When you were born, your parent knew that you'll be born as a baby and as a baby you'll grow.. still a child and yet they had knives, glasses, gas cooker and still other sharp objects in the houses. I was at home on a wonderful day and there on my bed trying to search on the keywords that was filtering through my God's given head, immediately the message dropped on the brain like a 50 pages SmS on a Samsung Galaxy Phone where its sounds as if a drop of water drops on the ocean - "the lesson from a cigarette smoker".


This is a man who one day saw another man smoking and was invited to taste a stick of cigarette and he purposefully decided to taste to know how it actually feels. And on the first try, oh he it was a hit…. he coughed on the first take… he tried again…coughed again…try again… and that was it… wow… he finished the first stick and now without coughing.


To him, it went well, wow I feel high, I feel my heart calm, oh my head is okay… he exclaimed. BUT that was it.. he’s doing the will of his father, he is answering the call of his god…(the god of smoking)… he is just been obedience to his master.
What happen next, he smoked 1 stick at the start, but here he is on week 4 smoking 4 sticks of cigarette a day and here he is on year 4 smoking 4 packs in 4 days. Here he is, doing everything he could to save money to but cigarette. Here he is, and can’t sleep if he doesn’t smoke a day. Here he is, by just passing by he perceived the smell of cigarette along the road he’ll branch the place. Here he is, anytime his thought says smoke, he must get a stick. Here he is, talking…. “I can’t live without smoking”. He is always scenting smoke.

This man can’t stop smoking but you want to go back to sin, in fact you envy the people that dress shabbily, you jealous the people that make money in the wrong just because you want to be rich also.


This smoker loves to meet with his other smoker but do you always love the fellowship of other brethren and at all time.


This smoker spent much just to smoke but do you spent much for the sake of Christ and for the sake of the Kingdom.


This smoker only saw once the other smoker smoking and he keyed into, joined, partner, liaise, agree to do same and you how many time have you heard the word of Christ and ignore it – He (Christ Jesus) said…. the Kingdom of heaven is at hand… Repent!

*The Reason Why I Will Never Stop Weeping*

I came back from the usual journey back home, happy and full of energy and so excited but the worst had happen. When I entered into the adjourning street to my compound… a disturbing sight, a painful event…. there I saw my father hung on the tree, blood dropping down his body.. I cried but no strength in me to cry.

I cried, I cried, I cried, nobody to console me, I weep, t'was a sorrowing moment that will never end.

What did he do, who did this, why did they do it... ??!!!! Lots and lots of questions pops into the mind... I cried... I cried... I wept... I sob...

There and then an old man came to console me, while others at distance were screaming...see him there... he is the reason why the father died. I cried, I wondered and pondered why?

What happen....? the old man consoling me summoned courage and inform me.. Son! you are the reason why your father died remember that lie you lied, it did cause great commotion in the village, the Chief and the people were waiting to kill you, but your father with love upon hearing that, wouldn't want that to happen to you. So they kill him in your stead.

I cried... I cried.. Oh me.. what have I done...
Oh that is the reason I will never stop weeping, now lying and anyone form of bad act.. I stay away from it.

There's a very interesting passage of Scripture in the Old Testament which shows a commonality between nudity, sexual sins, idolatry, and rock-n-roll music. While Moses was standing upon Mount Sinai, receiving the Ten Commandments from God, God informed Moses of something tragic ... "And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves: They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people" (Exodus 32:7-9. This is so appropriately descriptive of America and Europe today.

We are a stiffnecked people!!! Carefully notice in Exodus 32:17 that Joshua tells Moses, "There is a noise of war in the camp." Moses listens and responds in Verse 18 saying, "It is not the voice of them that shout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome: but the noise of them that sing do I hear." It was rock-n-roll music... LOUD NOISE! Notice in Exodus 32:19,25... "And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot... Moses saw that the people were naked."

Psalms 119:9, “Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.”

The world is hypocritical. A whoremonger like KISS rock band's lead singer, Gene Simmons, can brag on national TV about having had sex with 4,600 women (whores), and society still respects him. Now he's even being featured in his own TV show. But just let one Christian get caught in adultery and society roasts him over the flames of hypocrisy. No wonder God said in Psalm 37:12, "The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth."

"War" is a powerful word, because lust is a powerful desire. God calls the struggle with sexual sins a "war." The old sin-nature is unchangeable. When a man becomes a born-again Christian, Jesus Christ comes in to live within his soul, in the form of the Holy Spirit. The key to the Christian life is to YIELD to the Spirit of God continually, "This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would" (Galatians 5:16,17).

