HOW THE DEVIL ATTACK YOUR PRAYER LIFE. (7).

Luke 10:38-42 (KJV)
"Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word. But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her".

The above scripture shows that Mary got her priority right and she was disciplined to be focus on spending time with the Lord Jesus Christ.

You need a great deal of discipline to be focus to pray.

Make your prayer life your priority and do not allow anyone or activities distract you from prayer.

You need to deliberately stir up yourself to pray.
Listen to anointed messages on prayers.

Read books on prayers.
And attend church prayer meetings.
These will stir you up to pray.

5. Distractions.

The devil knows that once you will pray, you cannot be his prey.

Prayer is the greatest havoc you can cause the forces of darkness.

Distractions is one of the strategy that the devil uses against your prayer time.

Phone calls, chatting while praying, responding to social media etc are some of tactics of the devil to distract you while you are praying.

Unnecessary visitors or unplanned domestic works can be used by the devil to distract you.

Praying for at least an hour, should be the least a new convert should daily pray.

I always encourage Christians that are not new converts to strive to daily pray for one-tenth of the hours of each day.

That is praying for at 2hours and 24 minutes.

4. Lose of interest in prayer.

Another tactic that the devil can use to attack your prayer life, is by making you lose the interest in prayer.

When you are gradually losing your burden to pray.
When you are not encouraged or enthusiastic to pray again, it is the devil at work and plotting to suddenly attack you.

"And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities".

3. Reducing the time you spend in prayer.

When the devil wants to attack you, he will make you to start reducing the time you spend in prayers.

You will be having good excuses why you cannot spend quality time with the Lord in prayer as you use to do before.

The more time you spend in prayer, the more spiritual power you generate into your life.

When you begin to pray less, you will be losing spiritual power.

And spending less time in prayer will gradually expose you to the attacks of the devil and your enemies.

The Lord Jesus Christ marveled that His disciples could not pray for at least one hour.

Matthew 26:40 KJV
"And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?"

2. Wandering mind.

Effective prayer must be prayed from your heart like Hannah.

1 Samuel 1:13 (KJV)
"Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken".

In the above scripture, we see the secrets of Hannah's prayer life.

Hannah prayed from her heart.

So many people pray with their lips alone while their hearts are far away from their prayer.

And sometimes they pray far away from the God to whom they claim to be praying.

Matthew 15:8 (KJV)
"This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me".

Such people should not expect anything from God.

To overcome wandering of mind in during your prayer time. You can pray out audibly without being noisy.

Continued From Yesterday.

The Lord Jesus Christ told His disciples to pray, while He went away to pray too.

But when He came back, He found His disciples sleeping.

Because of sleep, His disciples could not pray for even one hour.

The devil still uses the same tactic of sleep to stop us from effective prayer life.

To overcome sleeping while praying.

Plan to have enough rest or sleep before you start your prayer time.

Then when you want to pray, get out of your bed.

Choose the physical posture that will help you be physically alert to pray.

Standing to pray can be helpful.

See the prayer posture the great prayer warrior, prophet Elijah chose to pray.

"So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees".

Whenever the devil wants to attack you, he first of all attack your prayer life.

2 Corinthians 2:11 (KJV)
"Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices".

These are some of the tactics the devil uses to attack your prayer life.

1. Sleep.

Matthew 26:40-45 (KJV)
"And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy. And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words. Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners".

From the above scripture we see that sleep has been the long age tactic of the devil to stop people from praying.

WHAT TO DO WHEN EVIL DREAMS PERSIST. (2).

2. Declare to fast till 3pm.
Once you wake up from persistent evil dreams, fast that day till at least 3pm of that day.

By your fasting immediately , you neutralize the power of the evil dreams.

3. Get scriptures against the evil dreams, meditate upon them and begin to audibly confess those scriptures against the evil dreams.

4. Be sensitive and obey the check, witness and impression of the Holy Spirit in your heart, so as to avoid the devil's implementation of the evil dreams.

5. Be watchful of where you go and your human interactions.

6. Live holy. If there is no loophole of sins in your life, the devil and enemies cannot manipulate evil dreams to come to pass in your life.

7. Begin to praise God with songs and dancing for your victory over the evil dreams.

Praise is an unbeatable spiritual weapon against evil dreams.
Spend at 30 minutes singing praises to God.

WHAT TO DO WHEN EVIL DREAMS PERSIST. (1)

From my studies of the scriptures, I discovered that the devil and enemies are persistent in their pursuit and attacks.

You must have this understanding, that despite all deliverance ministrations you will undergo, the devil and enemies will still attack you once a while with evil dreams.

Ephesians 6:13 (KJV)
"Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand".

If the evil dreams still persist, these are practical things for you to do :

1. Immediately you wake up from such evil dreams, give yourself to at least one hour fervent prayers.

Pray against the evil dreams you just had.
It is best to pray in tongues in such case.

If you are a born again child of God, but you are not yet baptized in the Holy Spirit with experience of speaking in tongues, seek for the experience.

You need it.
Speaking in tongues is a spiritual weapon to use against evil dreams.

BLESSINGS OF OBEDIENCE. (2).

God is the God of principles. He will not break His principles to bless you.

A lot of people want to claim the promises of God, while they are walking and living in disobedience to His principles, His voice and His commandments.

Isaiah 1:19-20 (KJV)
"If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it".

If you want to eat the good of the land, if you want to prosper supernaturally, the secret is your obedience to God's voice, His instructions and His Word.

God's blessings are not received by accident or luck.

Our first instinct when a person is singled out for unusual blessings of God, is to think they are probably lucky.

Our God is just and impartial.

Acts 10:34-35 (KJV)
"Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him".

If you want to get God's attention, begin to comply with His voice and His Word.

Nothing attracts God like obedience to his Word.

When God speaks and you follow his Word and strictly adhere to his instructions, you are on your way to unusual miracles.

The reason God bless Abraham, was because of his obedience to God.

Deuteronomy 28:1-2 (KJV)
"And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God".

The above scripture says, if you will obey God's voice and His commandments, He will set you up above all nations and blessings will pursue you.

You won't have to struggle to be blessed.

It has been said that the thought of our heart speak louder in heaven than our voices do on earth.

Whenever you pray, make sure that your heart is truly praying.

This is the prayer that will secure an answer from the throne of God.

It is to help us shut out all distractions of the earth and focus on God alone.

Learn to pray from your heart.

Continued From Yesterday.

When Hannah was praying for Samuel at Shiloh, the prayer was welling up from her heart to God most high.

“She spake in her heart.” This is the source of all true praying.

She was in bitterness of soul, and praying unto the Lord, and wept sore.

Her whole being was involved in this spiritual exercise. Her prayer was from her heart.

God is more concerned about what is coming from your heart than what is coming from your lips.

SECRETS OF HANNAH'S PRAYERS. (1)

1 Samuel 1:13 (KJV)
"Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken".

In the above scripture, we see the secrets of Hannah's prayer life.

Hannah prayed from her heart.

So many people pray with their lips alone while their hearts are far away from their prayer.

And sometimes they pray far away from the God to whom they claim to be praying.

Matthew 15:8 (KJV)
"This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me".

Such people should not expect anything from God.
