I once shared your disbelief too until I had a personal encounter with a victim.

A lady. Pretty, down to earth. Someone you would want to have a conversation or two with.

We've been sharing same office space for months until one day.

It was a normal day, I had gone out to get call card and slid behind my desk to continue my work. Sure I was working on a report.

Few minutes into that period, I saw her stood from her seat and walked straight towards the corridor.

What caught my attention was the manner in which she stood. I followed within a considerable distance. She seems to be under the influence of something I couldn't place as at then.

I saw her walked towards the office of the Commander and when she was stopped, it was a hell of drama.

She seized the PA by the collar and almost choked him. The PA, a well built man was no match for this lady. She seems to have possessed the power of ten.

Her eye balls increased, the shape of a small sized egg, slightly red too.

In less than two minutes, guys within the complex had quickly mobilized to free the PA from the grip of this lady. The Commander heard the noise and came out too.

It took 5 hefty men to subdue this lady.

She later regained consciousness and quietly went back to her corner. It was like nothing happened.

We were asked not to talk to get about it.

She was advised to go for "home treatment" as medical treatment won't be an option.

But in the midst of all of these, I was still so much inquisitive as to the reason for this kind of thing.

At that period, she had this guy as her boyfriend. Let's call him Raph.

I was in the office when I got a gist that Raph has been hospitalized. The story behind his admission looks sketchy though.

Heard he was gbenshing (you should be used to this word already�) and a force picked him from the lady and hit him hard on the floor. He was hit severally until a next door neighbor came in.

My inquisitive mind led me to the medical center where I met Raph. He had his head rolled up in bandage, lips swollen.

As paddy na. He told me everything that happened and it tallied with what I heard.

Seeing him as a huge guy...

"why you no drag with the person na"

He took a long look at me "haba Kola, drag with person wey I no see? E just be like say na 20 people hol me tight use me dey stone ground.."

He sighs

"na God save me o.."

Wishing him all the best, I left him with a promise to check him sometimes later.

I spoke with an elderly man, way older than me and I narrated this to him.

He looked at me, shook his head.

"Aljani" he started.

He went further to explain to me, that Aljani can possess a lady through her hair if left uncovered, due to her exposive dress style and several means.

That the Aljani stays as long as possible and it is the origin of the so called "spiritual husband."

I thanked him and left.

I felt a sharp pain right on my temple.

Life.

There are several things that are mysterious to the human mind to accept. I couldn't just wrap my head around that happening.

My thought drifted back to Raph. Bro swore never to go back to that lady.

So many things around us. Many things that beats our explanation.

Looks like a dead snake to me

I found this snake in the evening moving along in the compound. I just had no choice but to kill it because of children and dogs in the house.
But I actually felt bad killing it and would have freed it if I could determine it wasn't poisonous.
My gut says, it is though because poisonous snakes have diamond head and non poisonous have round head. It could be a green mamba but I'm not sure if they have that much markings on them.
What do you think guys?

Insecurity can case worry.

This thing has been bothering me, in my area there is always violence , and recently someone was killed, I am always thinking about violence and maybe it is an advantage to be capable of controlled violence when it is needed. I don;t know if you understand what I mean. So one can at least defend his life

So yesterday I really needed a SmartWatch because I kept looking for a good deal, I reached out to someone on Jiji who turned out to be rude, so I left him a nasty comment. Only for me to be reached out by someone who claimed to have sold the watch for a much cheaper price. I told him to deliver the item tomorrow.

The next day comes only for the dsipatcher rider to state that i wasn't picking my phone, I wasn't going to apologize for what wasn't my fault. So I stated he should show me the number, the person on WhatsApp even informed me that the dispatcher rider is outside. The next message he sent was highly suspicious, that I shouldn't make a transfer in front of the dispatcher rider, I was under the impression the dispatcher rider and the bike person will know the price. but not only was the number wrong but the account number and price of the item, coupled with the fact that the supposed seller kept forcing me to make the transfer, which i wasn't going to do, because when money leaves without confirmation na wahala.

I called the original seller no given to the Dispatcher and realized that it was a different person.

So what they do is Order on your behalf with a way reduced price then give you their account number so when you pay, it will be you, the Dispatch rider and the original seller will be left to their own peril.

I think you have two options with your new offer :
1. Put in your mandatory two weeks notice to your current employer.

2. Use the rates this new company is offering you to renegotiate your contract with them, they definitely can match your new offer or they'll have to lose you.

I spent time on reddit and learned this is how they do in the west.

Loyalty in tech is fluid and job turnover is extremely high.
What is permanent is contracts. so if a better offer comes you can definitely renegotiate.