Psalm 119:11 states, "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." David memorized passages of Scripture to help him live for the Lord. We should do the same! I memorized Hebrews 4:15,16 many years ago which comforts my heart often ..."For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." What a wonderful Savior!

Jesus told His disciples in Luke 22:46, "pray, lest ye enter into temptation." No wonder 1st Thessalonians 5:17 states, "Pray without ceasing." A war is composed of individual battles. We cannot win the war all at once. We have no choice but to deal with each battle, one at a time, as temptations attack us.

Mr. Johnson, 32 years, tall, handsome, had spent all his years on all he ever wanted, all the beautiful girls, all the cash to spend on drinks, parties, traveling’s, he enjoyed his life as he wanted, BUT finally sickness stroke, he was helpless. He thought within himself that a few hours with his family doctor at the family doctor's hospital will bring the cure in few minutes to him but this time, the case was different. The doctor tried his best, consulted his fellow highly qualified medical practitioners, home and abroad, yet Mr. Johnson health was deteriorating. He was getting worst and worst.

Finally, tears was dropping on his eye, he exclaim "is this how I will die" still sobbing. Just then Mr. Ben his High School classmate who was on Hospital Evangelism Tour decided to visit St. Brain Medical and Diagnostic Hospital where Mr. Johnson was staying. On getting there, the first room he entered was Mr. Johnson's room. Mr. Johnson who couldn't even say a word loud but only realized that Mr. Ben back in School had preached to him but he refused to give his life to Christ, but this time, his heart was broken, he pleaded for Mr. Ben to pray for him and decided that this time he will give his life to Christ.

That was how Mr. Johnson gave his life to Christ and was heal after the prayer from Mr. Ben

Now check your life, you too can be the same person in our story.

No one has to go to Hell. The only people who go to Hell are those who make their bed there, just as Psalm 139:8 teaches. We read in Matthew 25:41, “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.” God never intended for one human being to enter into Hell. It is mankind who makes his bed in Hell, choosing to burn in the flames of God's vengeance forever (2nd Thessalonians 1:8,9). Don't make the mistake of believing that skeptics and naysayers would convert if only they had more evidence or proof...

“Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead” (Luke 16:27-31).

If a person will not listen to the Word of God (i.e., Moses and the prophets), then nothing is going to convince them of the truth. Romans 1:20 tells us that nature itself PROVES, beyond any reasonable doubt, that there is a God... “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.”

Oh, listen my friend, you will have no valid excuse on Judgment Day when you stand trial before God (Hebrews 9:27; Romans 14:12). If you die in your sins, you will go to Hell (John 8:24). You need to have your sins blotted out; but you cannot do anything of your own merit or self-righteousness to remedy the problem (Isaiah 64:6). No matter how much good you accomplish in your earthly life, you'll still have sins on your record against you. The answer is Jesus Christ, Who paid for your sins in full with His own precious blood... “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot” (1st Peter 1:18,19).

We need HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS to have our sins forgiven... “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33). 2nd Corinthians 5:21 states, “For he [God the Father] hath made him [God the Son] to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” This is why we read in Romans 4:5, “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” Amen! Any sinner can be saved and go to Heaven because Jesus took our sins upon Himself; and when we place our faith in Him as our Savior, He places His righteousness upon our record. This is called IMPUTATION. We go to Heaven not because of our own self-righteousness; but rather, because of the righteousness of Jesus Christ.

The Bible tells us in Isaiah 5:14, “Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.” Hell is getting bigger and bigger every day, being occupied by tens-of-millions of people every day who die in their sins without Jesus Christ as their Savior. Please don't make your bed in Hellfire. If you do go to Hell, it will only be because you turned down the gift of eternal life (Romans 6:23), which God offers exclusively through His Son Jesus Christ (John 3:16; Acts 10:43).

Run now to Jesus Christ, WHERE AT THOU? For He alone can save you.

Time is short, whether you realize it or not; it speeds on, and every passing moment tells us so.

