Politics › Re: History Of How Maj-gen. JTU Aguiyi Ironsi Became The 1st Nigerian Army GOC by ratcock: 10:06am On Jul 01, 2025
Ironsi’s only mistake was entrusting his life to his enemies and not taking prompt action when he received reports of an impending coup. An example was when Gen Effiong and Gen Madiebo informed him of an impending coup. His response was to ask Effiong and Madiebo to repeat what they told him in the presence of the officers who were plotting to overthrow him.

I can bet that most bad policy supporters like this Gen-Z guy here are still in their father's house eating "mama thank you!". They have zero knowledge of what it entails to govern any country in the 21st century.

It's shocking to see someone relegating national governance that's incharge of multiple trillions of monies belonging to confederation of states and the people, to a mere village leader in your village.

I've Got Some Questions For You...
Is Nigeria your village where everybody is meant to be a farmer? Or you think poultry farming is the local way you breed your village fowl? Can everybody in Nigeria do poultry farming?....Or we all should now engage in it just because of a single misfit in the midst of millions of bright minds?
Has governance gotten that bad suddenly?

You can see why most people don't engage your type here, your level of reasoning, knowledge and understanding is quite disappointing and shameful.

Your response to those bra!nwashed f00ls is top notch to say the least.

Of all the places to site the so called ranch it is in exzamgbo where there exists a federal government girls college. The onuku of a governor did not take into account the adverse effect of this plan. He’s setting up a time bomb which will explode on innocent children.

Only in Nigeria will the senate president who is the head of the legislative arm of government be running errands for the president.
Politics › Re: From Sehaku To Bello Turji. Nigeria Military Is Compromised by ratcock: 5:46am On Jun 27, 2025
Omoawoke:
If you don’t know at this point that Nigeria security is compromised, then you aren’t seeing the bigger picture

Every story needs a villain and a hero.

There’s no Batman without the joker

Once the villain dies, the movie ends but they can continue the show by introducing another villain to start a new season.

Nigeria military definitely knows the whereabouts of Bello Turji, but the ones that are benefiting from the corruption will continue to use people’s lives as collateral to loot funds meant for defense..

It’s all a big conspiracy.

They will keep Bello Turji alive as long as money continues to enter pockets, and once they have fed enough, they will take him out and another villain will resume again and start a new terrorist group to torment the security and lives of people for another couple of years again

Evil people!!
We have known all along that the Nigerian government from the executive down to the military is complicit in the insecurity happening in this country.

Politics › Re: Why Does Nigerian Government Always Partner With Foreign Entities by ratcock: 4:52pm On Jun 23, 2025
okpouman:
I need explanation on this situation. Studying activities of Nigerian government, it always seem like apart from salaries and maybe to an extent road infrastructure any other thing Nigerian federal or state government does is always sponsored by a foreign entity, either an European country ,China or Japan, the world bank.

The Nigerian government doesn't seem to have any funds to address any issue at all.Every development program is always sponsored either through donation or so called investment by a foreign entity( another sovereign government).

In any Nigerian government function or meeting, this foreign elements are always present listening to all plans and projects of the Nigerian government,it's like there's nothing that goes on in Nigeria without foreign input mainly European,Japanese or Chinese, sometimes the EU,world bank or and international NGO like UNICEF.

This begs the question, were does the revenue generated from oil go?
Is it too small that Nigerian government totally lacks the capacity to implement any project on its own.

Why are these countries always eager to implement projects for Nigeria, what's in it for them, what is the trade off by Nigerian government.

Why is NIGERIAN government especially since the democratic era so incapacitated.

If it was under a democratic government I bet you that there would never be an Abuja or it will be entirely sponsored by a foreign country.

The military guys were more capable and independent, why is Nigerian "democratic" government so handicapped.
Your observation is apt and pertinent.
With regard to the bolded, the saying he who plays the piper directs the tune should ring a bell.

When Abacha's death was announced, there was great mourning in the SE.

No other HoS has been good to Ibos more than Abacha who rewarded them for their treachery.

Many of their politicians and so-called elites today served Abacha and were always at his court in Aso Rock seeking favours and also how to entrench the despot.

That's why I keep asking them here to show me just one of their politicians who fought against military rule.

You won't get a response because there were none just as you will never hear or see any of their leaders fighting to restore back true fiscal autonomy for states.

The VAT figures and net allocations to state compared to contributions to the national purse shows the SE to be the biggest beneficiary of the current centrist system . Not the north as widely acclaimed but the SE and that's why I keep saying that no one should take their Biafra agitation seriously as it’s all a ruse .
