This just happened this afternoon nairalanders. A guy living close to our house impregnated a girl of 17 years and the case is still on because they are still doubting who is in charge of the pregnancy. The lady insisted she knows nobody else but the guy after several questions. And the parents of the guy is supporting the their child. Anyway that's not my problem because I don't care. The problem now is that this same guy, let me say he is 18 years because he just finished his waec, started tosting my little sister, calling her fine girl, asanwa, ezigbo Ugo. My little sister got angry and told him to stop that she doesn't like it. That he should first of all go settle the case at hand before getting himself in another problem or mess. The boy got angry, this afternoon my sister is coming out of house, he blocked her and started slapping her mercilessly and teared her top. Smashed her phone on ground, my little brother who is 15 years came to know what's wrong, he slapped him equally. My father came to know what's wrong, he started exchanging words with my father who is old. My younger brother now came to shop and reported the issue to me, immediately I went to house to know what's wrong. Getting to our house, I discovered that the boy has disfigured my sister's ear. It has swollen up and her phone screen broke into pieces. I called her and we went to guy house. I called the guy's parent and we entered inside to discuss the issue. After the guy and my sister narrated what happened. The parent blamed my sister for not reporting to them and blamed their son for not reporting too. I kept quite, even the parent went to the extent of saying that their son didn't do anything bad by toasting her. I thanked them, I told them I respect them so much that's why I did want fight boy back immediately I came here. But what I want the to do is to fix the boy and bring it back on Sunday. The guy in my front told me he won't fix the phone and nothing will happen. The guy's parent supported him and said they won't fix the phone back. Now I don't want to fight the guy back, I don't believe in jungle justice due to my bible trained conscience. I need your advice in what to do next if he didn't buy new phone from till Sunday and refuse to take my sister to the hospital friends.

People here will only advise you based on their personal experiences or the experiences of people close to them. Those with bad experiences will certainly advise you to forget about her.

I've seen a distance relationship that lasted five years. I was in same school with the girl while the guy was back in Nigeria. Throughout the period of her studies, she was faithful to him. Of course sometimes during the summer break, she'll travelled to Nigeria to be with him. I've also seen distance relationships that couldn't last a year.
Whether yours will succeed or not will depend on you both, only you both can make it work. Understand though, that it won't be easy. But if you truly love her, then distance should just be another challenge.
