The issue you have in your analysis is that you seem to neglect the fact that Nigeria's current President is wasteful! The amount of money Tinubu has wasted in the name of governance and via corrupt practices like contract inflation, not following due process in awarding critical contracts like the coastal highway, and much more, is enough to take cut down our borrowing by at least 40%.


If Peter Obi emerges President, he will cut down cost so much that it will shock Nigerians! Obi will block so many waste pipes making Nigeria to borrow endlessly and you will see that Nigeria can make do with what we have.


The money being wasted by Tinubu's regime is enormous, and you seem to neglect this fact!

I seriously need help and a bit of advice right now. I've been a silent and observant Nairalander for a long time now.

My marriage is barely 6 months old. Got married to the girl of my dreams. I honestly didn't envisage marriage at this stage of my life but it happened because my wife sacrificed a lot for me, and for us to be living as man and wife.

I really love my wife so much, during our courtship, i flirted with girls online which at some point she caught me, and forgave me. But i still didn't learn my lesson, subsequently, this bad habit of mine of flirting with random girls online continued, even despite her catching me again, she still kept on trusting and forgiving me. Now we are married and still, I'm still in the habit of texting and flirting with random girls.

The one that broke her was this particular lady i was flirting with online, she caught feelings for me and even went as far as posting my Pictures with hers on her tiktok page, my wife saw it online and confronted me. I begged her for forgiveness and was trying to reassure her that it was just an online flirting.. She believed me again and trusted me one more time, but now this girl i flirted with online saw my marraige pictures online (ofcos i told her i was single), and now she'has messaged my wife via Facebook and exposed our chat of us flirting to her.

My wife called me from my office and confronted me of the chat (esp the part i told her i was not married). My wife has been crying ever since and i honestly don't know what to do.

I've begged her, but she's having none of it again. Please i love my wife so much and she's currently pregnant.

I'm ashamed of myself and devasted too. I really need all the encouragement and advice right now.

I’ve come to realize that Average and poor Nigerians are the ones making life so difficult for themselves.

No be every poor man you see for road them dey pity or help becus if you check well, na him put himself for that condition intentionally.

God know say if Tinubu is re-elected next year, I will never help any poor Nigerians even if you are at the point of death… na why I dey double my hustle becus next 4 years go rough if Tinubu wins.

The Ministry of Power of the Federal Government and the Lagos State Government have established joint committees to drive efforts to achieve 24-hour electricity supply in Lagos.

The decision was reached Monday at a Ministerial Implementation Retreat on the Clean Lagos Electricity Market held at Lagos House, Marina.

Minister of Power Joseph Tegbe said Lagos was chosen as the pilot because it accounts for between 40% and 50% of Nigeria’s electricity demand.

“We came with pragmatic solutions.

"Some of them are going to take action immediately [for] quick wins,” Tegbe said.

He added that Nigerians should begin to see “some differences in the Lagos axis” in power supply.

A Joint Technical Working Committee was established to address technical, regulatory and operational challenges affecting electricity supply.

It includes representatives of the Transmission Company of Nigeria, Rural Electrification Agency, Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, Federal Ministry of Power, Lagos Independent System Operator and Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission.

A separate Steering Committee will supervise the implementation.

Lagos Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu will chair the committee, while Tegbe will serve as co-chairman.

Sanwo-Olu described the retreat as “very frank,” saying officials had identified “low-hanging fruits” that could bring visible improvements to electricity consumers.

The initiative is part of the Federal Government’s proposed 24/7 Energy Zones pilot, which will begin in Lagos before extending to the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano and Enugu-Port Harcourt corridors.

The ministry said the plan is designed to improve generation, transmission and distribution while ensuring that more electricity reaches homes, businesses and industries.

Lagos has also been developing its own electricity market under the Lagos State Electricity Law 2024, with efforts to increase local generation and reduce dependence on the national grid.
