bosses good evening, when I switch on my laptop, it will either make one "pim" sound, show lines on the screen but won't boot. Other times it will just show a black screen and nothing else, yesterday it showed the windows loading screen for over 20 minutes. That lines on the screen issue started last week, just show many lines but it won't boot. The screen is good o. But please what could cause this problem?

You could be having more than one issue with your laptop.

First could be the hard drive. It's probably wearing out. So, you want to try another hard drive to check how fast it boots.

As for the screen, trying out another screen isn't a bad Idea.

RAM could also be a culprit...

Seeing a tech rremains tour best bet at pin pointing the exact problem

1st- Never attempt to power the system again.

2nd- see a technician.

We couldn't possibly say what's wrong with it. For now the only argument that seem plausible is that there was abnormal increase in temperature of one of the chips on that spot.

Further details can only be revealed by a diagnosis.

In the mean time, desist from powering the laptop.

My laptop is HP PAVILION DV6000 running on windows 7 ultimate i don't have Bluetooth on it currently so i downloaded Bluetooth from Intel site and when i run it de feedback i get as error msg is dat,,, "my system needs to be on windows 7 services pack 1 or higher version of it" please have wasted a lot of money and time downloading the service pack 892mb and it keeps failing to update it

Why burn tons of data?

You could easily give it to a technician who has the Win7 SP1 installation media. He will also install the required drivers.

You need to install the required drivers in compatibility mode

However, the laptop is pretty old model. Hence the highest OS it can take should be win 7. Not win 8 or win 10. Please.

Download-unzip, then install.

It's pretty much the same process.

The difference however is that instead of using Windows 7 installation media, you'll be using Windows 10 installation media.

Good day gurus.. I just notice this in my laptop since yesterday. Anytime I switched off when it was not plugged in... The battery would automatically drain even if it was 99% when I switch it off, the worst thing is even if I switch off for 1min pere.. It automatically drains and won't on again till I plug it, and it will start at 0%.

What might be the issue

Try another battery first... If the issue persists, see a technician...
