BREAKING News: Ibe Kachikwu Meets President Buhari Over 'Explosive' Letter on NNPC Crisis.

The Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu, will meet President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa today (Thursday) at 11:30 a.m.

The meeting is coming two days after a memo sent by the minister to the president, complaining about insubordination and alleged corruption by the Group Managing Director of the NNPC, Maikanti Baru, was leaked to the media.

The minister is expected to further discuss the allegations with the president at Thursday’s meeting.

Bloody Battle: Deadly Terrorists Ambush and Kill Nigerien & U.S. Soldiers in Niger

Several Nigerien soldiers and three U.S. soldiers have been killed in an ambush in Niger near the border with Mali, by terrorist group operating in the region.

Reports say two U.S. soldiers were fatally wounded in the attack.

U.S. Africa Command said the patrol had come under “hostile fire” and was working to confirm the details.

The U.S. army has been providing training to Niger’s army to help combat Islamist militants in the region, including the North African branch of al-Qaeda.

The militants are most active in neighboring Mali, where French troops intervened in 2013 to prevent them advancing on the capital.

A woman has lost her life after she reportedly bought some herbal drugs on Facebook she had thought would help lighten her skin.

A Thai woman from Prae died after taking supplements sold online that were advertised as a way to get white skin and enhance breast size. But she developed kidney disease and died in her own bathroom before help could reach her.

Relatives who had arranged her 35th birthday party celebration on Friday were concerned when she didn't show. On Sunday they took her cake to present to her at her funeral, reported Kapook.

Wijitra Jantaphrom or Waew started taking the "herbal" supplements in capsules some months ago and initial results looked promising as her complexion improved.

The founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop Oyedepo has revealed what will happen to Nigeria which he saw in a divine revelation in 1979.

Dr. David Oyedepo, the Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, says Nigeria will not breakup in spite of its present challenges. He said this in a satellite telecast of the church’s prayer session monitored by the News Agency of Nigeria in Jos on Monday.

The Bishop had led the church in a 30-minute breakfast prayer for the country. Oyedepo said it was made known to him via divine revelation in 1979 while praying for the well-being of the country that Nigeria would never disintegrate.

A heartbroken woman has been shocked after finding out that her daughter had actually planned her own funeral after her death at 21.
A devastated mum has revealed how she found out her daughter had planned own funeral when she passed away at 21 – right down to the small details like coffin colour.

Lyn Eades, 45, from New Addington, Croydon, was left shattered when her daughter Amy passed away after a life-long struggle with Cystic Fibrosis.

It was only when she was going through her iPad after her death that she made the heartbreaking discovery that Amy had been looking up colours of coffins in preparation, and had even chosen her song.

The location of separatist leader, Nnamdi Kanu has become an object of political brickbats with the army denying being in possession of him.
Authoritative sources from the Nigerian Army have said the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, is not in military custody.

The sources, from the army headquarters, Abuja, and the 82 Division headquarters, Enugu State, which coordinates Operation Python Dance II, told one of Punch correspondents on Thursday that Kanu was not arrested or detained, as being speculated.

Kanu’s lawyers on Wednesday filed a suit before the Federal High Court in Abuja praying for an order, directing the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, to produce Kanu in court.

The conspiracy theorist who initially predicted the world would end on September 23 has reset Doomsday to 15 October.

According to a report by Newsweek, David Meade, a self-proclaimed “researcher”, numerologist and Catholic, believes the end of the world as we know it, as foretold in the biblical Book of Revelation, will take place next month. He said the 23rd was simply a sign of the oncoming of the disaster.

Meade on his website clarified his belief that the 23rd is the date of a “historical event” in the skies that would signal the oncoming rapture.

According to a report by Sun News, a Nigerian man is on the run after he reportedly killed his pregnant girlfriend during a scuffle in Yaba. It was also reported that the suspect began showing up at the woman's apartment before the sad encounter that took her life.


The sudden interest by the man raised her suspicion as she couldn't understand what the suspect was looking for in her house. The victim's sixty-four–year-old grandmother, Mrs Gbemisola Agbola could not hold back tears over the sad death of her granddaughter.

The late Islamat Bolaji was beaten to death with her pregnancy by her estranged lover, one Okiki Arisekola, a commercial bus driver, during a scuffle on September 16. The incident happened at No. 50 Wright Street Adekunle, Yaba, Lagos, where the victim lived with her grandmother.

A 20-year-old woman in Nasarawa State identified as Aisha Isa, who is the second wife of her husband, has shown herself to be an incarnate of the devil after she allegedly killed the two daughters of her husband’s first wife.
