Lesson: I go back to set and forget entries with calculated sl and if necessary tp. Missed profits elsewhere and racked up losses fighting a really really powerful trend...

I didn't wait long enough nor entered very limited times; sorry . But which fundamentals happened to euro again today that was so bad??

Are you chasing price or waiting for price to come to you? Are you taking losses and keep entering hoping the price will turn around?
Remember you've got only 1 shot? and no chasing price around?

Possible ASIA buy trades on EN and EA , good for 40-80pips.
Perfect entry will be false sell and a bull candle for entry. Low risk trade.

Save this this chart. I'll call out asia trades when I see them (when I'm feeling generous)... This chart is go to example for those trades.

GbpJpy what to and what not to. Check other charts, if you see coiling like this, don't fall for it, they will be trapping both buyers and sellers.
Wait for the price to show it true direction before jumping in.

You see, that's why I tell people here, don't let any guru take you away from here to some silly groups (Telegram , whatsapp or whatever), because you are close to getting scammed and nothing you can do about it.

If anyone asked you to invest money, ask for track record from third party, 3-6months record minimum. Then invest with only what you could afford to lose, don't go sell your house and other properties to invest in forex. INVEST WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE.

I'm not trying to be devil's advocate, you should give 'em minimum 3 month test, 1 month is never enough, because if and when they go live after 1 month, the chances are too high to succeed. Harsh but the truth.

I went to play footy with friends yesterday, it's been like 14month I touch ball last. I missed all those beautiful trades on GBP, would have helped me grow my account a little.

I just use this to help me speed up things with my thought process.

Indicators don’t tell me where to buy or sell. I usually know I’m looking for buy or sell in a particular area, before I even start to look at the indicator.

I just use band indicator to time my entry (If and when I want to enter counter-trend trade), so I could get in on area of brick-wall where price will do a very quick bounce or possible reversal.

I'll stay put if I see counter-trend trade in an area that I don't want.

The band settings will depend on ADR of the said currency. AudUsd that is a slow pair will have different settings compare to GbpJpy.

Anybody looking at the USDCHF 1hr chart? this is what aI call grinding PA, if you are not in short already, better leave it alone and don't touch it. They are trapping buyers and keep grinding and moving downward slowly. They will frustrate all buyers, take their SL, not until after inflicting maximum pains before the sharp reversal will occur.

People lose money because they don't realize nor have a concept of how dangerous Forex is. The mentality is whenever they blow their account, they can simply re-fund, another day and a fresh new start.

This mentality is not acceptable if you want to become a Professional trader. If you keep this philosophy, you will never make any money in Forex and you will surely lose all the time.

Without any concept of the dangers, you are like a 5 year old child trying to cross a four-lane highway. Would you cross a road without every stopping first and then looking left and right to check for oncoming traffic? Would you cross a road with a blindfold?... So why would you trade blindly?

Knowing when to trade and when not to trade is very crucial to your survival. You can't trade whenever you feel like it. The market must have the right conditions before you can trade.

Trading without knowing the market condition is like setting out to sea during a violent storm. It is like flying a plane without doing your pre-flight checklist. Forex is a dangerous environment without the concept, the knowledge and experience of the dangers that lies ahead.

Realize that Forex is a very dangerous place and you cannot survive this place if you are unaware and clueless of the dangers. As with life, safety is a very important issue. Safety is your first priority.

Trading requires 2 things:

Psychology/discipline (mental training, emotional quotient)
A proven system/method or strategy (Entries, exits, money management)

Get involve, post your chart, not just glance through charts, set up a demo account, put in the trade. This particular method is set and forgot, you don't need a lot of time. 20mins a day to set your orders.

You are here but don't have system , lurking around. Why rely on some to give you alert here. There's a lot system here, pick one and generate alert yourself.

You have regular 9-5 job, you don't have time to look at chart.

This is good for you. It won't take more than 20-30mins of your day, set and forget trades.

R:R (risk : reward) must be minimum 1:2 or 1:3.

Very simple to follow, timeframe to trade on 4hrs and daily.

Boss I think you are right. Maybe my comment was maybe impulsive. I entered gbpchf at the top Tuesday or Wednesday when it dropped massively but I totally missing out on the drop because I set breakeven too quickly when it was ranging after the first drop at the start of the day. The brief rally just took me out before the eventual big move down. Great inefficiency there.

Also today I was a part of the first big drop in the morning. By the end account was at around 20-30% increase for week and I did get out near the bottom before the rally again. After that I kept re-entering at meaningless points expecting the drop to resume quickly (terrible judgement entirely removed from my methods). That's where I screwed up not just today but many times this week. The 'gamble' itself that was one of the final trades today was GJ sell.

There were many other inefficiencies this week; like reversals at points where I knew price could reverse on me, but just hoped it would [/b]pass and reach my tp. Price ends up reversing there. Other times the exact opposite happens. I do use split trades but there are so many levels so this area can never be an exact science.

Bottom line is entry is not my problem, since I have done my homework there . I just [b]need to improve discipline and trade management...

Finally my system finally started picking up gbp pairs en-mass around mid-week when most of the big dips had happened. I am continuously tweaking stuff because of the way I trade. Lines or parameters can be changed and the results can be slightly or very different.

I am still expecting, specifically GU, GJ and gbpchf to drop some real distance soon and was hoping to get in yesterday or today. As it is I may still get in today if...

Now that you identify some of your weakness , it's time to work on it.

My week was very very simple, I didn't chase any market at all. They all came to me, no anxiousness whatsoever. Missed some GBP because I was waiting for them to rise a little more before selling them. They fell before reaching my area to enter sell. I could care less, I'm not chasing nada .

Learned a lot like fear which I didn't experience while trading demo.

Yes fear and greed some of the strong emotions you don't get on your demo will show up on live trading. The thing is to trade as small lot size to help you manage that emotion.

Let me ask you, when you were trading your demo, how was it? did you double your account like 4 times? before going live?

For others, if you can trade demo successfully , say double your account like 4x. YOU STAND NO CHANCE MAKING ANY PROFIT on live trading.
If you can't cut it on demo, you are never going to make it in real account. This is no joke guys.

I don't trade A/U because it to slow and very tiny ADR. I rather enter trade that will go against OR for me instead going no where. That being said, I think it will go into ranging soon, moved close to it daily ADR already.

When you are on demo, I thought you said it yourself. Only 2 trade running at a time, no more than that, to put on any other trade, one of the 2 previous trades should be set to breakeven.

So you went from only 2 entries to a whole SOLID 4 trades. Hope next time, you won't be reckless.

Might all sound harsh but you need harsh right now. This is me kicking you and I know YOU can do better and I expect nothing less from you.

That's why I call it low risk high reward, you will get in with tight SL. Problem is it's asian session when a lot of people are sleeping and can't trade. There's a setup every week.

Boss, beside forexfactory, which other reliable platform can one get news that speculate more on news that will move the market. Because looking at forexfactory i couldn't see any indication that there will be Brexit news this week.

Few other site, even some do live cast and speculation. I use FF tho and from there you can see brexit on Tuesday, that alone tells you that it's brexit week, and expect some crazy manipulation. Same happen Jan and all other week we have brexit news.
