@TalkTalkTwins There was an utter surprise mixed with amusement in Uganda after a married man got stuck between the legs of a woman at Triple Zero Guesthouse after making love with her . The man was cheating on his wife with side-chick and failed to pull out. It was reported that as at the time of reporting this, efforts were still being made to release the bonded duo. @TalkTalkTwins https://i0.wp.com/nghappenings.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/donald-trump.jpg?w=480&ssl=1 The Africans in the diaspora would on Monday join their counterparts from Haiti, El Salvador and other countries in a rally to protest against U.S. President Donald Trump’s alleged racist remarks. The rally would also hold in New Jersey, Atlanta, Houston and across other major U.S. cities. The organisers of the event urged all people of African descent and others to attend the rally to “reject the denigration President Trump uttered against us”. The U.S. president reportedly made the comment during a meeting with congressional leaders in the Oval Office on Thursday. “Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” Trump allegedly said after being presented with a proposal to restore protections for immigrants from the countries in question. The protest tagged: ‘Rally against Trump’ at Time Square on Monday, would commemorate the Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Day., which celebrates the death of the civil rights icon. The Day is a Federal holiday in the U.S. falling on the third Monday of every January and this year marks the 50th anniversary of the death of King, who was tragically assassinated on April 4, 1968. “In response to the comments made by President Trump on Thursday about countries including Africa and Haiti, please Join Mayor Bill de Blasio in denouncing Trump at a rally at Time Square on Monday. “On MLK Day, New York City will take a stand for our sisters and brothers from Haiti, throughout Africa, El Salvador and other nations in the diaspora that have become targets of President Trump’s hatred and bigotry. “This moment is too critically important for us not to come together. “Let’s honour Dr King’s birthday by showing the world the progress being made to help achieve his dream,” Famod Konneh, Bronx Borough Director, New York City Office of the Mayor, said. However, Trump had, while signing the proclamation for King’s Day on Wednesday, said the late civil rights leader “dedicated his life to a vision: that all Americans would live free from injustice and enjoy equal opportunity as children of God”. “His strong, peaceful, and lifelong crusade against segregation and discrimination brought our Nation closer to the founding ideals set forth in the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. “Today, as we come together to honour Dr King, we know that America is stronger, more just, and more free because of his life and work,” Trump said. @TalkTalkTwins A teenager was strangled to death as she laughed and joked with the man accused of murdering her. The suspect, Ashley Foster, 24, was released from prison just three days before he allegedly killed 17-year-old Megan Bills during a sex game. Megan ’s body was found badly decomposed at a hostel for former inmates in Brierley Hill, West Midlands, on May 3, 2017. A court heard that her remains were stuffed in a wardrobe wrapped in clingfilm by Foster, who is suspected to have killed her as part of a ‘snuff movie fantasy’ three weeks earlier. Police released CCTV footage of Megan’s final moments, which was shown to a jury on Tuesday. She can be seen laughing with Foster in a supermarket as they bought cans of soft drink and blue Rizla cigarette papers. Jurors were shown further CCTV of the pair’s movements around the hostel, including Megan’s last sighting as she entered Foster’s room. Prosecutor Crispin Aylett QC said: “Megan was seen wearing boots she had borrowed from her mother and tartan trousers. “Foster is wearing black trainers with white stripes, a t-shirt and perhaps green or blue trousers. “At 3.35pm we can see Megan going into Mr. Foster’s room, she is not wearing those black boots. “This is the last sighting of Megan on the footage from any of the CCTV cameras.” Foster claimed the pair had consensual intercourse before Megan died accidentally during a sex game gone wrong. But Mr. Aylett QC said Foster had been carrying out his own sexual fantasies when he throttled Megan to death. He then allegedly searched for snuff films while her body decomposed as he tried to cover his tracks by vacuuming flies and spraying bed sheets with cleaning fluid. Footage taken from May 2 shows Foster in the back garden of the property hanging out his quilt to dry. Mr Aylett added: “He can be seen hanging a quilt up and returning inside. His windows are open in his room. “He has a bottle with him, white with a nozzle to it which he uses to spray the quilt. “He (later) comes out, turns the quilt over and uses the spray on the underside.” The trial, at Wolverhampton Crown Court, continues. https://saharareporters.com/sites/default/files/styles/normal_medium/public/page_images/news/2013/emirates.jpg?itok=KbDuDOYa Less than few hours after the United Arab Emirates (UAE) carrier, Emirates