READ!!! THE COMPLAINT OF A UITE TO GTBANK
I am Adekunle Muminat Oyenike, a 300 level student of the University of Ibadan. I
want the world to plead with GTbank to return my money. I know it's small-only
31, 179 naira. It is my own millions right now.
First, 21, 179 naira was deducted on Sunday, Feb 28, 2016 when I was paying
school fees of the University of Ibadan for a friend via Remita. The money was
deducted twice even though the first transaction was reported as 'Error.
Transaction unsuccessful.' I went to the bank countless times and exchanged
numerous emails. I even presented the receipts of the transactions in person and
via email. After over a month, I was told the money has been remited to the
government by the merchant bank and thereafter I was referred to the University
of Ibadan ICT centre. More than a whole month after I made the first complaint
to the bank! Of course, the school (University of Ibadan) been on strike for over a
month now.
Now, today (30th May, 2016) that everyone is supposed to be resting, I tried
withdrawing 10,000 naira with Gtbank ATM once again and it reported that it was
'Temporarily unable to dispense cash.' I withdrew my ATM jeje only to get an alert
later that 10000 naira has been deducted from my account.
Please, help me beg the bank to refund every kobo of my 31, 179 naira. I'm sorry
I made the mistake of opening an account with them. I will withdraw every kobo
and close the account once my money has been returned.

Seriously.... I hate d issue of paying with dt Remita also. Rather I paid my money in SUB and the payment was successful

For those going for authentication at the Federal Secretariat ,here are some useful tips to make things easier and save time:

1)If you want to authenticate (your OND,HND,First degree , Masters or PhD as the case may be)you need to go along with your O'level result.(notification of result print out from either WAEC or NECO website and certificate together with the scratch card used in printing).
2)Cost of authentication is #300/document(whether at the Ministry of Education or Foreign Affairs).WAEC scratch card is about #400 but sold for #800 at the Ministry of Education.
3)Once you know the number of documents you want to authenticate, multiply by it by #300 and proceed to [b]remita.net [/b]to generate a reference number with which you would make payment to the TSA account at any bank.(You can actually do the payment before going to the secretariat. Also note that most banks around the Secretariat claim to have network issues.
Make three copies of each document you are authenticating together with a copy of the deposit slip and print out from the bank.
4)The above can be done a day or two before embarking on the journey to Min of Educ or Foreign Affairs.
5)You must authenticate your documents at Ministry of Education before going to Foreign Affairs
6)Please try and arrive at the Min of Educ early and put down your name on the list at the Entrance of the Ministry.They don't attend to people till 10am. If you are called rather than rush upstairs,ask for the Revenue unit. At the revenue unit,present both the original of the bank slip and print out to the revenue office and in turn, you would be issued a government receipt. Make a photocopy of the receipt after which proceed to the 8th floor.
7)When its your turn at the office,you would be given a file to fill after which, present only your original credentials and the three sets of photocopies already made.They would cost it and ask you to go generate the reference number at a cyber cafe and make payment at the bank (but then you have already done all these).
Before I forget you would pay #100 for the file and #50 for a brown envelope.
In order not to be seen as too smart you can go out and come back in 10-15 mins. When you go back in,present th original receipt from the revenue unit with your original credentials and photocopies. You would be told to wait for it to be signed and sealed.After it is sealed you can then proceed to Min of Foreign Affairs.....

I am perturbed with the apparent refusal of some commercial banks to handle TSA(Remita) Payments,Most DIAMOND AND ZENITH BANKS here in Lagos i went for such transactions usually give me one reason or the other why they cant handle the transaction,worthy of note is their usually talk of "NETWORK CONGESTION"....This morning i visited a diamond bank branch in Okota i was told the network for remita is bad,i had to make frantic efforts to get to another bank to handle it,I suggest CBN dialogue with commercial banks to resolve this issue,its becoming very frustrating.

Go to first bank and get your transactions done Remita is fast,quick and simple any first bank branch they are really the best on this.

Or if you must go to the bank,

Its advisable u generate ur RRR number on the remita website first. Take d number to the bank and make payment.

The processing will be swift.
