BREAKING.... Iran Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has a back-up plan to flee Iran for Moscow with a close circle of up to 20 aides and family should unrest intensify and security forces desert or fail to suppress the protests, The Times reported on Sunday, citing an intelligence report shared with it.

“The ‘plan B’ is for Khamenei and his very close circle of associates and family, including his son and nominated heir apparent, Mojtaba,” The Times reported citing an intelligence source.

“They have plotted an exit route out of Tehran should they feel the need to escape,” which includes “gathering assets, properties abroad and cash to facilitate their safe passage," the source was quoted as saying.

Khamenei is now “weaker, both mentally and physically” since the 12-day war with Israel in June, The Times reported citing a psychological profile of Khamenei done by a Western intelligence agency.

The profile called Khamenei a “paranoid” leader, a trait that shaped his plan to leave Iran should the Islamic Republic's security forces desert him.

“On one hand, he is very ideologically motivated, but on the other he is pragmatic in what he sees: he sees tactical compromise for long-term greater cause. He is a long-term thinker,” read the assessment.

Lol. PTD is a branch of NUPENG which also includes Transport owners (Narto) the employers of PTD. PTD currently has two factions though one has almost been eliminated thanks to NUPENG leadership, so the eliminated faction is now using this an an opportunity to fight Nupeng.
All loading operations has been on shutdown since yesterday. FG has been pleading with NUPENG and PTD to call off.

NUPENG must not be allowed to blackmail and threaten the government and the economy. Dangote refinery is a private entity and reserves the right to enforce internal conditions as it deems fit.

The only organisation that may even be considered to have a say here is the Petroleum and Tanker Drivers Association of Nigeria and they have told their members to ignore NUPENG and the strike.

NUPENG wants to force unionisation in a private refinery and by so doing will want to dictate to Dangote how to relate with drivers under its employ. That is a no-no. Did NUPENG go after Greenfield gas? Has NUPENG gone after Nigerian breweries, coca cola or Guinness? Does NUPENG dictate to any of these companies that they must enforce unionisation of their drivers? Why is NUPENG insisting that Dangote drivers must unionise?

Dangote has thousands of truck drivers in his sugar, salt, flour and cement companies. Why did NUPENG not bring up the issue of their unionisation all this while? Is it because NUPENG has read the hand writing on the wall and knows that Dangote is about to render them irrelevant? Dangote should call thier bluff.

NUPENG didn't down tools to force government to fix the terrible roads the unions drivers have been forced to use all these years. NUPENG kept looking the other way as hundreds of its drivers lost their lives in the course of delivering products across the country. Now NUPENG claims to have found its voice? Dangote should crush them. NUPENG has held Nigerians hostage for too long.
