Alright thanks, how is the powdered corn prepared?

Does it react with boiling water forming pap just like the one without fiber? Or is there a special way of preparing it?
It doesn't form pap immediately hot water is put in it, you just have to place it on the fire and stirr for a while till it thickens.

SafeHealthCoach:
When the bean or corn in blended, does it need preservatives to last long?
If it doesn't, how long can it last without preservatives?
No, Bean Flour and Corn Flour doesn't need preservatives to last long, just storage tips.

Bean Flour can last for about 2–4 months in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.

Storage Tips:
- Ensure the beans are thoroughly dry before blending.
- Store the flour in double or triple waterproof bags and place it in an airtight container.
- Keep it away from moisture, heat, and direct sunlight.
- Use a dry spoon when scooping.

Why Bean Flour Doesn't Last as Long as Whole Beans
Beans naturally contain some oils. Once blended, more of the flour's surface is exposed to air, making it more likely to develop an off taste or become stale over time.

Corn Flour can last for about 3–6 months in an airtight container kept in a cool, dry place.

Storage Tips:
-Ensure the corn is completely dry before blending.
- Store it in an airtight container or double/triple waterproof bags to keep out moisture and pests.
- Keep it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
- Use a dry spoon whenever scooping it out.

Mariangeles:
When was the last time you drank garri?

For me, it's been long, I won't even lie.
I keep telling myself that I'll drink soon, plus, I need the picture in my food photos collection, because you know, garri is a classic.

Do you remember the last time you drank garri? Kindly tell us in the comments.

Let's keep our comments respectful, thank you.
The Fastest and Stress-Free Meal.
Whenever I'm too tired or lazy to cook, one meal always comes to the rescue is Garri, milk, sugar, and groundnut.

I had some this afternoon, and as always, it left me with that satisfying, sweet feeling.
Somehow, we were made to believe that Garri isn't good enough while processed cereals made from corn and wheat were presented as the better options. So, you'll find people talking down on Garri, yet many of those same people can't resist a chilled bowl of it when the opportunity comes.

Garri may be simple, but for many of us, it's comfort, nostalgia, and one of the quickest meals that never disappoints

Love800:
How do you store potatoes to stop quick spoilage and preserve dem?

And how do you store beans to keep away from weevils and preserve dem?
Potatoes:
Store potatoes in a cool, dry place and avoid stacking them on top of one another.
Also, do not keep them in bags or allow moisture and water to touch them, as these can cause them to spoil quickly.

Beans:
Do not expose beans to air for long periods. One method that has worked well for me is storing them in double or triple waterproof bags and then placing them in an airtight container. With this method, I can keep beans for weeks or even months without weevil infestation.

What is Social Media Management and Why Is It a High-Income Skill?

Social Media Management is the skill of helping individuals and businesses build an online presence, attract customers, and increase sales using social media platforms.

As a Social Media Manager, you can work remotely from anywhere and earn by helping brands grow online.

Smart Food Storage Tips Every Nigerian Woman Should Know

One thing that can be very stressful is having to visit the market every single day before cooking. Between traffic, rising transportation costs, and our busy schedules, many Nigerian women need smarter ways to manage their kitchens.

Some people cook in bulk and store food in freezers for weeks or months. However, with Nigeria's unstable electricity supply, relying solely on a freezer can be risky.

Over time, I've learned practical ways to store food items that can last for weeks or even months without depending heavily on electricity. Here are some of them:

🥣 Beans: I store beans in two ways:

- As whole seeds

- Ground into powder for making Akara and Moi Moi whenever I need them.

The dry bean powder is also a great business idea because it can be neatly packaged and sold.

🌽 Maize (Corn): I grind maize into powder for making pap whenever needed. It tastes amazing and is very nutritious because the fiber remains intact. Unlike many processed pap products where the fiber has been removed, homemade maize powder retains its nutrients.

This too can be packaged and sold commercially.

