u can call me broke, and i guess u r right i consider myself broke (i only earn an average of 913,127 naira per month) ![]() |
mediocrity soothes some but not me. i'd rather nigerians are doing better than they currently are, a nigerian bilionaire is only as rich as a british millionaire where are the trillionaires ![]() |
yes i know it is not a rule that u should start from scratch, but then where are those that started from scratch ![]() But read about Bill Gates, Richard Branson, Walton and Carnegie and then us can talk about whether or not it is rule to start from scratch |
Just say something, anything, let's see how far we will go!!! ![]() |
i found something else to do!!! |
Seun:Anyone else ![]() |
Seun:well that is where i come in. i help small businesses to see the opportunities and to maximise them. there are not many consultants in the forbes 100 rich list, are they? i might never be as rich as adenuga or dangote but it will be my heartfelt joy to see my clients grow to be bigger than they are!Really, Seun - I appreciate what u have done and i think there is a very big market in Nigeria, particularly the cybermarket. it is bigger than we can imagine. i might not say it all on a forum but if ever i get the opportunity to speak with u or anyone interested one-on-one, i'll let u in a few ideas that i think u can work on. I can't be in that field because i don't have the expertise but believe me i have amazing stats, ![]() |
@Seun, with all fairness to you and all that u might have achieved, i think there is a seriuos lack of enterpreneural excellence in Nigeria. i'm not one to settle for average when the best is attainable. i think nigerian businesses are built on the foundation of just making money, but history has shown us that the only to be the best is to have a goal that is above jsut money!!! Kudos to Adenuga and Dangote. The truth though is that Nigerian Businesses are not doing as well as they should. Come to think of it, how many Nigerian billionaires have built their own empires from scratch Adenuga ___ Babangida Dangote ___ Babangida I stand to be corrected |
i just sooo bored, yahoo id: ore_atata just today only |
sexsexsex, how did u know it is fake, did u try it ![]() |
i just sooo bored, yahoo id: ore_atata just today only |
i don't think dangote and adenuga have what it takes yet. with the population of nigeria, i think it's only fitting that there is a nigerian enterpreneur (based in Nigeria) in the forbes top 200. unfortunately, there is none!!! |
rather worrying who controls the Oil sector, i think Niger Deltans should invest time and energy in empowering themselves. take a cue from indians in the Uk, they drive the best cars, live in the best houses etc WHY because they learn to pull their resourcesDon't sit on ur bum and say this tribe has this or has that - get up, get out and do something!!! |
What Do You Think The Future Will Be Like for Nigerian-owned Business? Virgin Atlantic - Richard Branson (UK) Apple - Steve Jobs (USA) Sun City - Sol Kerzner (South Africa) Permit me to say Dangote ( but then he lacks the international impact) These are men who have made international impact from home grown businesses. it just makes me wonder what the future is for nigerian businesses, b'because the trend now is that these men who have made impact in the UK, USA, South Africa are the same men who are trying to break into the Nigerian market aggressively. Consider the fact that the National carrier is Virgin Nigeria, why didn't the govt. consider the option of talking to Nigerian business entrepreneurs to dive into that sector. with due respect to Branson and his achievements, i think giving Bellview a chance to be the nation carrier would have been better for the aviation sector on the long run, p.s - I was on the maiden VN flight to London from lagos and my observation was "British Airline, Nigerian name" |
this will also open up the real estate sector, as land titles can now belong to individuals without the fear of government encroachment, as with Maroko. The only thing that should be considered though is that land titles have not yet been regularised!!! But it's a gleamer of hope. |
i was looking thru the core competencies for various organisations and things like "teamwork, team play, blahblah" jumped out at me and i was wondering if those attributes are imbibed in the lower class of the society where the theme is "Me first". I think nigeria business need to evolve HR that is relevant to the society and not "download" hr from the west!!! |
There were indications yesterday that the Presi-dent-elect, Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar'Adua may inaugurate the next session of the National Assembly with an executive bill, which seeks to amend and reform the Land Use Act. THISDAY gathered that already a special committee has been set up by the President-elect to amend the existing Land Use Act. According to a source, the Land Use Act Reform Bill would be the first executive bill from Yar’Adua, in the same way that President Olusegun Obasanjo sent in his first bill on the Niger Delta, which gave rise to the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). The source explained further that the land Use Act Reform Bill would alter drastically the existing act to ensure that the peasant apart from using the land as collateral, also have claims to their land. “The President-elect is planning to ensure that the peasants have access to land and that they could use their lands as collateral to collect money in the banks,” the source said. What do u think? I think it is the best bill i've heard of in recent times!!! |
Do u know any certified Six sigma black belt in nigeria. If you're interested in getting the certification in Nigeria, contact me. Human Development Resource Centre. |
I personally feel that Nigerians are left without any credible candidate for the general elections. Of the three frontrunners, who would you vote for as president ![]() My vote goes to Atiku. You? |
With a fast-growing market, it could be a good time to look into the potential of 3G and certainly the Nigerian Communications Commission seems to feel that way. It held a consultation with the country’s operators recently to discuss the allocation of 40MHz of FDD spectrum - and relevant TDD-spectrum pairings - for the deployment of 3G services in April. A spectrum tender is likely to follow in mid-2007. This opens up a big investment haven in Nigeria. Telecomms business, anyone? |
I was thinking recently and i realised that you don't have to go to a university to get a degree or a certificate. Here's my list of professinal exams: 1. ACCA 2. Cisco 3. Oracle 9i, 10g 4. SHRM 5. Security+ 6. Project Management 7. , i'll think of more |

i might never be as rich as adenuga or dangote but it will be my heartfelt joy to see my clients grow to be bigger than they are!