Airlines, launched its second daily flight to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos and returned to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja, the airline has recorded its first causality. A source close to the airline told SaharaReporters on Friday night that a Nigerian passenger identified as Mrs. Abaniwonda Modupe Kofoworola was found dead onboard the airline when it landed at the Lagos Airport. Kofoworola according to the airline source was with the passport number: A07562816 until her death on the aircraft. The flight EK783 (DXB) with the Expected Time of Arrival (ETA) at 15:55hrs, but, arrived at 15:50 hrs with the corpse of Mrs. Kofoworola. Immediately on arrival, the airline crew notified the medical team of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) who immediately swung into action, but the deceased was confirmed dead by Dr. Akanwo of FAAN Medical at 16:35hrs. Immediately she was confirmed dead, FAAN officials together with the staff of the airline at the Lagos Airport evacuated her body from the aircraft, loaded her in a FAAN ambulance and moved her to the general hospital in Ikeja. As at the time of filing this report, the cause of her death could not be ascertained. The source said: “No one knows the exact time the woman died onboard the airplane, but immediately the aircraft landed, the crew called our attention to the incident and we had to inform FAAN officials.” This is not the first time a Nigerian would be dying onboard Emirates coming into Nigeria. It would be recalled that in July, the President of Lions Club in Nigeria, Mr. Dada Isaac Olusola on arrival slumped and died at the Lagos Airport few minutes after arriving at the airport. The deceased, who was in the company of his wife and Lions Club members had arrived the country aboard the airline from the United States of America. The plane had a stopover in Dubai before connecting Lagos. The team had gone to the US for a conference, relating to Lions Club. Olusola was with the passport number: A04501199 as at the time of his death. He had arrived the country on flight EK783 (DXB) at 15:55 hours. But instead of going for laser surgery, which can take some time to completely get rid of the inking, she opted to have surgery to completely remove it instead. The decision has left her with 13 stitches. In 2010 she had a rib cage tattoo which read: ‘Stephen, till death do us part you own my heart.’ https://www.lailasblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/473FD21D00000578-5171177-image-a-1_1513085501713.jpg However, she’s now had the name ‘Stephen’ cut out of the tattoo, leaving the rest of the words in place. https://i0.wp.com/showbiz.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/tinu-482x410.jpg?resize=482%2C410&ssl=1 In his biography titled “A Reed Made Flint” written by Ovation Magazine Boss Dele Momodu, which revealed why he went into politics and emerged speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara claimed the National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu called him into a meeting in his bedroom, asking him to step down for Femi Gbajabiamila, who represents Surulere federal constituency, Lagos State. As a matter of fact, Asiwaju (Tinubu) is someone that we respect very much and no one can doubt the sterling role he played in the emergence of APC as a government. Asiwaju had through emissaries sought an audience with me and in deference to him, I went to see him along with a colleague, then Right Honourable Kawu Sumaila. When we got to the Asiwaju, seasoned politician that he was, he asked us to come to his bedroom. We held this meeting in his bedroom! He appealed to us and said what he only wanted, as a leader, as a political father, was for us to please collapse our campaign into Femi’s and declare our support for him. Asiwaju maintained that, as a matter of fact, support for Femi was a support for him. He said if we supported Femi by extension we were actually supporting him and reciprocating the work he did to ensure APC won the Presidency.’ The Cable reports that Dogara further revealed in the book set to be released on December 26, 2017, that he stood his ground; ‘THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY STAND, SIR. IT WAS MY STAND WHEN (AMINU) TAMBUWAL WAS RUNNING FOR THE SPEAKERSHIP AND I RAN FOR THE POSITION FOR DEPUTY SPEAKER. A defender Rodrigo earned a red card after trying to poke a finger into an opponent’s backside. With a fear of the drop from Brazil’s Serie A on the line on Sunday, Ponte Preta were leading relegation rivals Vitoria 2-0 before collapsing to a 3-2 defeat that sent them down. The catalyst, on 20 minutes and with that two-goal lead in hand, was the sending-off of Rodrigo – the centre back being dismissed for his assault on Rodrigo Tellez. Television replays showed Rodrigo grabbing the Vitoria man from behind and appearing to jab a finger into his backside in an off-the-ball situation. Ponte Preta promptly surrendered their lead, falling behind with eight minutes remaining before their fans invaded the pitch to have the match abandoned, sealing their demise. Supporters in the 13,000 sell-out crowd tore down parts of the wire fencing