1) Many clubs prioritize league play over FA Cup. The money clubs get from playing FA Cup is much smaller compared to league revenue ... EPL >> FA Cup
2) League play is balanced. You play every other team twice (home & away). FA Cup is a competition, you only play a sub-set of teams.

There were so many wrong decisions by the refree. That wasn't a red card at all. Martinez was outside the box when he touched the ball, he should've been sent off. At the very end pedro was fouled at the edge of the box and a last minute free kick could've been awarded. I don't take anything away from arsenal they played well.

I agree, the referee had a bad game but let us be honest, our Chelsea had a worse game from 20 minutes onwards in that game. They were simply overpowered. Let's take the L, move on and look forward to next season.
