I have ben arguing with South Africans on here for years about the same "generalization". IF you doubt it run a search on any of my posts, read through it carefully and see that I force ya''ll to stare your own stereotyping in the face

It is weird that these attacks have now forced some of you to realize this. Strange.
You are a true patriot though!!! hehehehehe.. reading your posts and smiling...

Stereotyping is the order of the day on the site. Er...you don't seem to understand my points, I'm merely Stereotyping because evryone is stereotying South Africans as these Xenophobic monsters, while were'not. And I've Interacted with Nigerians a lot sir for your information
Everyone stereotypes....I am not quite new here..so I don't know what shit goes down.. My point is ..you picked a wrong time to do it.. People are raw and sensitive now..You should have waited for things to blow over...

I don't belive South Africans are xenophobic blood thirsty axe wielding killers.. But I believe that a segment of your society actually possesses a latent unease with foreigners.....hence the constant flare ups of this attacKS.. offcourse it is totally incomprehensible that a whole society would stick their head into the same toilet bowl.....you guys have this..Nigerians have tribalism.. The difference is..we can own up to it....what are you guys doing about it?

I actually came to this site to condemn these attacks in the first place. Here's what you don't understand In south África almost everyone bar the Xenophobes themselves, is against these attacks, I know it's something you won't accept but it's true. The reason why I make these generalizations about Nigerians is that Im merely trying to show that generalizing is unfair, because all of a suddenN because I'm South African therefore I'm Xenophobic, I'm merely tryin to apply the same thing to Nigerians so you can see how unfair it is, No South African on this site has justified or supported these actions of a few,
lastly..you can not apply the same thing to Nigerians because at this moment in time.. This issue is about YOUR KINSMEN....It is highly insensitive for you to try to derail a thread by turning the tables or making it about any other country but your selves.. Again...it is about taking responsibility..It is not the time for you to deflect or project the issues on another country.. especially because that is what your kinsmen are doing at the moment.. hence the violence ( Foreigners are criminals-deflecting, foreigners take our jobs-deflecting) . I am sorry but objectively you would help people reinforce stereotypes around South Africans..seemingly always looking for the next available race or country to blame for their own internal problems..
Foreign AffairsRe: See What South Africans Had To Say Concerning Xenophobia by RANDYMUDA: 11:16pm On Apr 20, 2015
My friend.. I am sorry if I made you feel that way.. I know it must be tough to be getting all that negative energy from all angles.. But I must say..I totally did not like what you and the other lady where doing with MORPHEUS...It got to a point where it seemed you were defending your kinsmen..hence me coming into the thread to condemn what I thought you guys were getting at..

Look.. There is no tribe or people that don't have their problems.. We in Nigeria are as bleeped up....in a different way.. But I would not go on a site where Nigerians are being condemned for something they did and get into a banter with the Nationals of that country condemning us... for me..It just seems like you are playing for the wrong party...

I don't Know Nigerians and you Know South Africans? Does'nt that reek of arrogance? How many South Áfricans do you know to reach the conclusion that you know enough about South Africans? How many Nigerians must I encounter for me to finally say I know Nigerians ? How do you even know that I don't know about Nigerians?
Again the word "arrogance" is a word that I have heard a couple of SAFRICANS throw around wrongly....sorry man..you do not know me enough for me to "reek of arrogance".......If I made you feel that way...totally not my intention....but it would do you good not to always get into an inferior position when someone makes a statement from a place of knowing.. TRUST ME....I know you don't Nigerians....past Nigerians you have encountered here and there.. You must have lived in Nigeria to know Nigerians...

Anyways I am not witchunting South Africans.,.. Your history has been though and difficult.. We did not know what your misery felt like but we felt it even from afar...I just appeal to Black South Africans to open their minds and allw people in... They should stop this very narrow nationalistic way to think.. Other Africans are not the "other" it is not a bragging match..me against them..we are better ..they are not....Black South Africans have to embrace diversity, tolerance, love and understanding of other cultures..