and charged on to the pitch, with angry supporters surrounding goalkeeper Aranha. Most of the other players ran from the field and, although the referee waited almost an hour in the hope of restarting the game, he ruled that the players’ safety could not be guaranteed and abandoned the match. https://cdn.cnn.com/cnnnext/dam/assets/171124141817-03-egypt-mosque-attack-1124-exlarge-169.jpg Victims are seen on the floor of al Rawdah mosque following the gun and bomb attack Friday. The death toll in a bomb and gun attack on a Sufi mosque in northern Sinai has risen to 305, with 27 children among the dead, Egypt's state prosecutor said Saturday. Another 128 people were wounded, according to a statement from the public prosecutor read out on Egyptian state-run news channel Nile TV. Between 25 and 30 armed men carried out the assault on the al Rawdah Sufi mosque in Bir al-Abed, the statement said. The prosecutor also gave more detail about how the brutal attack unfolded. The attackers arrived in five SUVs and were armed with automatic machine guns, the statement said. They took position in front of the mosque and its entrances. Survivors of the incident now at the hospital described massive gunfire and loud explosions at the start of the attack. A number of attackers, some of them masked, then entered the mosque, the statement said. The attackers had long beards and hair, were wearing military fatigues and were armed with heavy machine guns, according to the statement. At least one of those who entered the mosque was carrying an ISIS flag, it said. There has not yet been a claim of responsibility from ISIS or its affiliate in Egypt. However, the attack bears the hallmarks of a strike by ISIS, which maintains a foothold in the north of the Sinai Peninsula and inspires local Islamist extremist groups, despite the efforts of Egyptian security forces. President vows 'brute force' President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi vowed to respond to the massacre -- believed to be the deadliest terrorist attack on the country's soil -- with "brute force." Egyptian warplanes conducted airstrikes on "terrorist outposts" and vehicles following the attack, the military said Saturday. "The Egyptian Air Force pursued the terrorist elements, discovered and destroyed a number of vehicles that carried out the brutal terrorist killings, and killed all terrorists inside those vehicles," military spokesman Tamer Rifai said in a statement Saturday. It also targeted a number of terrorist outposts containing weapons, ammunition and radical elements, Rifai said. A teenage survivor of the attack is treated Friday at a hospital in Ismailia. Al Rawdah mosque is known as the birthplace of an important Sufi cleric. Sufism is a mystical branch of Islam that some jihadists consider heretical. Witnesses told CNN that the attack started when an explosive device went off in a building adjacent to the mosque and that gunmen fired at worshippers as they fled. Gunmen then entered the mosque and fired at those inside, they said. The attackers had also set up "ambush" locations and opened fire on ambulances as they transported the wounded to al-Arish before the arrival of security services, according to witnesses. Photos from inside the mosque showed what appeared to be bodies lined up in rows on the carpet. 'No one got out of the mosque' One survivor, who asked that his name not be used, told CNN on Saturday that he still had shrapnel in an eye that was covered by a bandage. Sitting with tribesmen outside a hospital emergency room, he said he believes he survived because he was covered by the bodies of other victims as the attackers went around the mosque to ensure everyone was dead. "No one got out of the mosque," said another witness at a nearby hospital. The man, who also declined to be identified out of fear of retaliation, said his father and eight other family members, including a brother and nephew, were killed. The man said soldiers from a nearby military unit must have heard the gunfire during the attack but did not immediately respond. "Even the ambulances came under fire." he said. A man nearby nodded in agreement. Moments later, hospital volunteers alerted a military officer protecting the hospital -- who asked reporters to leave. Another man told CNN he drove one of the first ambulances to the scene but turned around after shots were fired at the vehicle. Ambulances from al-Arish managed to reach the mosque only after security forces secured the road, he said. The attackers used automatic weapons, said Diaa Rashwan, the chairman of the state information service. Some victims were also killed by the explosions. National mourning declared In a short, televised speech after meeting with security officials, Sisi said the government would hunt down the attackers. "We will respond to this act with brute force against these terrorists," he said. "This terrorist act will strengthen our resolve, steadfastness and will to stand up to, resist and battle against terrorism." President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, center, meets with officials in Cairo after the mosque attack. Three days of national mourning have been declared. Sisi has also ordered