ProgrammingRe: Any Iphone/touch Developers In Nigeria? by realnaija(op): 9:42pm On Jan 23, 2010
I downloaded the SDK and have been teaching myself so far.
The next step is to make a working App, but anything I can think of looks to already have been done.
I am thinking of something with a Nigeria/West African slant. What do you guys think?

Thank you for your advice. Will NAFDAC need samples to test before they approve and grant a license?

Many people I've spoken to, have indicated they will buy off me if I bring back some wine(we are talking from 10 to 100 bottles)
But I will rather sell wholesale and get my cash upfront rather than selling it bit by bit. plus I don't have a shop and don't want the hassle of holding stock.

Hi Guys/Girls,

I used to be a beer drinker and I am now finding that I prefer both red and white wine and have stopped drinking beer.
A lot of Naijas abroad, have also switched to Wine.

What I would like to know is there a big enough market to import wine into Nigeria?
There is still a big beer and Stout drinking culture I know. But when I was last in Nigeria 2 years ago I saw a lot of middle class people drinking wine (OK only in Lagos) but it was mostly south African wine and not very good quality.

I know I would need to come back to ascertain if there is a market. And if so find out how I can sell wholesale.

Any feedback please.

I've gone back with my price, but no agrrement as of yet.

I'm thinking of maybe contacting foreign firms with presence in Naija, if they might be interested in a joint venture .
Does anyone know if this will be possible to get them interested.

I am open to options, either selling for a price I think is right, or going into partnership with a company for a long term earning potential.

Thank you my brotha, that's been my intention from the start, to raise some money then go back and do something there.
But life is tough here, I have to pay for my studies, in addition to pay bills and send the occasional money back home.
The person who wants it, is offering me more than double what I paid for it.
I am just afraid if I say no, that they wll just go ahead and take it any way, i dont realy trust anyone on ground to fight my corner, and this person nah big man.
I see the potential, that's why I got it at the time

People, just to late una know.

Oghara is at the crosroads of Benin, Sapele and Warri.
There are 2 universities and a polythechnic in the vicinity.
Near the oil town of Warri(20mins away) Benin commercial centre(20mins away) Sapele soso(10 mins away)

I heard a call centre being setup being set up there, New naval base(Logistics) Loads of students

Constant street light (solar) heavy security the as the ex govenor is frommthere and a big naval base.

I just want to know if I should hold on, or sell and make a profit more than doubling what I paid for it?

How's the property markert in Oghara? I have been away for a 4 years
and in that time it looks like a lot of development has taken place.
I have a large plot of land, which someone has contacted me that they want to buy, I don't know if I should hold on untill I can afford to do something e.g a housing estate or factory or sell up and put the money in the bank .
What do you guys/gals think?

very true, but how likely is it going to happen. When there is money to be made. Remember politician/pastors leave their airconditioned homes, to their air conditioned cars to heir air conditioned offices, and when they are tired fly 1st class or in their privat jets. And the ones who don't have that aspire for that. The Nigerian dream,

Some times I believe that the pastors , imans are all in cahoots with the politicians. When it comes to election time(politicians) building fund(for their mansions) they all smile and use God's name anyhow ha let me not go there or I will say something bad cheesy

This is the first time, I've ever replied to anything here. Do you want to jnow why? It's because everything he has said here is true. 99.9% of politicians in Nigeria are crooks and of the men of God(less said about the name) they are well and truly catching up. You never hear them speak of salvation just getting rich wink
