DJ Moh arrested after mistakenly flashing a gun while partying .The Kenyan Police have arrested Nicholas Mugo Mwangi aka DJ Moh for public display of firearm.

The deejay was attending a fellow DJ, Kym Nickdee’s birthday party at K1 Klub House, on Tuesday, when his picture was taken. A close look at the picture reveals that he had a gun tucked in his jean.

According to the DCI, DJ Moh was apprehended at Space Lounge where a Steyr Pistol and 174 rounds of ammunition were seized.

Oluwakemi Omolewa, widow of slain resident pastor of Living Faith Church, Kaduna, has been freed by her captors, according to a report by TheCabe on Friday.

Last Sunday, bandits attacked the Omolewas along Kaduna-Abuja road, killing Jeremiah, the husband of the abducted woman.

Joseph Hayab, Kaduna state chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), confirmed her release.

He said Oluwakemi, who is a deaconess in the church, was freed on Thursday night after a ransom was paid.

While lamenting the high rate of kidnappings in Kaduna, he said in the past four years, the church in the state has paid over N300 million as ransom to kidnappers while over 500 Christians have been abducted within the same period.

He said more than 20 churches, especially, those located in communities along Kaduna-Abuja road have been closed as people living in those area have since relocated owing to the activities of kidnappers.

“In the past four years, Christians in Kaduna state have suffered a lot. Generally, people in Kaduna state have suffered a lot in paying kidnappers ransom to ensure the release of either their family member or church member or neighbour or someone they know,’’ he said.

“It is sad to know that the church alone, from our statistics -ECWA Church, Baptist Church, Anglican Church, Catholic Church and many other Churches in Kaduna whose members have been kidnapped, have had to coughed out between N200,000 to N8 million to kidnappers to secure their release. In the last four years, the church in Kaduna has paid over N300 million to kidnappers.’’

He said the most embarrassing of such payment of ransoms is that of a pastor of Friendship Church Kudenda, a suburb of Kaduna which the kidnappers insisted that the N600,000 ransom they agreed to collect after negotiation, must be accompanied with cigarettes worth N10,000.

He said in Kachia, a reverend father was abducted and a ransom of N1.5 million was paid but that he has not been released since three months, “an indication that he might have been killed”.

“In many of our villages along Abuja road, people have abandoned their homes and relocated to places like Buwaya, Gonin- Gora, Romi and other suburbs around Kaduna metropolis as a result of activities of kidnappers,’’ he said.

“These are farmers, they don’t have any work, they keep coming around looking for assistance from us to pay rent and buy food. They are really suffering because no effort is being made to tame or put kidnapping activities in Kaduna state in check.

“Sadly, when we raised alarmed that our people are being kidnapped, someone, instead of apologising to us and tell us that they have not done well, let’s work together to do well, they will go and sponsor some faceless young boys who are jobless and give them money to insult us.

“The recent alarm I raised about the killing of the late Omolewa and the abduction of his wife last Sunday, the next thing I saw (on Facebook), was a write up and a caricature of myself that I was speaking for PDP. And I asked this question; are those Christians kidnapped, PDP members?

“Let’s not politicise issues that affect people’s lives. I don’t have PDP card, but even if I have, is that a crime in Nigeria?

‘’Even the APC in Kaduna state, when they wanted to be governor, they wrote me a letter seeking for my blessing and they know that we supported the governor to be elected during his first term. Should I be accused of being PDP member, just because I told them that something is wrong?

“That will not deter the church from speaking out the truth. If this money we have been paying to kidnappers were to be channelled, we would have helped government in solving some of the problems in the educational and health sectors by investing in those sectors.

“Sadly, today they are allowing evil people to impoverish us. What is politics in me telling you that my people are suffering and dying? What is politics in telling you that these kidnappers should be arrested?

“They are spending our money on our security but we are still suffering…They are now talking about blackmailing us, we will call the church to take action to stop this evil. We will not continue to have our people being abducted and killed. Our people cannot continue to live in fear, even in their homes.

“Three weeks ago, kidnappers went to Marraban Rido, broke into three houses and abducted three women. I can go on and on to tell you incidences of people being frequently kidnapped and we keep on looking for money to pay the kidnappers…

“We don’t collect our offerings to give kidnappers, our offerings is supposed to be used for evangelism and catering for the needy. Now the money we are supposed to use for evangelism so that evil in the society would be reduced is being spent on paying ransom to kidnappers.

“It has come to a stage that we will not allow this to continue anymore because we have cried enough and no action is being taken and we are even being accused for crying out.

“There cannot be peace when there is no justice, the kind of peace I preach is not the peace of compromise, it is not the peace of lies, and it is not the peace of cheating. It is a peace where you must respect your neighbour, your neighbour respects you and the two of you respects each other…

“Even the United Nations that talks about peace will not allow evil to go around the world. So blackmailing us will not stop us from crying that our people are being kidnapped and they are suffering and nothing is being done.

“Blackmail and character assassination, just to cover up for your inability to secure us, will not address the problem.”

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah doesn’t just have a good left-foot, he’s got a good heart too.

