aysometin:
Hello Rebirth,

I really wish i was in Nigeria now, I would have atteneded the classes immediatley!!
I am about to do the certifications and I intend to do it all at once. (Foundation and Practitioner)

I have 2 options:

1) go to reed learning for 5 days (training and exams inclusive) at a cost of £1,899 ( almost N250k)
2) or buy the books, study on my own and pay for the exams at a cost of £ 648.50 all together.

My question: Do you honestly think I can just read the books and pass or should I just sacrifice and go for the full training.

My mind is saying I should go for the training but ofcourse I need ways to save cost.

If you know any one that can be of help in the UK, you can please send me a message on justmagnets@gmail.com
I hope you find my email useful

Certification And Training AdvertsRe: Be a PRINCE2 Practitioner by April Fools' Day!!! by Rebirth(op): 3:27pm On Mar 06, 2009
i would advise that you space them unless of course you can afford to do both at the same time (the exams fees together should cost about 100k)
Certification And Training AdvertsRe: Be a PRINCE2 Practitioner by April Fools' Day!!! by Rebirth(op): 11:47am On Mar 04, 2009
@ Selik
The fees charged by most companies is mostly training cost that is why the fee is usually about 350-360K.
What we have done is to reduce the cost of the training significantly so that you have enough knowledge of the methodology to write the exam and pass it.
I have sent the details to your email.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Any Hope 4 3rd Classers by Rebirth(m): 9:49am On Nov 08, 2008
i think  a wise 3rd classer (as you have christened it) will not try to get entry level jobs as mtn, zenith, or any other blue chip company. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE. i would advise that
1. you identify a career path
2. get all the qualifications and certifications that will make you employable to the Blue chips
3. apply to small organisations (they paid less and may be glad to have you or at least give you a chance - low pay but you don't have much of a choice)
4. distinguish yourself, be involved, solve problems, have the right attitude, dress well.
5. with necessary work experience (that you can only from doing the work of ten people because the CEO can pay for 9 more people), apply to the blue chips.
6. it will take longer but it should work out fine

how do i knowhuh
I FINISHED WITH A THIRD CLASS AFTER TWO EXTRA YEARS (technically, i spent about 10 years in uni.)
but now i don't think i am doing too badly. i have a good job with very good benefits.

and remember you are not in competition with anyone but yourself

GOOD LUCK

BusinessRe: Starting A Waste Management And Recycling Plant by Rebirth(m): 11:15am On Jul 28, 2008
I did my final year project on Production of Fertilizers (Commercially) from Municipal Wastre. Waste management in nigeria had an intrinsic problem of sorting the polythene from the waste.
Shredding--->Jigging--->Magnetic seperation---->Vibration----->then composting

the only problem is the polythene, which is also very useful commercially if recycled (another expensive process) cannot be removed without decantation - that is filling the feed with water and like with garri, clearing the floating polythene. This because will not aid composting because it is almost indestructible. Non-bio-degradable complex ethylene.

Here is the downside -  water doesn't here composting.

I offer my advise for free wink
PoliticsRe: Yoruba Emulate Kosovo - Want Out Of Nigeria by Rebirth(m): 11:29pm On Feb 21, 2008
Crownvilla:
If Nigeria splits into 3, 4, or 15 fiefdoms it will not make any difference unless the real issue of "corruption" is dealt with.

For instance, who will be the president of OODUA? Take your pick from OBJ, Bode George, Fayose, Oyinlola, Agagu. Tafa Balogun, Ehindero, Akala, Adedibu, Akinjide, Saraki (jr and snr), Tinubu, Olurin, and the beat goes on. It is very likely that the leader will come from that nasty lot or one of their imposed lackey boys.

I'm not sure if Oodua Investment company (wholly owned by Yoruba states) has made a decent profit in years. Ditto the Gateway Hotels. Catch my drift?
I am laffing and rolling on the floor, ,

CultureRe: Facts To Prove That Ibos Originate From Egypt? by Rebirth(op): 9:51pm On Feb 12, 2008
davidif:
I can't believe people here are so naive to believe this myth because of what they read on the internet or some hoax that was passed down from there parents. There is absolutely no evidence at all besides for some conspiracy theorists running around spreading rumors in a poor region where everybody is willing to hold on to something. This myth that igbos are jews is just what Ojukwu propagated during the civil war to create a siege mentality among the igbos (us against them mentality) to rally them for war and to justify secession (treason) as being noble and just. Igbos are Nigerians like everyone else, let me be the first to say it I AM NIGERIAN AND WELL PROUD OF IT. When i was in primary school in naija, they said that hausas originated from somewhere, they also said that yorubas migrated from saudi arabia, which was just a folklore so my good friends don't go around looking like fools abeg, y'all nigerians like everybody else.
That is the issue with nigeria; people are either afraid or ashamed of their origins. rather than look into the past in search of the realities of their past, they hide under the pretext/pretence of "we are okay where we are", if we never understand the past, the future of our cultures is at risk, never wondered why the Igbo language is the fastest fading of the three major languages of nigeria Every other word in a sentence has english in it. i am a linguist so i understand the intricacies which you may not!
