proof:

x=(p+q)^1/3 +(p-q)^1/3

r=(p² -p² )^1/3

r=(p+q)^1/3 *(p-q)^1/3

set a=(p+q)^1/3

& b=(p-q)^1/3

=> x=a+b
& r=ab

now LHS,
x³ -3rx

=> (a+b)³ -3ab(a+b)

=> a³ + b³
thus we have ,

[(p+q)^1/3 ]³. +[(p-q)^1/3 ]³

=p+q+p-q

2p ...............(as required )