the armed forces to build a memorial to those killed at the mosque, a statement on his official Facebook page said. The grand imam of Al-Azhar, the premier religious authority in Egypt, condemned the "barbaric attack" on the mosque. "The shedding of blood, the violation of the sacred houses of God and the terrorizing of worshippers are acts of corruption on the earth," Ahmed El-Tayyeb said. The targeting of mosques followed an attack on churches, El-Tayyeb said, adding that Egyptians would prevail over terrorism with solidarity and determination. Northern Sinai unrest Friday's attack prompted wide international condemnation, with US President Donald Trump among the leaders expressing condolences and vowing to continue the fight against terrorism. Sisi expressed concern recently that ISIS militants fleeing Iraq and Syria would come to Egypt. Egyptian security forces face almost daily attacks from militants with ISIS ties in northern Sinai. The Wilayat Sinai group, which pledged allegiance to ISIS in 2014, has been behind numerous attacks and hundreds of deaths in the desert region. It claimed responsibility for the bombing of a Russian passenger jet that crashed in October 2015 in the Sinai Peninsula, killing 224 people. Relatives of the victims of the mosque attack sit outside a hospital Saturday in the eastern port city of Ismailia. If it turns out ISIS militants are behind the latest attack, "it reflects their willingness to continue to do large operations that have large civilian casualties," Timothy Kaldas, a non-resident fellow at the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy, told CNN. There would be two plausible motives for an ISIS attack, he said. First, ISIS considers Sufis to be heretics, making the Sufi mosque a legitimate target in the eyes of ISIS, even though all worshippers probably weren't Sufi. Second, Kaldas said, ISIS may be taking revenge against members of the Sawarkah tribe, to which most of the people in the area belong, because it has been cooperating with the Egyptian government in its campaign against Wilayat Sinai. cc: Lalasticlala mynd44 Dominique Source: http://www.reporter247.org/2017/11/egypt-mosque-attack-death-toll-climbs.html |

https://alexis.lindaikejisblog.com/photos/shares/5a15cc1f4b1fd.png National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, says there will be no automatic ticket for President Buhari to run as APC's presidential candidate in 2019 as the party would follow the normal democratic process of conducting a primary to elect its presidential flagbearer. Speaking after a meeting with members of pan-Yoruba group, Afenifere, in Ondo state earlier today, Tinubu said the leadership of the party had not endorsed President Buhari as its sole candidate for the forthcoming presidential election. His statement was against the recent endorsement of President Muhammadu as the sole candidate of the APC for the 2019 election by the APC governors. Tinubu's comment comes after Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, declared his support for President Buhari to run for a second term in office “No governors can appropriate the power of endorsement to themselves. Buhari is a believer in the process. The Buhari, I know, believes in the rule of law. We wanted him even before the last convention and primary of the party and Akeredolu is here standing with me, he was not the governor then. He was one of the leading delegates that voted properly and Buhari was a clear winner. We followed all the constitutional provision and an individual or group’s opinion does not really matter at this stage, Buhari will want a normal process. Buhari that, I know, who says he will lose at any convention? But if the national body, the NEC (National Executive Committee) and all of us as members endorsed him as our single candidate, we will not be violating INEC regulations, we will not be violating our party constitution. What you are hearing is just a campaign by other people who might like to do so. Buhari has not excluded anybody, and he has not infringed on anybody’s ambition if there is. We can not be sycophantic about it.” he said Source: http://www.reporter247.org/2017/11/no-automatic-ticket-for-buhari-in-2019.html |

Reports gathered reveal Governor Rochas Okorocha of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Imo State might have 10 more statues of eminent political figures to unveil. After unveiling the statues of two African presidents, Jacob Zuma of South Africa and Ellen Sirleaf Johnson of Liberia, Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha is set to unveil 10 more statues. Even though his actions had generated lots of controversies, Reporter24/7 learnt on Friday that the governor would soon unveil more statues. A correspondent visited the Ikemba Ojukwu Centre in Owerri, Imo State capital, where the statues were erected, but security men didn’t allow him to enter. However, a top Government House official told a correspondent that Okorocha was set to unveil statues of former President Olusegun Obasanjo; a former Vice-President, Alex Ekwueme; a former Senate President, late Evans Enwerem; and the first civilian Imo State Governor, Sam Mbakwe. According to the source, others