Please man Just spare me the lecture, When we South Africans condemn these attacks you call us names, you'have already painted us with the same brush so what's the point? Show me where I justify the maimimg of innocent people! I for one think these attacks are stupidity of the highest order, Instead of coming together Nigerians and South Africans in condemning these acts, what do you do? You call us names as if every South African was involved In these attacks
Well...as said.. I don't have to show you anything.. Your attitude on this board and your back and forth banter is enough proof that you are getting at something. Whatever it is.. It is in your heart and you know it.. I Would not go on a South African website to defend the evil Nigerians are perpetrating anywhere.. I would condemn it and move on..

I just am a little tired of South Africans starting a sentence with I am not a XENOPHOBE BUT....then goes on into a xenophobic rant...same as a racist going I am not racist I have black friends but ...black people are blah blah Blah...

My friend..in all your posts on this topic and all your generalizations of Nigerians the heathrow rant... calling Nigerians rude because I told you that you are on a Nigerian site and helping us confirm "wrong" stereo types about South Africans.. you know who foreigners are and what they look like.. SMELLS A XENOPHOBE IN HIDING..Your posts are filled with it....

To the lies about Botwanas/swazis/ Lesotho etc,... all this other people though they share similar ancestry with you..Don't in anyway think like you guys and distance themselves from this madness....... It is funny that zimbabaweans and Mozmbiquans also have ancestry with you guys but your kinsmen kill them anyways..

We are very righteous these days are'nt we? Don't tell me about rudeness Nigerians are the epitome of this trait
Again.. You don't know enough Nigerians to genearalize.. The problem for the most part with you guys is you have not travelled past your borders... Nigerian has a population of 170 million with over 280tribes... You guys have how many tribes...11 -15.. My friend ..you don't know Nigerians..

I am happy I know South Africans... difference ..I move around and learn about people and their cultures.....

I would tell you about rudeness..If you come here and try to talk down at people.... you would be schooled..I know only too well..That your xenophobic black heart is too shallow to take time enough to know Nigerians or any any other "black immigrant" the foreigner shit you guys use is effed up anyways...very xenophobic lingo...

Again..If you here to defend the evil on your streets..you are a troll and it makes you look bad... Speak for yourself and represent yourself.. The generalizations South Africans make is what your problems are ..

Nigerians rude
Whites are racist?
somalians? take your spaza shops?
Zimbabweans your jobs?

Generalizations....SMH..The day you guys try to find the good in other black persons.. The better for you

The fact that you are here, trolling onthis site and engaging in a back and forth banter....is enough for me to see through you.., If you are a real man and a patriotic son of the soil and an AFRICAN who understands the meaning of brotherhood, UBUNTU as you guys say....Then you would condemn what is happening in your country and move on..Coming here and acting all defensive is the way to go..NOT!

Ok now you must be insane. Sensitive my àss! Do we all live in the cities where this thing is happening? What exactly do you want us to say? The stuff you see on tv is the same stuff we see on ours because none of us are there to give 1st hand accounts. You here talking like South Africa is a tiny town where everyone knows & sees everything.

Oh & we don't owe you fùck all. If you want more info on this, then stay glued to your tv screen.
You can fget all defensive and all.It is just makes you look bad... Th emore you defend the indefensible the more culpable you are.. You and the Other guy are either XENOPHOBIC APOLOGIST OR SYMPATHIZERS.

It is simple..condemn what is happening and the back and forth would stop...

The problem is you can not condemn it..deep in your soul you actually connect to some of the violent ideology your kinsmen are perpetrating..and really it is okay..The first step to helping you out of your misery (xenophobia) is to admit it....

Just like RACIST SOUTHAFRICANS..I totally respect people who can own up to it.. Free advice all of you ..run away from a racist or a xenophobe in hiding...They are the worst kind..

