Davidson Isibor Akhimien has decried the recent gruesome murder of over 100 innocent residents of Plateau state, allegedly by herdsmen of Fulani extraction whose regime of terror has become increasingly worrisome by the day.

Akhimien who is running for the presidency in 2019 said this in a statement by his Presidential Media Office. Akhimien; while condoling with the families of the victims of the pogrom, wondered why Nigeria should continue to witness the spilling of the blood of innocent and defenseless citizens at a time when the country was not at war with another country. He expressed worry that the nation’s security agencies seem to have lost steam on how best to end the incidents.

According to him, no nation with a functional government and numerous security agencies such as Nigeria would allow the murderous tendencies of some armed gangs to prevail endlessly.
