HealthRe: Strike: FG Evokes ‘No Work, No Pay’ Policy Against Resident Doctors by Raregene: 11:52pm On Aug 29, 2024
Interesting, what would you have suggested they do? Wait another 4months to make 12 months in captivity? Please, let the doctors learn from you. I believe you have a great insight for a way forward.

Stike after 8 months in captivity is a tad too late for me. I can't even imagine being in captivity for days not to talk about 8 months.

FreeStuffsNG:
It's a somewhat controversial strike action by the time FG allows such precedent and other professionals do same across board then government decides to sanction such group(s).

Just imagine that criminals kidnap a police officer and the whole police officers force go on strike. How does that help their case?

NARD could have adopted a more sensible and matured approach to drawing attention to the unfortunate situation of their member instead of going on a nationwide strike. Is it that they don't have elders in the profession to guide them ni?

Criminals kidnap their member in Plateau state and while security agencies are on it, they are demanding that patients need to die across the country.

When she is now freed, will they bring back the dead or do they now want the blood and curses of the dead to be upon her head and that of her generations ni?

Haba! A nursing mother has been in captivity for over 8 MONTHS!!! I feel it took too long for the doctors to even go on strike, they should have gone a long time ago.
Imagine the response from the Ministry of Health, quite shameful. In the face of the massive emigration of doctors, this won't encourage anyone to stay. Health practioners are valued and payed well outside of the country where they don't have to worry about being kidnapped while they are at work.
These doctors had earlier protested nationwide in their facilities to draw government attention to this situation and so far notting has been done and now that they have gone on waring strike, they are responding with a threat.
I believe if it was the relative of the Minister that was kidnapped, it would not have taken this long, something would have been done within a matter of days not to talk of over 8 good months.

So because a member was kidnapped all the whole nation can die

Hello everyone, greetings to you all.
I made a mistake of filling my First name as my native name instead of given names. I have submitted my Ds 160 form and I have an appointment this week in Abuja. How can I rectify this?
my surname is correct on the form and only my middle name is filled as the given name.