🍿 Popcorn Seeds: Perfect for making snacks and enjoying family movie nights.

🥛 Milk: Store powdered milk in a dry place.

🍬 Sugar: Keep dry and properly sealed.

🌶️ Pepper: Store dry pepper in airtight containers.

🧂 Seasoning Cubes: Buy in packs and keep them dry.

🍜 Noodles: Store in a cool, dry place. They have a long shelf life and are handy for quick meals.

🧅 Onions: Store in a basket or well-ventilated place to keep them fresh longer.

🍅 Tomatoes: I keep sachet or canned tomatoes because they are easy to store and don't spoil quickly.

🍲 Stew and Jollof Seasonings: Store dry and properly sealed.

🌰 Melon (Egusi): Grind and store it dry, making cooking faster and easier.

🍚 Rice: Very easy to store since it's naturally dry.

🥣 Garri: Store dry in an airtight container. Garri lasts for a long time and is one of the easiest staples to keep in Nigerian homes.

🐟 Dried Fish and Crayfish: Store in airtight containers to preserve freshness and keep away moisture and insects.

🥬 Vegetables: Having a small home garden is a blessing.

Plant vegetables like:

- Pumpkin leaves (Ugu)

- Scent leaves

- Curry leaves

This gives you access to fresh vegetables every day without running to the market.

🍎 Fruits: I buy only the little I need at the moment and plan to get more as time goes on. This helps to reduce waste and ensures we always have them fresh.

🛢️ Palm Oil and Groundnut Oil: Store in bottles or gallons. They keep well for long periods when properly stored.

🥚 Eggs: I avoid stocking too many at once to prevent spoilage. When I'm running low, I simply restock.

🧂 Salt: Easy to store as long as it stays dry.

For foods that don't keep well outside the freezer, such as chicken, fish, and bread. I simply buy them whenever needed or ask my husband to help pick them up.

As a Social Media Manager who works online, I enjoy staying indoors and maximizing my time at home. Learning how to store food efficiently has helped me save time, reduce stress, and manage my household better.

Wise Women don't just cook; they plan ahead, store wisely, save money, and create systems that make life easier.

Question for today: Which food storage tip do you already practice, and what other kitchen hacks have worked for you?

Your Phone Can Become a Source of Income
Many people scroll social media daily without realizing they can actually earn from it.

Businesses are looking for people who can:

✔ Create content

✔ Manage pages

✔ Reply messages

✔ Increase engagement

✔ Help brands grow online

Social Media Management is a skill you can learn and monetize from home.
You don’t need to know everything before starting. You just need the right guidance and willingness to learn.

📌 Our Social Media Management Class is available for anyone ready to learn a digital skill and start earning online.
Certification And Training AdvertsRe: Turn Your Phone Into A Source Of Income Through Social Media Management by RevenuesBoost(op): 5:51pm On Jun 14
Engagement Is More Important Than Followers:

Having 20,000 followers means nothing if nobody comments, messages, or buys from you.
A smaller active audience is better than a large silent audience.

To improve engagement:

- Ask questions
- Reply comments quickly
- Use relatable captions
- Post content people can connect with emotionally

Social media management is not just posting pictures, it’s building relationships online.

That’s one of the major things we explain deeply in our classes.
Certification And Training AdvertsRe: Turn Your Phone Into A Source Of Income Through Social Media Management by RevenuesBoost(op): 5:22pm On Jun 14
3. Consistency Beats Perfection:

A lot of people wait until they have perfect phones, perfect videos, or perfect ideas before posting.

But on social media, consistency matters more.

A simple post done consistently can grow faster than a perfect page that posts once in two weeks.

Start with what you have. Post regularly. Keep improving as you grow.

This mindset shift alone has helped many people become more confident online.
Certification And Training AdvertsRe: Turn Your Phone Into A Source Of Income Through Social Media Management by RevenuesBoost(op): 4:51pm On Jun 14
2. Stop Posting Only Products — Tell Stories

One mistake many business owners make is posting only “Buy from me” content every day.

