DIARY OF UNIBEN CLEARANCE
It was now the following day of which I concluded that I was not smart enough the previous day else I would have been cleared. I got to the hall at around past six in the morning.
This time I was on the second row. My hope was actually lifted high up. An instinct of mine actually told me I have false hope.
Our clearance officers among all others came last. Some hours after they were cleared, the 'red cross guys' as they were normally called came to pick the first three to be cleared. After those fellows have been taken away, my hope was further listed up. At about 1:10PM, which is about two hours since the first sect of people have been taken, drastically my high hopes became as low as they can ever be.
I decided that instead of waiting for something that is not coming, I will go to the bursary department in order to collect my receipt. I went there and I met about a few of engineering guys as we wait to get our turn to enter room 44.
I met one of my faculty mate who behaves in a 'hobbledehoynous' manner. At every stupid and non-funny statement he makes, I just laugh because if not, he might probably make a joke of me. It did not take me too long for it to be my turn.
I collected pen from a guy who is next in turn after me, I went in. I was given my receipt and at the same time ordered to tell the next person to wait until after he, the one who gave me the receipt, is through eating.
I went back to the auditorium with a fulfilled mind. I had to stay for hours without being cleared. A friend of mine, how lucky he is, was cleared on that very day. I became so angry at him as if he is responsible for my frustration. I almost punched him, but on remembering the 'Affidavit of Good conduct' I resigned to fate. I went back to the hostel devastatingly devastated.
Later in the day, some evangelist came to my room to preach, they were without a Bible. One of 'em came to tell me, prophecy to me as he would say, that I should beware of girls in my 300L. This got me bizarre, had this guy knew I was a celibate they wouldn't have said what they said. Moreover, it is an advice to any 100L student to beware of vices in the school especially 300L; but the best Adviser is their 'first semester result'. They talked, prophesied, talked and prophesied. They left with a promise of coming back for me in particular after a friend of mine revealed to them about my stance on celibacy.

DIARY OF UNIBEN CLEARANCE EXERCISE
It was indeed a joy for me after finishing with my online clearance for the University of Benin. My time was scheduled for Thursday 22nd of october,2015; it was also a day for the inaugural lecture which is to be held in the Akin Deko auditorium.
I am admitted into the Varsity to study Mechanical Engineering. 'Cos of the past story of clearance 'wahala' such as the Uniben stampede,i got to the auditorium at around past seven in the morning. We were told to pay for our record file before we can be cleared. This order actually had my hopes up, I rushed to first bank with a burrowed #1000. I later got to know Record file is for #3000. I had to ask from all the guys I see though knowing they wouldn't give me.
I later met a guy who once sold me scratch card, he borrowed me the remaining #2000 out of faint hope of getting his money back.
I paid for the file and then made to proceed to the bursary department to make for the receipt. I saw some of my friends who told me that we have been redirected to our faculty. I had to leave my initial purpose in pursuit of the new one.
We got to the faculty and proceeded to a hall where other Engineering guys have occupied. Clearance started some hours later. I was on the second row though I could have been in the first. I thought I would be cleared but later got what I never bargained for.
On the first row, about six people have been attended to. Others of about seven in number were called from among the clearance mammoth to be cleared; we call that connection. It continued and I wasn't cleared.
We were made to write out name of a list. I was numbered 3rd on the list; this gave me infinite hope. I 'jestered' my other friends who were probably numbered around 30.
Now it is time for the officer to allocate date according to the list, he surprisingly started the giving of nearer date from behind. I who was numbered 3rd was told to come a week time, some guys who were around number 50 on the list were told to come the following day. This actually incensed and frustrated me. Before hand, I had prayed that everyone will comply with whatever date He/she is probably given. But on awareness of this incident, I resigned to disobedience thereby going against my former prayer. 'The list will not work', that's what we concluded.

Frustration is now a meal for all engineering student who wants to be cleared.

People like me are so much adapted to beating provided it is not meant for goats and criminals which I'm not albeit it is enough to punish me. But depriving me of what I want is a greater punishment.
Guys, there are whole lot of ways to discipline children. Deprive an AJEBO from watching TV for some weeks, I promise you he will change.
Deprive an AJEPAKO of his meal, and beat stealing out of him In case he stole any food outside.

Later some people will be accusing Engineering students for not being creative. Even if they are, no one is there to encourage them.
Am sure this person has no degree, but because he doesn't come from the Dangote family or the Adenuga family, he is not fit to be patronised.

A school where those that don't go for lectures perform better in exams than those who do
A school where engineering student cram and cram like MCBites and after graduating they will tell you they are engineer just because they can dy/dx
