that SSC/RC is were the real deal lies, as for DSSC it is a boring commission. na to dey starch Khaki upandan Nagode sir, by his grace success is ours this year |
