simpleseyi: Less than a month ago, a First Bank night security guard with one of the branches was arrested for going to steal money from the ATM at night. The report further stated that the security man is an OPC member who earns 20,000 naira per month. How can a man be paid 20,000 per month to watch over millions or billions of naira when in actual fact the contractor company who hires the security guard on behalf of the bank takes at least three times of this amount. Why employ them through third party? I know that these contractor companies collect at least three times what they give the security guards because I have worked in 3 different banks over the last 11 years or so. I personally give them money every weekend. This is why many of these security guards are beggers in uniform. This is man inhumanity to man. CBN SHOULD LOOK INTO THIS BEFORE SECURITY GUARDS START CARRYING ATMs HOME AT NIGHT.

even cbn security personnel is base on two types. The staff security and the contract security. The staff security are the one that work in d sensitive area in the bank and Those one u see at the main gate are contract security. u can see dat cbn is also guilty of this.

I think the government shld be blame dont u knw those securitymen are being employed on a contract basis by a security compananies and all this men who were being recruited would be posted to different organisation and finacial institution in which their services are needed. As a result of this can u compare the benefit, the allowance,incentive, access to different types of loan a staff of a bank or of an organization wil collect to a securityman who has access to nothing except his peanut salary and a half bag of rice and vegetable oil he receive during xmas. The solution is that all banks and organisation shld recruit pple directly not frm other companies.the govt can alsd cancel all job which are base on contract. So if they ask u to drop something 4 them it is not a must if u ave u can give if not just move on.

My first semester result in my first year was 3.5 and am planning 2 sit for second semester exam soon. May God help me to attain the peak i desire. Am studing accountancy in one of the polytechnic any advice is welcome. This thread has really motivate me.

@jaymejate, the sch is now in the time of mid semester test so every student is preparing 4 one or two test dis week and next week so watch ur language.

u guys ave 2 be patient for now, i dont think a date ave been fixed yet morerover there are still some activities in which it ave been fixed to commence next week wednesday such as SUG election so u guys shld relax and get prepared because the mgt of the sch has been putting things in place such as the test-running of all the computers by the expert and formulation of question dat is going to be set so It wont be an hidden thing when a date has been choosen. well, actually it will be computer base that is what they sch do make use of. about the question its always just ten question they do set but the question always depend on ur course of study but last year as a commercial student who want to study accounting i was being given math, eng and current affairs and the time been given was 15min and u must make sure u click on the submit button after u ave finished all ur work also u must beat the time being given to u if not the computer will log itself out because it has been timed. but i dont knw how they are going to set dis year question just be prepared in all area just not to be caught unware. all is well

well if u can score like 65 and above ur name can be on the merit least but it all depend on this year student ptume performance. unlike last year i score 196 in jamb and i score 73 in putme and my name was on the merit list so be determine. with hard work and God u will make it. am also an accounting student ibpoly so feel free to ask any question, greatest napas.

Hello nairalanders, a close frd of mine need an advice on what to do abt his girlfrd who he intended to marry after he graduated frm sch this year based on their agreement(both of them), the girl is in the same univesity with dis frd of mine but she is in part 2. Just of recent she stops calling my frd, not to talk abt just ordinary flashing and she has never text msg my frd not to talk abt dis concluded valatine, she normally said she have no time for text msg. The issue now is that my frd is the one who do the calling and the text msg and he now told me dat he is tired of this girl attitude that he want to quit. But he said whenever he talk to d girl about her attitude she will say he should not worry and she also promise him that she is going to marry him but d issue is dat this girl doesn't call, flash not to talk of sending msg.