Again, very rude Nationalist attitude. This forum for the most part is in English.. We are all Africans and as usual like South Africans do.. They would start speaking their languages to cut you off from a conversation.. This is very rude..

You might not like the heat you are getting here for the wickedness of your kinsmen... But trust me.. That heat is not only here.. If you travel and see the world.. THe outrage people are pouring out at your antics....SMH. is similar..You can not come here and defend what is happening in South Africa.. That makes you fit in nicely with your blodd thirsty KINSMEN on the streets..

You talk of spoting foreigners etc.. Zimbabweans share a common accentry with you along with Swazis, the people of the Mountain (Lesotho) and Botswanas.. They just don't share your perception of what other black people are... You kill Zimbabweans and Mozambiquans ..we know some of them are from your tribe. Hell the Mozambiquan guy that was stabbed to death had a very south African SURNAME SITHOLE.........What is your excuse?

I know about the highest number of graduates blah blah! But as soon as any African touches Heathrow airport, degrees and Phd's are the last thing on that country's authorities minds. And who is to blame?
Really..What you are doing is just a reflection of what you are as a BLACK SOUTH AFRICA MAN...Inability to reflect but huge ability to deflect and project problems unto others... This thread is about SAFRICAN XENOPHOBIA....Look it is silly for South Africans to feign ignorance about it.. You don't have to be on the streets killing foreigners to be xenophobic, The xenophobic attitudes of South Africans for the most part are on display..buttons don't need to be pressed..

I have travelled with my british passport to South Africa and on my Nigerian passport too.. On 4 separate occasions..at the immigration which is meant to be the face of South Africa to foreigners, the attitude was clear. He hounded me for being Nigerian and also British.. at the end of discussion he shouted at me and said I should live his till or he would kill me... I won't recount other instances.. I have been singled out of waiting crowds at OR TAMBO and asked very uncomfortable questions.. A woman immigration officer has called me A drug dealer because I am Nigerian ..But I let her have it.. I reciprocated by calling her a rapist and she was totally shocked...We settled the IMPASSE at the side offices of the immigration persons at OR TAMBO...

I would digress though.. TROLLING on a Nigerian forum trying to defend the indefensible just shows the new low that you guys are stepping to. I don't blame you though.. Your President has not taking responsibility for anything he has done...he keeps deflecting..exactly what you are doing...

What is sadder is South Africans keep pushing this ideology around PAN AFRICANISM..SMH#.I don't know what is sadder the fact that they don't know what that ideology means or they actually think South Africa as a country is AFRICA as a whole? Can someone please help me educate this lost souls...about what PANAFRICANISM is? The narrow nationalist ideology they have forged with slowly isolate them more just like the days when the WHITE MASTERS DOMINATED them....but offcourse they forget what they went through and what it meant to be the oppressed and have an oppressor...Now they are not only the OPRESSOR..they are coming for people that are not in anyway their enemy...

7 in total, 4 foreigners, 3 south Africans.

This whole thing is tragic, don't think I'm in any way downplaying it, that king should be taken to the ICC, but this isn't the first time this has happened so the anti foreigner sentiment is big. I was just intrigued that you'd talk about not generalizing when that's all you ever do.
I don't know what is sadder , the fact you break down the dead people into categories? SMH# 7 people died! they all matter! I don't care how many are black SOUTHAFRICANS or foreigners...death is death...

The government is to blame, the lessons learned from 2008 xenophobia were never implimented just to avert future xenophobia attacks. SA government has tendency of not listening to the people, so the communities go violent to get government attention. The only thing government learn from 2008 was to minimize loss of lives, in 2008, 62 people were killed, government took long to react to the situation. in 2015, only 6 people have lost their lives. Government moved fast to protect foreigners from attacks.

Durban and KZN province are under control, no further protests reported for the past 4 days. The only concerns are Alexandra township and Jeppestown in joburg, the rest of joburg is safer. Pretoria is safe, cape town is safe, PE is safe. So by wednesday everything would be normal, the challenge would be how the displaced foreigners be returned to their homes, but i guess most of them will move to the safe cities. Its a pity these people have nothing or money. They came to SA for better life, even if they return home, they would be going back into poverty. SA government will be caught in the corner because majority of these people dont have papers. its not gonna be easy, but it was a lesson learned.