The Egypt international proved this much with his donation of $3million to the National Cancer Institute in Cairo after a suspected terrorist incident killed 20 people.

Another 47 people were injured during the explosion in the Egyptian capital on Sunday evening, when a car drove at high speed in the wrong direction and crashed into three others outside the hospital.

In the immediate aftermath of the incident, Liverpool star Salah posted a message on Twitter that said: “My full support and condolences to the families of victims and victims of the explosion of the Oncology Institute.”

Salah didn’t stop with only the condolence message, reports in Egypt have stated that he has made a considerable donation to help rebuild the institute, which was damaged in the explosion.


As reported by Egyptian news outlet Youm7, Cairo University President Dr. Mohamed Osman Elkhosht, speaking in an interview with dmc, has claimed Salah has donated $3m (roughly £2.5m) to help rebuild the institute – roughly half of the expected cost.

The incident was initially thought to have been an accident, but Egypt President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's message of condolence to the victim has hinted otherwise.

“I extend my deepest condolences to the Egyptian people and the families of the martyrs killed in the cowardly terrorist incident in the vicinity of the Kasr al-Aini area yesterday evening,” he said on Monday.

Salah, one of several high-profile figures to have made a donation, has made various donations to causes and campaigns in the past in his homeland.

A woman who uses urine therapy to keep her skin glowing has shared her experience.

A woman from the U.S. Ruby Karyo has said that drinking her morning pee twice a week makes her skin glow and her complexion fairer. Karyo said that she has been drinking her own pee and rubbing it on her face for over a decade. She claimed it improved her skin and overall health and she has been doing so since she was 19 years old.

The 30-year-old mum said her dad introduced her to ‘urine therapy’ when she was just 19 and it had been working well for her. Ruby splashed the pee on her face and used it as a moisturiser, claiming it helped her get a glowing complexion.

The minority caucus of the House of Representatives has called for the release of Omoyele Sowore, in the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

In a goodwill message to Muslims on the celebration, the Minority Leader, Ndudi Elumelu, said although the challenges facing the country were enormous, they could be surmounted if government rallied all Nigerians to work together as one people.

Sowore, the 2019 presidential candidate of African Action Congress (AAC), was arrested and detained for organizing the ‘RevolutionNow’ protest to demand major reforms in the country.

“The house minority caucus felicitates with Muslim faithful at Eid-el-Kabir, we call on our Muslim brothers and sisters to use the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir to pray for peace and well-being of our nation.

“There is a need to reflect on and imbibe the exemplary legacies of Prophet Mohammed, especially his life of love, forgiveness, and sacrifice.


“In the same vein, we urge President Muhammadu Buhari to order the release of Sowore, in the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir and in deference to democracy,” Elumelu said.

He noted that Nigeria was facing enormous economic and security challenges and urged the Federal Government to direct attention, energy and state resources toward surmounting them.

Elumelu said the expectation was that the government would rally Nigerians across the political, religious, and ethnic divide to work as one people to deal with the challenges.

He called on Muslims to pray for peace and security in the country and to imbibe qualities of peace, forgiveness, and sharing as practised by Prophet Mohammed, reports News Agency of Nigeria.

The Economic Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Wednesday continued the sealing off landed properties allegedly acquired by the immediate past governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorochas.

The agency said the moved was as a result of painstaking investigation, and as a result of the failure of those to whom they were traced to, to honour the EFCC’s invitation for interrogation. Operatives neither “raided” nor “harassed” anyone in the course of the action.

The properties include: Dews of Hope Hospital traced to Dr. Paschal Obi, ex-Principal Secretary to Okorocha; Market Square Supermarket; All in One Shop, and premises belonging to Imo State Broadcasting Corporation now hosting Rochas Foundation College owned by Senator Okorocha.

Others include: East High Academy and East High College, owned by Okorocha’s daughter, Uloma Okorocha-Nwosu; Royal Spring Palm Hotel and Apartment, a 16 block cum 96 flats and eight bungalow multi-million Naira estate traced to Okorocha’s wife.

Staff jailed for diverting N13m meant for Enugu pensioners.

An Enugu State High Court, presided over by Justice K.I. Okpe on July 22, 2019 sentenced a pension fraudster, Akpudili Anayo,to six years in prison for a N13million fraud.

EFCC had charged Anayo with forgery, impersonation, conspiracy and stealing. He had on April 8, 2019 pleaded “guilty” to the six counts preferred against him when he was arraigned, and he was convicted, accordingly.

Anayo’s journey to prison started when the Enugu State government petitioned the EFCC alleging fraudulent transactions traced to him.

The State Executive had on May 3, 2017 directed that the May, June and July 2017 pension/salaries of the state pensioners and three other agencies of the state government be paid by cheques after physical verification.

However, at the end of the verification exercise, it was revealed that the convict who was an Ad-hoc staff for the verification exercise, in charge of the system computing the names of the verified civil servants in the state, conspired and used the bank accounts of three fake pensioners to divert funds meant for the pension and salaries of the civil servants in the 17 LGAs of Enugu State.