whose statues would soon be unveiled are those of the first Nigerian President, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe; former Prime Minister Tafawa Balewa; late sage, Obafemi Awolowo; and Ghanaian President, Nana Akufo-Addo. The source said that of Akufo-Addo would be unveiled at a ceremony when he visits the state soon. The government official said the idea of unveiling the statues was to celebrate leaders, who had through “selfless efforts” contributed to the development of the state, Nigeria and the African continent. The source said, “The governor is interested in celebrating those who have contributed to the development of mankind, especially on the African continent. In the years to come, these leaders will be no more but their statues will keep them evergreen in the minds of the people. “With the statues, they have been inducted into the Imo Hall of Fame and have received the highest award in the state called the Imo Merits Award.” When asked how much each statue cost the state government, the official said they were not as expensive as people were exaggerating. “It is not as costly as people had exaggerated. Though I don’t know the exact amount, the government cannot use about N500m to erect one statue. It is not possible. The governor is a prudent manager of resources,” he said. Meanwhile, a former governor of the state, Ikedi Ohakim, has criticised Okorocha for spending state resources on building statues. Ohakim, who handed power over to Okorocha in 2011, said that his successor had impoverished the people and failed “comprehensively” in terms of leadership and development. He said, “Should I praise Okorocha because civil servants now receive half of their salaries instead of 100 per cent? Should I praise his government for owing pensioners for over 30 months and recently issuing dud cheques to them? What exactly are those good works for which I was supposed to be showering praises on the governor? “The fact is that no right-thinking Nigerian can praise Rochas. Our biggest industry, education, is in a free fall. Youth unemployment has risen to an unprecedented height. Executive promises are discarded like used napkins like the promise of conducting local government area election, which has been made eight times but discarded eight times. “Quality and due process have been relegated to the background, leading to an unmitigated infrastructural disaster like roads collapsing within 90 days. There is also a deliberate strategy to destroy our judicial system. “Court orders are hardly obeyed, judicial quarters are bulldozed with recklessness and as of today, judicial officers are being owed 11 months’ salaries, while monuments costing hundreds of millions of naira are being mounted for foreign dignitaries and whereas our children are killed in their countries.” Similarly, a group called the Igbo National Council said it was a show of shame by the Okorocha administration to have erected Zuma’s statue in the state. INC also said that the naming of a street in Owerri after Zuma was unfortunate. INC President, Chilos Godsent, told Saturday Reporter24/7 that South Africa, in recent times, had recorded the “wanton killing of many Igbo youths who are doing business or working in South Africa in the name of xenophobia.” He said, “Zuma cannot be said to be a Nigerian or an Igbo patriot; he has not contributed in any capacity to the well-being of Imo State indigenes or the Igbo.” INC said the INC was, therefore, calling on Okorocha “to immediately reverse the naming of a street in Owerri after Zuma and dismantle his statue.” Source: http://www.reporter247.org/2017/11/statues-of-obasanjo-ekwueme-awolowo.html

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) says biometrics will soon be used for transactions on the automated teller machine (ATM). Pin codes are currently being used. Dipo Fatokun, chairman, Nigeria Electronic Fraud Forum (NeFF) and CBN director of banking and payment system, made this statement at 2017 annual retreat of the Nigeria Electronic Fraud Forum (NeFF) in Ibadan during the weekend. Fatokun said the introduction of biometrics would help in the fight against electronic fraud. He said sharing ATM pin codes with a third party is against the policy of banking sector but could not be avoided in some circumstances especially in situations where the account owner is not literate or incapacitated. “Your pin and account details are not supposed to be disclosed to third person but as you rightly said, we have some people who are not literate or incapacitated and that makes them to disclosing their details to third party,” he said. “What we are canvassing is that in a time soon to come, with the BVN in place, biometrics will be used for transactions on ATM. “That means if you want to transact with your ATM, you will need to use your biometrics. There is no way you can give your finger to a third party. If that is enabling, it will make our system to be more secure and make all our transactions to be validated. “But biometric electronic devices are very expensive because of the technologies involved but I am sure, we shall get there soon.” Source: http://www.reporter247.org/2017/11/man-scams-people-by-sending-them_21.html
