Frankly, there’s no right way to cope with getting cheated on. It’s pretty traumatic for anyone — girl or guy — because, at the end of the day, heartbreak truly knows no gender.
While you may look for ways to cover up the pain, be it through drugs or booze, or even a phase of sexual promiscuity, deep down you know that you’re not okay. And lying to yourself really isn’t helping anyone. The thing is, I’m not really sure anything is going to help — at least not in the moment.
When you first hear that you got cheated on, you’ll probably feel three things: First, that beating thing in your chest — that was formerly coined “the heart” — will stop for a second before sinking down to your gut; second, your face will go numb, especially in the cheeks.

And lastly, you’ll feel like your brain is temporarily floating away.
After all this, you’ll snap back to reality and probably mutter something along the lines of “f*ck my life” under your breath. At that point, you’ll probably take yourself somewhere silent and deserted, so you can just marinate in it all.
And that’s where I’ll offer my first piece of advice.

Nothing is forever and nothing is indestructible.

When you assume things last forever, it’s human nature to start taking them for granted. This is why coping with death feels like one giant sucker punch. You don’t expect it.
Next to the untouched remains of your heart, your so called “life” is now in pieces on the ground. I guess you learned this the hard way, considering your relationship, self-assurance and ambition feel swept away.
Pick yourself up. Consider this the reality check you probably needed in your life anyway — not just your relationship.

Love yourself, first.

Before ever searching for somebody else to love, make sure you love yourself first. Not in a narcissistic, egomaniacal way, but in a way where you’re not dependent on another person or just one other person.
Look, nothing lasts forever. While relationships are beautiful things, they can also be detrimental to your own independence and self-determination. When times are good, you’ll feel inclined to tell one another, “you’re my everything.” But when you discover that your “everything” has been sleeping around, you’ll find yourself with nothing. And you’ll feel worthless.

When you love yourself, though, the things you stand for and the rawest elements of what makes you, you, you’re able to see your own self-worth and not just the role of other people within your life.
Life is nothing more than a sequence of transitions. From infancy to childhood to adolescence to adulthood. From one love to the next — until you find the one that sticks. Like everything else, people come and go; sometimes without even a decent goodbye.
In the end, you’ll only have yourself to fall back on. In good times and bad, sickness and health. So love yourself first — before anyone else.

A man has revealed he has been injected with the Ebola virus on purpose in a bid to fight the deadly disease. And according to Mirror.co.uk, Peter Hubbard said he hopes the small risk he is taking could help create a vaccine to prevent further outbreaks of the disease, which has claimed thousands of lives in west Africa.
Speaking from his apartment in Alexandria, Virginia, Mr Hubbard, a consultant who specialises in natural gas and peer markets, said:
"I get a lot of satisfaction out of the fact that this could potentially develop into a viable vaccine that prevents another outbreak. It might not help out with the current outbreak but it could prevent a future one, so that's a real plus in my book."Mr Hubbard, 35, is one of 20 people. Continue.

The enclave of Ijora Badia in Apapa-Iganmu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State is a constellation of absurdity. It is indeed a melange of miscreants, roughnecks, gangsters, fraudsters and prostitutes. It is an enclave situated along the railway line that runs from Ijora to Iddo. The environment is filthy with euglena infested brackish lagoon, which harbours dangerous reptiles and breeds mosquitoes in millions. From Ijora bus-stop, a macadamized road that links the bus-stop with Ijora Badia railway line community gives a wrong impression of where it leads to.
On both sides of the link road are shops that display different wares ranging from electronic equipment to clothes, shoes, bags, among other articles of trade. But the end of the link road exposes one to the railway line habitat, which bubbles with a plethora of indecent and unspeakable activities. By the swampy side of the railway are clusters of large wooden cabin suspended up to six feet atop the brackish lagoon. There are several of such accommodation housing half-dressed, haggard, dishevelled, fierce-looking women of all sizes, shapes and ages. In fact, one could rightly say the cabins are brothels on the lagoon.

By 12 noon when this reporter visited the enclave, some of the women, especially the older ones appear worn-out with bulging, sleepy, red eyes, an indication that they must have had a busy night, perhaps also, it’s an indication that business is booming. Even as they intermittently shut their eyes and nod their heads involuntarily as they fight against the sleep trying to envelope them, reliable sources swore they were still ‘ready for action if a customer calls’. For the younger women, most of whom appeared tattered and unkempt, they sat in clusters with their navels on display, as well as their breasts shooting out like balloons.

Although, the sight of those riotous stretch-marked breasts may appear repulsive to any reasonable man, the male folks in the community, who appeared morally depraved and seemed no less better, found such commodity very luscious, salacious and sexually arousing. They also wore skimpy tight skirts and shorts that exposed their thighs up to their pubic region, but like the breasts, such exposures were also very repugnant. This is because instead of robust and succulent thighs that would spark a riotous blood through the sexual veins of any healthy man, who would be anxious to see what is hidden beyond the thighs, what was exposed were coarse, rough, stretch-marked and mosquito bite-infested thighs.
The women in this breast terror, navel and thigh exposure business lined up on the railway line. Both young and old women found breast-pumping the new fad. From investigation, it appeared that any lady that failed to expose her breast in very tempting manner could is seen as a deviant. Checks revealed that in Lagos State, the neighbourhood has the highest number of brothels where deviant teenagers, who ran away from their parents’ homes, find solace. The constellation of these young ladies, who have sold their souls to sex, attracts criminals in the neighbourhood. They are belligerent, testy, violent and can do anything, including stripping themselves naked to vent their anger.

It shouldn’t be surprising that alcohol and fertility don’t mix. As a young man, the more alcohol you drink, the lower your sperm count and the poorer your sperm quality are likely to be. Excessive alcohol intake is generally bad for health, particularly reproductive health.

Alcoholism is one lifestyle factor every man that is trying to father a child needs to be wary of. Several studies have shown that men who drink the most alcohol have the lowest sperm counts.

One study found that a significant effect was felt in men drinking as little as five units a week. A unit was defined as a single beer, a glass of wine or about the equivalent of a shot glass of liquor.
In the study published in The Journal BMJ Open, adjustments were made for
possible factors like diet, smoking, weight, etc., which did not explain the association. The research involved more than 1,200 Danish men undergoing a required medical examination to determine whether they were fit for military service.

The men were aged 18-28. They filled out questionnaires about their drinking, provided a semen sample and had their blood drawn.
Sperm concentration, total sperm count and percentage of normal sperm were all poorer among men having at least five drinks a week, compared to those drinking just one drink weekly. The amount of testosterone measured in the men’s blood, however, increased as their alcohol intake increased.
From the study, it was discovered that the drop in sperm count and quality became particularly significant among men indulging in at least 25 drinks a week. Men drinking 40
or more drinks a week had a 33 percent lower sperm concentration than those consuming one to five drinks a week.
Being intoxicated can lead to changes in hormones and other chemicals in the body, including cortisol, glucose, insulin and male hormones, all of which would affect sperm quality, and, poor sperm quality can affect fertility.
