Hello, Visual and Interaction Designer here. I’d advice going into motion design or motion graphics. It’s quite demanding to learn and perfect, but it always gives you edge over other designers.

Just opening Nairaland again after years! I don’t even know if this matters anymore but to answer the question, Yes. I took the course, gave it my best and did a 4.45 in CGPA. However, I am currently having masters in Human-Computer Interaction somewhere in Europe.

Whether you own a startup or established business, having a professional logo is beneficial on many levels. It builds trust, increases awareness, creates an emotional attachment – and ultimately, can deliver new customers. But how much should it cost?

While the range of logo design prices covers a broad spectrum, if you’re not in the graphic design industry, it may be confusing to know what’s reasonable since the price varies by designer. No logo design guidebook exists, and logo designers are free to charge whatever they wish. Some may choose to charge extremely high prices while others may choose to charge rock-bottom prices just to get business. To avoid confusion, try to stay within your price range and pay a price that makes you comfortable. In the end, the price should be fair and equal to the time spent on the task.

A Reasonable Logo Design Starts at $200(N61,110 by current exchange rate)
One should expect a simple logo design to cost approximately $200. A simple design is typically a logo with a well-defined company name and mark. Intricate patterns and complex lettering may increase the price of the logo. The finished design should be clear, unique and professional. The definition of simple will vary from person to person, which is why it is important to find a designer who works with their customers throughout the design process. An experienced designer will be able to produce good work if they have clear instructions. The designer should provide at least four concepts for this price and two rounds of changes if the customer should need them.

A More Complex Design Warrants a $400-$500(N122,220-N152,775) Price Tag
A logo design with intricate patterns and fonts typically costs twice as much as a simple design. Expect to pay around $400 for a design of this type. The increase in price will also include extra services, including up to 10 original logo designs to choose from and unlimited changes until you are pleased with the results. A reputable company will provide concepts for business cards, envelopes and letterheads as well. You should also expect to receive a minimum of three concepts for each type of stationery.

An experienced business logo design company will have more than one designer working on a project. Simple jobs require two to four designers, and complex jobs require a larger team of designers. A team is necessary because each custom-made logo needs fresh ideas. If one designer were working on a large number of logos daily, he or she would eventually run out of ideas. With multiple designers, a company can produce quality logos and concepts continuously — a great perk to keep in mind when choosing a logo company. In the end, a high-priced company with one designer is no match for a reasonably priced company with multiple designers.

And finally, consider the reputation of the designer or logo design company. Look for guarantees, samples of previous work and positive reviews. Also, find someone who is willing to hear about your unique business — whether it’s via an initial phone conversation or by completing a helpful creative brief, you want to be sure you designer cares about what sets your business apart.

PARTCIPATE IN OUR COMMUNITY OF GRAPHIC DESIGN STUDENTS AND TUTORS

Okay, let's start.
We have a group, Learn Graphic Designing, which you'll be added to (Students join for a small fee). We have decided to use Whatsapp because it enables quick contact and offers a medium to share videos and photos very easily.

Class 1: This level involves introduction to the softwares we'll be using, and the basics of it will be taught and learnt.
Class 2: We start simple tutorials for beginners. We teach and learn drawing and making simple geometric shapes, colouring and mixing colours, shaping, and some simple operations in designing through high quality videos and sometimes written tutorials.
Class 3: Here, we will now go into practicals. The simple operations and skills taught and learnt in the second level will be combined to create solid designs. There'll be assignments for students to do too.
Class 4: You now choose a specialization which you want to be taught.
Designing is diverse but we are into some of the most important aspects of it. You can choose from Illustration, Logos, and Print designs (flyers, business cards, brochures e.t.c) or you do the three if want it that way.

From my observations, you're really good. And you'd definitely be able to more other graphics stuffs apart from logos naa.
Your chances of earning if you joined Ehn, some people start earning the day they join, while other have to wait for a month or few weeks.
I wont say the account would be dormant, because you can also approach clients on there.

Some new works of mine

1. Studying with your lover.
Okay, girls are psychologically strong enough to overcome this sometimes. But males can't! Females are known to be emotional, sensitive, and talk-loving. They get attracted quickly to any distraction in the surrounding and they always like to tell you to "see what is happening."
Studying with a female, especially beautiful ones, will only keep your attention with them. You tend to look at them if they make a single sound. If they ask you a question, you do have to answer. Infact, something keeps telling you to stop being boring when you start concentrating.
So, you end up using most of the reading hours on your girl than on your book.
You sure do know what the remedy to this is.

2. Listening to music while you study.

According to research, listening to music is interesting, so it occupies the long-term part of the brain! Can you sing Gongo-Aso by 9ice? Yes! Do you know the year it was produced? Very long ago. But you can still sing a good percentage of the song. 
You would tentatively stammer and stutter if I asked you to recite the States and Capitals in Nigeria. The addicts won't like this. Some serious students know this is dangerous.
 The effect of this is in two ways; it slackens your reading. You get slow when reading and listening to music, and you even make pauses unconsciously - this happens mostly when you want that music to synchronise with your reading pattern. You can experiment this. I mean watch people who do it. You shouldn't be doing that again afterall.
The second way is that you only know what you're reading at just that time that you study it. Once you're finished studying, your gained knowledge gradually goes off! So, you read and read but you forget easily.
The remedy is to stop the practice of listening to music.

3. Studying for long hours without breaks

So, you want to cover a very large percentage of your lecture notes because there's not much time. The best thing to do instead is group your notes.
If you have a 30-leaf note to read, read 6 leaves five times. Did you get that? Read 6 leaves, have a short break; you can take a short walk around or go check some beautiful images of babies and mothers on google, then go back to your book after being relieved. This will make your study look light and not cumbersome, and your brain will be ready to assimilate more.

4. You don't test yourself.
Believe this. Pre-exam tests really help. Set questions from what you've read and practice them often. You'll be very amazed to see yourself answering the exam questions before even finishing to read them in the examination hall. Try this, it works. 
Never don't study past questions too. I mean, study past questions too, they help so much.

5. Mobo-multitasking.

Please, don't do it!
Reading on your phone while chatting or using the media. That won't just work fine for you, student. It won't.
It's good to read a hard copy and switch your of your phone.