If SA tightens immigration laws, we will have more illegal people crossing the border. life ain't plesant north of SA. So people take deadly risk crossing the crocodile infested river to come to SA for better future. It will only get better when african economies improve, in such a way that migrants wont see SA as an economic magnet.
While most of this is true.. The shit stopped when some foreign nationals lead by Nigerians vowed to defend themselves against the DBN SAVAGES..and actually came out to fight, since the police seemed to be stalling. The Presidents SON EDWARD and the demon king...also helped fuel this shame of the southern Africans..

The last paragraph could not be any more truer.. South Africa is already on a huge slump.. the black rulers through to their call are making dead sure this happens..I think foreigners without job offers should stay away..

You're mistaking me with someone else, where did I mention Ghana must on this thread.
Not here , I think you opened a fresh thread at some point..

xenophobia is very topical these days due to the unfortunate events in SA.

LOME, Togo, Feb. 1— Tens of thousands of hungry and impoverished people who have been expelled from Nigeria hurried today along the seaside road that leads to the frontier with ghana at the edge of this normally quiet West African capital. The refugees, expelled for economic and political reasons by Nigeria, passed through Lome in taxis, cattle trucks and on foot, most of them men in their 20's, many of them carrying a single suitcase as they walked along the Atlantic coastal road. Some two million unskilled foreign workers living illegally in Nigeria were ordered to start leaving by Monday. At least half of them were Ghanaians, and others were from Mali, Chad, Niger, Upper Volta, Benin and Togo. Under international and African pressure, President Shehu Shagari of Nigeria extended the expulsion deadline for skilled foreigners, mostly schoolteachers, until March 1. President Shagari announced the expulsions Jan. 17, saying the foreigners were the cause of economic problems and religious and racial unrest. 16 Reported to Have Died In Lagos, the Nigerian capital, at least 16 people were reported to have died as a result of the forced exit. Six people drowned in the Lagos harbor Monday night trying to climb aboard overcrowded ships leaving for Accra, ghana 's capital. Ten refugees were said to have starved to death. At the frontier, Togolese guards let the refugees pass by the thousands without a check. A hundred yards away, by a concrete arch with the words ''Welcome to ghana '' in large letters, Ghanaian border guards appeared to be making only cursory inspections of the refugees as they entered. As one truck carrying perhaps 50 refugees crossed the border, the Ghanaians cheered -but not loudly, more in relief than joy. A boy waved a small Ghanaian flag from the back of the truck. http://www.nytimes.com/1983/02/02/world/by-land-and-sea-they-stream-from-nigeria.htm

Come on, 4 foreigners have been confirmed dead since this started, wouldn't more be dead if most wanted foreigners killed.
The count is 7 not four.. THat is old news...

Wont more be dead.. The point here is...7 persons is not ONLY....This 7 persons come from homes..they are mothers, they brothers, they are fathers, they are sisters.. They are someones child..aunt, uncle..and so on and so forth...You can not communize any death.. you can't.. And it is not about the deaths only.. It is also about the loss of property/displacement/ livelihood/ dehumanization.. Thousands have been displaced...even the block head zuma visited some of the CAMPS!

On , having more dead if most South Africans want foreigners dead.. None ever said that. What is matter of fact is that a a good percentage of black SAfricans are either passive xenophobes... or blood thirsty savages ,xenophobes.... I can define the two arms for you ..if you like...

So, you agree with me that any foreigner with pale skin is treated like a king in Nigeria, regardless of status. Why is that? Are they better than when you might be more educated and more intelligent than these folks? Well, that is just how the average black person is programmed from Lagos, to Harare, to Cape Town, to London, to New York, and to Montreal.

