Tension erupted in the Oke Ado area of Ibadan as angry Nigerians stormed the office of CBEX, a digital asset trading platform, looting the premises following reports that users were locked out of their funds, TheDay Nigeria reports.

Viral videos circulating on social media captured the moment enraged youths vandalized the office and carted away valuables in protest.

The chaos erupted after many investors claimed they could no longer access or withdraw their money from the platform, leaving them financially stranded.

According to several affected users, CBEX abruptly shut down its operations without issuing any prior notice, sparking confusion and panic among those who had invested their savings on the platform.

Eyewitnesses described the incident as alarming, saying onlookers were stunned as people forced their way into the building, destroying furniture and equipment in a fit of anger and desperation.

So far, the management of CBEX has not issued any official statement regarding the alleged shutdown or the incident at their office.
