I got admission to school in the US. My funding is coming from a friend who is based in the US and I have a brother there as well. Will having someone in the US as my school sponsor make my profile seem somehow or this wouldn’t be an issue?

I am married(female) with a Son and have been working for up to 6years. I have applied to severally universities in the US for MSC and PhD in Chemistry/Biochemistry for fall 2022. I would like to know if;
1. Self sponsor is a red flag especially if I have full funding
2. My son is 2years old and I plan to leave him in Nigeria with my mum. Is this a red flag as well?
3. What duration of bank statement is required for proof of fund for the purpose of admission and visa?
4. If my account balance is equal to my Cost of study( for the purpose of admission), will it affect my chances of getting admission?

Please I really need your advice and suggestions. Thank you

Lol…..At the end most won’t even spend up to what is written on their i20. You drop you own thoughts and move, whoever wants to argue should do research before coming for you lol….Anyways who ever Dey find cheap good school should apply to colleges n unis in Minnesota “Minnesota state uni, St. Cloud state, Metro state and other state owned schools, scholarship/funding or not, the state pays half of your tuition “Excluding uni of Minnesota”

I also got an email saying I have been rescheduled for 1st of December. Now on the cgi profile, my prior appointment for august 19, 2022 is showing “canceled” & my cgi portal now shows like I haven’t booked any appointment and asking that I re-enter my visa receipt number. Just like I am starting a fresh application. Do I just do this Please, enlighten. Thanks.

So I went for my F1 visa interview today. I got the white paper but the VO told me she will be placing me on administrative processing until am able to ask my school to give me a new i20 with the TA I said they gave me in fall 2021.

But i think she didn't really hear me well. I told her i had a TA but couldn't continue due to the fact that I didn't get an early date.

Please what could this mean gurus?