I did not agree with you , you said white..I gave options that were not whites or Caucasian! and I also said other BLACKS are treated similarly if they are foreigners...Strange you ignored all that? and went 360 from WHITE TO PALE SKIN...SMH#

Not saying what is going on there is right - no one has a right to take the life of the next person. And I condemn it. However, how can you lot be spewing fire and brimstone, getting mad and cursing folks, when worse things happen at ya own backyard among folks from the same country? At least you weren't systematically destroyed the way they were destroyed for generations. Why were at least 250 people brutally murdered in Nigeria over an election? Who do folks use other folks for rituals? Why do people get maimed like rats all the time in Nigeria for no reason? Etc..

Classic case of pot and kettle - which of the two is blacker?
WELL WHAT I SEE HERE IS KETTLE AND AN ACCUSATORY POT...

The same reason why they fear their white oppressors is the same reason why a white plumber/peasant can go to Nigeria and he will end up being treated like a king and why a lot of Nigerians suck up to white people. And the same why black folks everywhere form gangs to kill one another - but develop cold feet when it is time to fight the white oppressors.

So, how are you different from them? The average black person is programmed to worship white people. That is ya reality on this planet loool.

If that is your interpretation of his post, then you been cheated in college/high school and should demand a refund or your tuition fees.
It is not my fault that you lack English language comprehension skills..deep your head in a toilet bowl in shame! YES ..IT IS THAT DIRTY!

this was your apologist post about Ghana must go!

For all those too young to remember, Nigerians did the exact same thing to Ghanaians back in the day. Maybe not quite so gruesome, but the same anyway. GHANA MUST GO. Anybody remember that?

The guy responded that GHANA MUST GO, was borne out of a govt policy! which is right! It was Shagari in 1983 that expelled GHANAINS! In this instance in Soputh Africa, the South Africans are doing this without legislative support! But offcourse your brain is way too hollow to grasp that...SILLY TROLL...You do need an education.. you should be ashamed offyourself.. I don't know how people like you are allowed on the internet! silly PIMPLE FACED TEEANAGERS!
That was a govt policy, and it related to illegal immigrants. These are xenophobic attacks unsupported by the govt of SA.

Lol. Great you can see the bigger picture.

I think the fundamental problem with most Nigerians is that they are mostly ignorant and arrogant - and a lot of them don't take time out to study the history of different places before passing judgements, or knowing how to manoeuvre/act. It plays out everywhere.

[i][b]Mostly IGNORANT.BIG FAIL! NIGERIANS ARE FAR FROM BEING IGNORANT OR ARROGANT..PEOPLE ARE JSUT INTIMADATED BY THEM! SOUTHAFRICANS ON THE OTHER HAND WOULD ADMIT TO YOU THAT THEY ARE IGNORANT AND SHALLOW...BECAUSE THEY WERE MAJORLY ISOLATED FROM THE OUTSIDE WORLD FOR YEARS

If you understand South African history you definitely would understand why they are the way they are. The fact that they haven't even started attacking the white settlers in large scale is still a mystery. I think that has more to do with the innate fear apartheid instilled in them subconsciously. They messed those people up - and they are still messed up. And you don't mess with wounded folks like that who are still hurting, unless you want them to eat you alive.
I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND THE HISTORY but does not excuse what is happening there...you yourself have said it...why fear the whites and turn on the blacks? why not learn from them? Zimbabwe had similar fate like them..independence was in 1980...They totally don't share the savagery of South Africans..Nobody is messing with them.. They are just butt hurt raving savages! you can nevr excuse in humanity !Never! the crux of being Africans falls on treating foreigners with dignity and respect! South Africans don't know shit because of apartheid...but have learnt nothing from it.. You would think that an oppressed group would learn some lessons and not turn themselves into actual opressers of others...

But it is good this happening! people have been saying it for eternity the hatred Black south Africans harbour in their hearts.. It is good the world is catching up to it!...there would always be KARMA
