Lesgupnigeria: From my experience, selling sometimes can be a bit challenging especially if after you have done all what you are suppose to do but with no luck. My advice for every farmer is to network with professionals that have market link of what they produce. I have help numerous people on this platform access buyers which they would have not even have access to if not for proper network. Koolsamie, taiwo.sunonu, raphaeladex, are some of the nairalanders i can remember that have benefited. you are the vbest thanks |

mercylicious: @ legsup, wat is the meaning of paying survey fees while d prospect has not even seen the land ?
i know he gets his cuts from every land sold, but everyone shld.be wary of trusting ppl u met online. Trust is earned. Let the person earn it. When i wanted to start a plantain farm some years back,i saw one of his post and i contacted him,he told me the same thing probably because the season is almost closing in and also i wanted it to be done as soon as possible Paid the survey and all other expenses and he did execute it well without even seeing him. Guess that was what might have happen. |

hayweezee: My ordeal/experience wt @Lesgupnigeria. Followed his adverts on Nairaland n Facebook wt keen interest. I had some cash on me that I was actually willing to invest abt 2 months ago. So I started chatting wt him. And he did well wt his analysis, he sure did his home work well. Though he later changed d prices when he heard I am based in Lagos. It wasn't DT much n still kinda okay by me. I was still willing to invest in d Cassava n Plantain Farming. So we concluded our chats n it's now time for us to meet n make payments. He told me he is in Ogbomoso at d moment monitoring a farm, that he also has farms in Owode, Ogun state n even in Lagos. OK ooo. So how do we meet n how do I make make payments? Naso my guy dropped a bombshell on me.... He said... They normally start planting in September. And he has limited offers n d doors of ds opportunity is going to close soon. That I should pay 4 survey fee first 4 my land to be allocated to me. I was like... guy! I haven't met u,I don't even know ur office n u want me to make payments. guy me nor get mark o. I even asked him his office, assistants n associates since he is not around. Then he said I shd not worry he's going to have somebody call me soon. So except d person call me ds nite or 2moro morning...lolz. Somebody called u an internet farmer n I'm not saying u r a Scam(which I still CNT convince myself u r not), but u just don't ask folks to pay money into ur acct without seeing u or knowing u. It is wrong bro! It is wrong bro!! So bro, u sure need to get ur office thing running. Need I remind u, folks do work hard to save ds money. I once believed in ur analysis. but u still have to convince me more. Remember me now... 081211177** The guy is a good guy and not a scam. I have been investing with him (plantain&cassava and planning to do oilpalm next year) for over 3 years now and nothing like scam or whatsoever. Although sometimes when you call him,he does not pick his call,he is kind of busy guy and always on the farm site. simple thing that you should have personally sorted out with him. |

BAMIHO: Whenever Fine Cooking runs a story on outdoor grilling, it seems that our expert authors always recommend cooking over natural hardwood charcoal (sometimes called charwood) instead of the more easily found charcoal briquettes. Is this just barbecue snobbery? Hardly. There are some very real differences between hardwood charcoal and briquettes that do have an effect on grilling. Hardwood charcoal • Made from only natural hardwood, my company have “Ivringia malayana Oliver charcoal” only 80 ton. • Once the wood is reduced to charcoal, it’s left in its original rough shape. In fact, the best way to determine the quality of the charcoal is to look at it—if you can recognize the shapes of real wood, you’ve got the real thing. • Lights more quickly. • Burns hotter (around 1,000°F), so you should make a smaller or more spread-out fire than you would with briquettes. • Creates less ash. • Imparts a purer, wood-fire flavor to foods. • Any hardwood charcoal not completely burned during grilling may be put out and re-lit on another occasion for more grilling. Charcoal briquettes • Made from the sawdust of scrap wood (including resinous soft woods and composite woods). • Combined with chemical binders and filler (including coal dust) and manually compressed into their characteristic pillow shapes. • Slower to light, often requiring lighter fluid. • Burns cooler (closer to 700° to 800°F). • Burns more quickly, meaning a shorter window for grilling, or requiring that you add more during grilling. • Smoke produced may be neutral at best and can contribute harsh and off-tasting flavors to grilled foods. • Contributes more pollutants to the air as it burns.
