ProgrammingRe: Where Are The Systems Programmers? by Raypawer(m): 1:44pm On May 12
You should not expect opportunities for system programming to come like web

So most system programmers are busy building solutions that are unheard of ..

The thing is that entry level is not as easy as web that's why it looks like web is more popular

The opportunity for system programming to web programming is like 7 to 1

There are more opportunities for system programmers than web or others but you have to be extremely good unlike web programming that can there's room for error and mistakes

Stephen0mozzy:
Hehe, keep the paycheck boss.
The statement is not whether it pays - of xourse it pays, there's low supply of the engineers in that field to service the small demands for it.

The statement said - how many opportunities are there for system programmers? What's the barrier to entry for entry level/juniors?
PoliticsRe: FG Introduces Green Tax On Vehicles From July 1, 2026 by Raypawer(m): 10:39pm On Apr 26
Why is this coming from X and not a more reliable source?

ogododo:
BREAKING NEWS: Starting July 1, 2026, Nigeria 🇳🇬 will introduce a new "green tax" surcharge on vehicles with high-capacity engines (2,000cc and above) as part of the 2026 fiscal policy measures. This tax aims to encourage cleaner energy by placing a 2%–4% levy on high-emission vehicles, while smaller vehicles, mass transit, and electric vehicles are exempted.

You should actually think again, this is hitting directly on some companies with mini trucks and trucks used for their daily distribution

And that would translate to consumer price inflation

Image123:
This is a good move actually.
The people wey this tax concern no go complain reach poor man wey no get even toy car oh. Imagine?
It's on IMPORT by the way. It's part of import duty. Clarifying this for those that think it's a yearly tax. Buy your size, guys. If you're not buying car or already have car, even 5,000cc, e no consign you. Stop hyperventilating, save your BP.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Gets Its First Unmanned 24-Hour Fuel Stations by Raypawer(m): 6:31am On Jan 08
No need being negative about this, how many customers are stealing from ATM machines? This would not happen

Rather adoption will spread like wild fire as more filling stations will adopt this.

It drives down opex and eliminate physical cash collection 😺

It would improve sales, remittance would be smooth during station accounting, in shot they might end up not having account remittance per fuel station

Technology is good 👍

CaptainFM1:
Customers will forget nozzle inside fuel tank mouth and yanked it off from the pumping/filling machine when they drive off.

We are about to see more petrol station fire.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Gets Its First Unmanned 24-Hour Fuel Stations by Raypawer(m): 6:22am On Jan 08
This is not a disadvantage

It's actually an advantage to the economy, those station attendant were productive but their productive output contribution to the economy is low

They can upskill and engage in another job that contributes to a higher productive output to the economy which would get them more pay

This is one of the factors that separates a wealthy nation from a poor one, productivity output

Many are working in Nigeria but the productivity output from most people are low, which results in low pay or low benefits and at the end of the day low spending and poor economic stimulation and poor purchasing power from the people

Coly2012:
Good way to go, but people will be out of job. Nothing without it's disadvantages.

Federal roads needs to be privatized for tax relief to business owners that can put the road in good shape and even make money from it if possible

See Apapa Oshodi road after a while Lagos state government gave it up for Dangote for a 10 years tax waiver

CareerRe: Dangote Refinery Sacks Nigerian Employees For Joining PENGASSAN by Raypawer(m): 10:13am On Sep 26, 2025
One of the few reasons I like privatisation, most of these would die a natural death

They are joining union to drag Dangote in the near future

Better he is taking this step now, what you wouldn't take tomorrow, don't take it today in a small form

saintopus:
This is very interesting. Unionism either die a natural death or continue to exist as a means to siphon resources from the people.
There are many things that will be tested as Nigeria 🇳🇬 gradually head to a possible better future.
HealthRe: Has Anyone Experienced This Kind Of Skin Reaction? (Photos) by Raypawer(m): 7:24pm On Sep 18, 2025
It's called uticaria, you skin is reaching to something

Either food, insect bite, dirty environment of something

I would recommend, change environment first

prinzmenzir:
Hi everyone, I’m posting on behalf of a friend who’s been experiencing a skin issue.

From time to time, her skin starts to swell and becomes very itchy. When she scratches the area, it gets worse l, the swelling increases, and the irritation spreads. She describes the sensation as feeling like “worms” under the skin. There are no visible worms, but that’s how she describes the feeling. All the recommended drugs so far isn't working.

Has anyone experienced something similar or know what this could be? Any suggestions on what might be causing it or what drugs she could get

Thanks in advance!

PoliticsRe: Minister Cautions Against FG, States Regulatory Impasse In Power Sector by Raypawer(m): 9:11am On Jul 30, 2025
In my opinion, FG should gradually hands off Power, it's not something they should fight about

It's inevitable, if Nigeria is to make progress with power, States and even Local Governments would have to start generating and distributing their power

A progressive nation should dissolve most of these from the center (FG)
PoliticsRe: Minister Cautions Against FG, States Regulatory Impasse In Power Sector by Raypawer(m): 9:10am On Jul 30, 2025
FG knows very well that if states starts generating and distributing power, TCN would loose out and national grid would gradually loose relevance

DadojoReloaded:
Investors are mostly behind all these panic meetings and messages.

If the national grid was performing it's duty optimally, states wouldn't be so eager to have their own independent power bills.

The conclusion is that the federal government is scared of investors loosing money because every state would start providing adequate power and rake in all the profits instead.

This signals the true collapse of the national grid...

PoliticsRe: Marketers Drop Petrol Prices Below Dangote’s Cost by Raypawer(m): 8:46am On Jul 30, 2025
We need that oil cartel now more than ever, competiton is good for the citizens 💯

donleo92:
Tinubu should not ban any importation.

Never!!!!

Let it be open to everyone.

Cement- Dangote- Monopoly
Salt- Dangote
Sugar- Dangote

Now Oil- Dangote.

Then that's very wrong, and don't forget Dangote is a new player in the game, and the government has to be liberal not like before when what ever he says, the government does..

The oil cartel will not accept, they even prefer to sell at the least profit than Dangote take over oil refinery from them.
PoliticsRe: Marketers Drop Petrol Prices Below Dangote’s Cost by Raypawer(m): 8:44am On Jul 30, 2025
So what's your point? Ban importation? Tell me you are joking right

Let importation continue, and the competition continue, then let the winner WIN 🏆 🙌 😁 😁

bigpicture001:
This is not about competition... it is about strifling a big company that employs about 5000 Nigerian through substitute importation

Nigeria has its cost perculiarity, that is why we have some thing at high cost..

Cost of security, cost of power, cost of high taxation , cost of transportation.. all this are not added to cost overseas...

So if someone jettison all those concers and invest $20B in ur economy, u hv to give him some level of guarantee ND protection ..

If Dangote fails.. NAIRA will reach 3k, more than 10k ppl will lose job...

It's the FG responsibility to mk it work.. but ...

The president friends must b the importers for him to b silent all these period
PoliticsRe: Marketers Drop Petrol Prices Below Dangote’s Cost by Raypawer(m): 8:39am On Jul 30, 2025
Is it this one that Dangote wants Government to ban importation... Hehehe

No way... Let the competition continue and Importers hope you are ready to fight it out with Dangote 😂😂😂

I saw recently online that Dangote refinery is already causing problems for European refiners

Dangote refinery is big and probably other African countries are already buying from Dangote, thereby reducing purchase from Europe as it's transport efficient

Wao, interesting days ahead
