It's a wise decision to stop teaching and focus on one IT career option. Going into teaching after graduating with a bsc degree in computer science /engineering is a waste of time in my opinion. The world revolves around ICT now especially web and app programming. A wise IT person should not be wasting time teaching theory in a school but rather developing critical skills and creating solutions in the IT industry proper. If one is going to teach at all it should be based on part time while concentrating more in one's chosen IT path. My opinion is that in 2018, you should concentrate on establishing yourself in your desired IT career path. Maybe you should go with web/software development since that's the reigning thing. My thoughts.

In natural language processing, research is still going on to create a machine that can read and understand and even compose large text just as human do. maluuba.com they mainly focuses on NLP, they have some nice research papers but if you don't understand those technical jargons, just go to Github and browse the code of that paper and get the code and study it. I believe you will get the intuition.

before you think of dropping a language ask yourself if the aim of you picking it up to learn at first is in sight or not.

I remembered when I picked up python to learn and then realized basically it's the the same oop just the syntax thats different

I decided to improve on the four languages I know already and get to stage where I can confidently Say am not just a professional but an expert in these languages

let's put religion aside and ask yourself certain questions like
1. Why did I begin a habit
2. Why did I allow it control me
3. what must I do to stop this habits

till you think about this things then you would start planning on changing because most times people don't really change the best they can do is try to suppress what ever habit, claiming to be born again and not living a righteous life is totally your fault

There is a saying which says it's best to avoid doing something than to start and face the consequences of your choices

truth be told alot of people have this mentality that is why people come out more than once to give their life to Christ because they keep doing what they claimed to have stopped or something entirely different and ungodly

But Microsoft AI platform should be similar to wit.ai and IBM Watson api, were you are to feed in datasets for training and possibly using naive classifier and decision trees.

Nah, i don't need the usual "intent/entity" approach. Correct me if i'm wrong, I've not used Microsoft AI before but i think this is how they roll too.

What i need is for the system to be able to identify a question and the subject of the question based on the part of speech structure of the sentence?

closed domain questions focuses on a single domain eg Hotel, where you ask the system questions about hotels and they system responds with answers from a data source which must be created to suite the close ended questions

if you just understand what i just typed you would agree with me that it focuses on descriptive results.

Never share your idea to greatness with someone that's faster, smarter and better than you in its implementation.

You better spend some time learning software development skills from an expert in the field. You can spend even a year or two to master that to an average level.

Create an MOU/NDA or get a lawyer to prepare an MOU/NDA which the developer would sign along with you that would serve as a proof and guide against him/her stealing your idea

I would advice you buy books that focuses on cyber security it's a broad field which I myself am also studying I have myself three years to be fully grounded in cyber security knowing all there is to know and applying it in the applications I made, make and will make going forward from steganography to hashing and salting to encryption and all others it's too much work couple with the fact am still a student but am determined to be good in these areas cos I realize it would be an added advantage for me and also a make me stand out in these era of web and software developers who are flooding the Nigerian ict spectrum
