Well, there's a barcode on your DS 160. A comment as whether to refuse or approve you might have been made on your ds160 that can only been seen by the VO. I guess that's why you can do anything to your DS160 3 days prior to your interview

Please I have my interview coming up in December.
I deferred my admission and I'm expecting a new I-20, but, as I went to my visa appointment page this morning, I didn't see the link where I can update my DS160 Confirmation number. Could this be as a result of the fact that I rescheduled my appointment? I need to fill a new ds160 form but I'm not seeing where I can update the number.

Please, is it really compulsory or necessary to have a job before applying for visa? I completed my service last year and I haven't been able to get a job. I currently do fashion designing. I am applying for social work to resume Jan. Interview is in Dec.
From transcripts, I see a lot of "what do you do?" questions
Please help.
