What's the recent trend for Skilled Worker Visa Applications (standard).

I completed biometrics on 1 September and haven't heard from them. Application has been with DMC since then.

Any recent timeline?

Oh well, I don’t know about other countries but for the Uk. I have heard of nurses migrating and practicing in their field upon arrival to the UK provided they pass the NMC exam and have the Pin. And doctors too once they pass the plab exam or so. There’s another thread entirely for nurses and doctors and there are people who have gone through that route on that thread

Thank you for your thoughtfulness. But the link isn’t connecting and even while I tried to use google there wasn’t any precise page. Moreso to the general audience please is it only nurses that qualify to apply for the senior carer role. How about people who trained as Nursing auxiliaries and have certificates from Colleges of health technology here in Nigeria ? Can that fly as a NVQ3 equivalent? Putting in mind that health colleges here also do their practical trainings in hospitals and work alongside doctors and nurses. Registered nurses applying as a carer seem like career retrogression to me though. Sorry just saying. Also if anyone knows the accredited links to take the city and guilds exams and training please leave a comment. Thank you

Saw this and thought I should share

Please can anyone with useful information and tips on how to get an employer to sponsor you from outside the uk. All the jobs application have been rejected due to inability of the employers to sponsor. And from my findings the Certificate of sponsorship is the core document for the visa application. Please let the people who have gone through this route or have concrete ideas help us before the route gets saturated with other nationalities. Let this cup not pass us by please

Was it DIY or you went through an agent. If it’s DIY please I would like a few guidelines and if it’s through an agent I would like to be linked up with such reliable agent.

Timeline:
Application submission- November 11.
Biometrics- November 20.
Email for passport pick up- December 9.
Passport arrived today.

I really appreciate everyone in this group. Good news to those awaiting their decision

Please can you drop the contact or just email the contact of the person who helped you drop your name cos have waited weeks for the passport and I don’t understand this Naija frustration anymore. I need that passport desperately

I had to pay someone who did it for me.Quite pricey but it was worth it cos my name dropped the next day.I waited for several weeks but it never dropped so I guess it was money well spent.

Okies..I applied directly via NHS jobs and some of the interviewers do request you show your passport to the camera before they start the interview

Did the employers request for an international passport immediately because my passport isn’t ready yet. Was told it would be out after 6weeks

Good day, please I have gotten 2 jobs with NHS now after going through numeracy and literacy assessments and MS Teams interviews.
But the bottle neck is now is that they are refusing to grant me COS even after attending their welcome sessions and filling the forms they sent to me.
Please is their other way I can get COS or a visa to work in the UK