People connect more with stories than constant advertising.

Instead of: ❌ “Available for sale”

Try: ✅ “This customer almost gave up on finding this product until she found our page…”

Storytelling keeps people interested and makes your audience feel connected to your brand.

In our class, we teach how to create content that attracts attention and keeps followers engaged.

Important Points To Note in Social Media Management

1. Your Page Is Your Online Shop

Many people open social media accounts but don’t realize that their page is their digital business space.
If your page looks empty, inconsistent, or confusing, people may visit and leave without trusting your brand.

Simple things that help:

- Clear profile picture

- Easy-to-understand bio

- Consistent posting

- Good captions and clean visuals

When your page looks organized, people naturally take your business more seriously.
This is one of the first things we teach in our Social Media Management Class because page setup alone can affect sales and engagement.

Interesting.

First daughter is always for the daddy and if there are more girls, then last daughter is for daddy. That's why you always hear 'daddy's girl'.

The woman always have to fight a battle with her which she never wins anyway as you cannot win a 'daddy's girl' over her claim to her daddy.

She will change to daddy as she grows older.
Alright, I will really like that.
FamilyRe: Potty Training Tips for Mothers : by RevenuesBoost(op): 12:04pm On Jun 14
Here are some things that helped us:

Create a Routine Early
Every morning, immediately Baby Light woke up from sleep, we placed her on her potty before doing anything else.
With time, her body adjusted to the routine, and she began to understand what the potty was meant for.

Pay Attention to Your Child’s Signs
As she grew older, we noticed little signs:

- Sitting up at night when she wanted to pee

- Making a face or funny sound when she wanted to poop

Every child communicates differently before they can fully speak. Mothers need to pay attention to these little body signals.

Night Training Matters Too
Around 9–10 months old, we started waking her up at intervals during the night to use her potty.
This helped reduce bedwetting and made her more aware of her body movements.

Teach Simple Words
At one year old, we taught her simple words she could use to communicate.
Whenever she wanted to poop, she would say “poo” while touching her bum bum and heading towards her potty. 😄

Even though she used the same word for both pee and poop at first, communication was already improving, and that was progress.

Correct With Patience, Not Anger
There were still accidents during the day. Sometimes she would pee on the floor instead of using her potty.

Instead of shouting, I gently corrected her: “No Baby Light, we don’t pee on the floor. You should use your potty.”
Consistency and calm correction helped her learn faster without fear.

Celebrate Progress
At exactly 1 year and 5 months, she finally started communicating whenever she wanted to pee during the day too.

Today, she no longer messes herself, the bed, or the floor.
The journey took patience and consistency, but it was worth it.

To every mother out there:
Potty training may seem stressful at first, but with routine, patience, and consistency, your child will learn. Every little progress is a big win. ❤️

Potty Training Tips for Mothers :

Some people believe there’s no need to potty train a child because they will eventually learn when they grow older. While every child is different, starting early and being consistent can make the journey much easier for both mother and child.

We started potty training Baby Light from the moment she could sit comfortably on her own without support, which was around 5 months old.

One thing I’ve learned is that potty training is not magic — it is consistency, patience, observation, and routine.

Our Little Jealous Daughter

It’s funny how such a tiny human can already claim ownership so confidently. The moment Daddy comes close to hug, gist or lay on Mum, our little madam suddenly appears from nowhere with serious face and tiny hands pushing Daddy away like, “Excuse me sir, this woman is mine.” 😂

From sitting in the middle, to demanding extra cuddles, to giving that look of warning anytime Daddy gets too comfortable, she has made it clear that sharing Mum is not part of her plan for now.
But honestly, these moments are the sweetest reminders of how deeply children love and feel safe with their parents. One minute we’re laughing, the next minute our hearts are melting.

Daddy is trying to negotiate ownership rights, but for now, Mum belongs to Baby Light according to family law.😂
