Hmm... do you know ? that short passage you labelled "verbose" is actually what you see in UTME and other unified examination,The mental task is for Candidates to be able to unravel the basic meanings or contextual meanings of the seeming Complex words and comprehend the passage as a whole. Without a principal understanding of those words, comprehension becomes a tall hurdle. I got your point though.

This was my second visit to Benin, the first time I came was in 2011, I had come to write my first putme which unfortunately didn't work out (smh olodo girl like me). This is my second visit, and this time I came straight from school.

My first visit, Chudy was in 200level then. I had him and my big cousins take me around for sight seeing, my eyes saw things. 'If you know how to look front, start looking front now and pretend you didn't see anything' Chudy said as he pulled me to the extreme left and we headed for home. It was when we reached his lodge that myself came back to me.

Our conversations were mostly in pidgin, I spoke pidgin so well I couldn't believe it was actually me speaking, it was so good that I started using it to converse with my parents when I finally arrived home,it just managed to always slip into my mouth each time I had something to say and then my mum was like '...just one week in benin and you've forgotten how to speak english, then tell me what happens when you finally have to spend four years?'

'All she need do is apply to study pidgin english and GBAM! She dosen't even have to do the exam sef! Admission straight!' That was Oge.

So since then, I would always rehearse my words over and over to ensure I was 'pidgin free' before making any statement.

So this memories keep coming back as I trudge the street of Ekosodin battling with the sand that has chosen to tag along with me. Only that this time around, I have decided to come with trailers on my next visit!

Epic and quite alluring! Ekosodin is proverbial for dastard acts of irremediable echelon. You dare not walk alone as a girl in odd hours unless you had pledged the "Honeywell" between the two Succulent Thighs to the devil.

Those who dress extravagantly are major targets. lol. I prefer to stay in the hostel where I can roam anytime and any day than risk my life living in a dungeon.

Some of the best poems are not so melodramatic. you didn't do literature but you apparently love English and there's a enough connection there(English & literature). I don't nurse malicious thoughts about anybody neither do I go pusillanimous when my points are countered in civil light . by virtue of your manliness, you are entitled to your opinion as everyone is. Your words are from the deep beds of your thoughts and cannot torpedo my creative acumen for what my passion burns for.
Not just any pleb can do poetry, It is an art that can be learnt and not a skill that comes by default of we being humans.

And Truth is that there is hardly a word someone would use that I'd find strange because my major okkupation/profession has to do with using words. If I write 'because' as ' b'cause' in a poem, I aint doing it for nothing, I kould be doing it because if not done, kould drastikallie keel the quorlitee of the poem.... You see, there's so much work than meets most eyes like yours...
Most times,I write poems in iambic metres. The respektive arrangement of stressed and unstressed syllable, and koined into the specifik style/length of chain, to kreate a standard rhythm. It aint beans, my friend.

If only you know that Andr.ew......Mar.vel didn't just write those words in TO...HIS CO.Y MIST.R.ESS, but he also worked towards arranging the metrikal chain for the reader's pleasure. There's more than meets the eye...

1. Dictionary(synonyms & antonyms)
2. Must have been reading other professional poems
3. Must know literature.

The criteria you enumerated for bardship above are gross, sir. Poetry is a field where words "motor" The deep emotional contents of the mind. word-weaving is not a skill any greenhorn can just take-up. I didn't study literature in high school, my passion and deep love for writing has oiled my quil thus far.

"discrepancy" is not an adjective but a noun. it's grammatically invalid to say "discrepancy arrangement". Only few nouns can qualify a another noun of which " discrepancy " is not one.
without a sound knowledge of the basics of Grammar, Which is a very broad field, words may be erroneously used.
