The shareholders are taking this stance because of the rumoured intention of Sanusi to sell off the banks later. However they need not lose sleep cos Sanusi CANNOT(mark my words) sell the banks,so many political wheeler dealers and power brokers are major shareholders in these banks and they can make life very difficult indeed for Sanusi, they'll fight back and sanusi cannot withstand them in the long run |
Nairalanders, you guys are realllllllllly fast Heard it too on RC,so the cancer eventually killed him,I'm sad now When will there be a cure for cancer ,God please take away this scourge of cancer from us |

chrisical: ![]() That would really be a death sentence for sony africa,as Nigeria accounts for the bulk of their sales in the continent.I'm sure Samsung,LG,Panasonic,Akira and the dozen rivals competing with them for a greater share of the Nigerian market will be fasting and praying for sony to be foolish enough to discontinue business in Nigeria They may always sing about the problem of corruption, poor infrastructure reh reh reh blah blah blah in Nigeria, but trust me,these multinationals are not ready to part with this lucrative market called Nigeria. Remember when Abacha stood up to the Brits and impounded their aircraft? (BA),that time their sense correct as they know that the Nigerian route is not just the most lucrative for BA in Africa but ranks among one of their most lucrative globally So I dare sony to pull out of Nigeria, dem no born dem well |
Kobojunkie:Why not start by asking God to have mercy on you alone first. So the FG should not have reacted to tyhe negative report We are Nigerians,we know the problems we're facing, but by Jove,we did not ask Sony to attempt to cry more than the berieved. In the nearly fifty years Sony has been doing business in Nigeria, name one foundation the idiotic company has that has addressed or sought to address one or more challenges that we face as a nation in the area of corporate social responsibility Do they think we've forgotten so soon of their software scandals and bribes to politicians |

ziga:SPOT-ON Whatever the problem with Nigeria (which every country has its fair sahe of) it's wrong and irresponsible for a multinational organisation to do a criminal profiling of Nigerians, this is a huge fallacy of hasty generalisation. If our organs of government were alive to their resposibilities,SONY would most def have been made to pay dearly for this crime affront |
It'll really be interesting to see how chelski copes with their old ladies (apologies to the men of Turin) should their appeal fail |
Dele Momodu should have just ignored the scathing criticisms of his style, the way Dr Abalti ignored Banky's well scripted response and Eldee's very shallow asinine response to his editorial more especially as the criticisms are mostly true. The more he responds by insulting his critics, the more he exposes his under belly for more sucker punches, why is it so hard for people to take corrections ![]() I've stopped taking him seriously ![]() |
dekey:What do you mean by a little, when you have this post below ropyjay:@ OP,hope you've got in touch with Ropy, avail him more info such as the mileage and engine condition as car history from VIN check will stop the moment just before the car left yankee.Do that and the car is sold for close to N1 million |
On a personal note,I think we should watch Michel Platini closely with suspicion,he has a strange exuberance about him being UEFA boss and I suspect we'll yet hear of more bizzare judgements from UEFA (and FIFA at Platini's behest)with him in the saddle as Eduardo's ban and Chelski's case are just tips of the iceberg |
switch47:Surely,you don't mean that, that would be an over-kill,or do you want the chavs to commit suicide ![]() |
[img][/img] About 200 London-bound passengers were yesterday stranded at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, as the arrival of the aircraft billed for the trip was delayed. When the travellers could not bear it any longer, they began to agitate and it took the intervention of Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Richard Aisuebeogun, and Commissioner of Police, MMIA Command, Jonathan Johnson, to calm them down. Some of the passengers said they bought their Bellview tickets in London. They complained that they were on the verge of losing their jobs, while school children among them claimed that if they could not get a flight back to London, they might miss classes ,as they were supposed to have resumed in school on September 1. "I am very upset; I am supposed to be in school but I am still here; I am very upset," declared an 11-year-old Olowonisile Joseph, a primary school pupil. "I came to Nigeria on holiday about three weeks ago, with the hope of returning to London on Monday, but it is unfortunate that I am still here, in Nigeria, today, when my classmates are already in classrooms studying. I am not happy with this airline at all," lamented one Joshua, who disclosed that classes had resumed since Wednesday. In his reaction, Director General, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Harold Demuren, said he had already directed the airline to take adequate care of the passengers. Meanwhile, Bellview’s Communications Manager, Habeeb Mohammed, said the airline had technical problems and assured that the company had put measures in place to make the passengers comfortable according to international standard, while arrangements were being made to rebook them on another flight http://www.thisdayonline.com/nview.php?id=153575
