my dream was that immediately I came over, i and my dependant will search for jobs.. work and pay bill. but that is not feasible as I am seeing it.

i started this process with 15 million naira then when naira nose dive i had to borrowed extra 15 million to top it with interest of almost 2 million naira. landed in uk, started seeing the reality on ground

i have been in UK since 1 month plus. but getting a job as a migrant or new commer without UK experience is not easy.
in fact i have sent over 200 job application for cleaner, care assistant etc but all came with a sorry we have moved on to the next stage or you don't have uk experience.

school fees has to be paid. everyone here in tight corner... school has sent mail threatening to report to the immigration if school fees is not paid in the next few weeks to most Nigerians here.

no job, house rent is expensive.. going for 450 to 600 pounds per month.

travelling through student route is not really easy because you have to balance between work and school.. 'even at that where is the job as a new migrant.

Please if you are considering coming to UK for now.. please put on hold. the crowd from Indians, Pakistani, Malaysia, china etc is overwhelming.

it's not worth selling your home to be here.

i sleep in indeed and all this job site.. still yet nothing, bills mounting up.

all my colleague i came with are still with no jobs in other cities

after spending 13 million coming here with extra 3k dollars now almost exhausted chai


if u know you don't have full school fees, house rent for 12 months, upkeep.... running to 35m to 40m please stay back... stay back or apply through skill route.

I have not ad l had the kind of money and properties you had before you initiated japa. But if should have 5M to 10M self I would have initiated the Japa thing.
I read the useless comments of the so called WISEones that criticised your decision to move with the limited (so much by the way) resources you had.
Now you are a success story.
You are good. You were candid despite knowing that many wouldn't appreciate your candid narrative.
You are the kind I would need for advice in the future
I am yet to finish the initial pages of the JAPA story but will definitely.
The truths got from so far are:
1) agents tell lots of lies on job availability just to make you party work your with money as their commission.
2) If last year you involved 32M, then I should aim at having more this year.
3) it's worth the while having paid your dues in the UK.
I guess you are a family man may God Bless your wife's Support and may she remain strong for you and the future of both of you.

But I think his song release is just a coincidence that should not be treated as a deliberate attempt to disrespect the late "Junior Pope". You can suspend your business just to chase clout without sincerely mourning the dead. You can sincerely mourn the dead without suspending your business. You can suspend your business and sincerely mourn the dead. The sincerity of mourning does not depend on suspension of business. Salutation is not love. Separate business from sentiment. Access Bank didn't go on holiday for even an hour to mourn Herbert Wigwe. If Junior Pope owned SoundCloud, would SoundCloud have gone down for a while because of his death?

Check the difference between Davido and Junior Pope. Davido is a musician, pope was an actor. Davido is a Yoruba with no family connection with Junior Pope who is an Igbo. Junior Pope was not like Cubana Chief Priest and Zubby Michael to Davido.

So, on what ground do you blame Davido? Junior Pope was not a kinsman, tribesman, friend or fellow musician to Davido. Even in Junior Pope's village, people didn't suspend their daily hustles. So, why is a song release by Davido an offense in this case? Did Davido purposely release the song in reaction to the death of Junior Pope? Is the song a diss to Junior Pope?

The same wrong mentality being used to condemn the boreholes Obi donated in the North is exactly what is being used against Davido here. That is the same wrong mentality being used to overhype the same Davido in many entertainment areas. It shows that a larger population of the society bases its judgements on sentiment and emotions, not on facts. I don't mean that Davido should not sympathise with the family of Junior Pope. Davido can postpone the release of his song without being sympathetic about the death of Junior Pope. Davido can release his song and at the same time sincerely sympathize with the family of Junior Pope. If Davido didn't or hasn't sympathised with the family of Junior Pope, attack Davido for that. But don't mix things up unnecessarily.

I hope they will cite the 2015 case as evidence of his possible influence over "the judiciary ".