Since this is a fact of life, permit me to ask you these questions: Is there a chance we will meet on the other side of life, in the city of gold where there’s no day or night, a city where there will be no crying, sorrow, pain, disappointments or any form of hardship? Are you living your life according to the dictates of God’s Word or of the World? As you go through this fast-paced world, where the love of many Christians is waning; sinners are growing worse and going deeper into sin; Children are becoming more headstrong and rebellious; famine, pestilence, wars and rumours of war permeate the air; anarchy and oppression are becoming the other of the day; terrorism, kidnapping, paedophilia and all kinds of atrocities are everywhere, are you making plans for the hereafter?

Jesus will soon come to take His saints home, and thereafter judge the rest of the world. Are you prepared to go home with HIM, or are you waiting for His judgment? He is calling you to repent of your sins and believe the Gospel (Mark 1:15). It is not the will of God that anyone, including you, should but that everyone should come to repentance/ there is no sin too much or too small for God to forgive. He says in Isaiah 1:18, “Come now, and let us reason together… though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”
Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Come to Him by repenting of your sins, and He will accept you, cleanse you with his atoning blood, and make you ready for His return. Don’t procrastinate! Repent NOW when you still have the chance to do so.

It’s been a tough year for Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari. The mood in Africa’s most populous nation is a far cry from the euphoria that greeted his historic 2015 election — the first time in Nigeria’s history that an opposition candidate unseated an incumbent president in a democratic election. For weeks and even months after the vote, Buhari was a media darling, praised at home and extoled abroad.

Since then, the cheers have turned to jeers — even from members of the president’s own party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). Meanwhile, his administration cowers under attacks from a disillusioned electorate, members of the opposition, and even Buhari’s wife, Aisha, who said she might not vote for him in 2019, when he is up for re-election.

What’s behind the swift unraveling of Buhari’s presidency? His inability to formulate a coherent economic plan as Nigeria tipped into recession and unwillingness to make crucial decisions — as basic as appointing a cabinet — in a timely manner certainly didn’t help. But the main reason Buhari has lost the support of his countrymen is that the last year has revealed the central premise of his candidacy to be false:

Buhari’s first attempt to run Nigeria ended after a year and a half in the same manner it started: a coup d’état. Back then, Buhari launched a campaign to root out corruption, dubbed the “war against indiscipline,” which was accompanied by restrictions on free trade and free speech, as well as repression of his political opponents. Soon Nigeria was embroiled in a political and economic crisis that paved the way for his ouster.

By 2015, however, many Nigerians were ready to give him a second chance. Growing economic hardship and rampant corruption — and the seeming inability of then-President Goodluck Jonathan to tackle either — convinced them to embrace Buhari again despite his checkered past. To many he seemed like a competent leader — at least more so than the weak and feckless Jonathan.

But there is already a strong element of déjà vu in Buhari’s second stint at the helm. He has again staked his presidency on an anti-corruption crusade and again used it as a vehicle to target political opponents. Now, as before, Buhari’s legitimacy was built on empty showmanship, a hyped-up claim of superior morality and discipline coupled with a healthy dose of disdain for elitism, all quickly overshadowed by an economic crisis that he wasn’t equipped to tackle.

Part of the problem this time is that he promised much more than he could ever have hoped to deliver. On the campaign trail, he pledged to create millions of new jobs and make Nigeria’s currency, the naira, “equal to the dollar,” two Donald Trump-worthy whoppers that were about as likely to materialize as a border wall paid for by Mexico.

The fact that the media didn’t hammer Buhari’s campaign on the ridiculousness of many of his pledges speaks to the quality of journalism and punditry in the country. (Nigerian journalists have a reputation of being easily “bought” with cash in notorious brown envelopes.)

In any case, the results have been predictable. Instead of creating jobs, the Nigerian economy has shed half a million of them since Buhari took office, swelling the already bloated ranks of the unemployed to 13.3 percent. The current dollar exchange rate for the naira is about 455 to 1, compared with 260 to 1 around this time last year. Food prices have reportedly doubled across the country, forcing millions of people to go hungry as a famine looms in the north.

Not all of this is Buhari’s doing, of course. He inherited an oil-dependent economy only to watch the price of crude crater. He also inherited an empty treasury, the result of past administrations’ unchecked venality and failure to save when oil prices were high.

But Buhari’s actions, inactions, and posturing against free enterprise have helped make a bad situation worse. Despite spending the better part of the past decade campaigning for president, Buhari came into office with no idea who to appoint to his ministerial cabinet. Most presidential aspirants would have vetted potential appointees during their campaigns or at least during the transition. But Buhari didn’t name a cabinet until about six months into his presidency, blaming his inability to compose an economic management team on the fact that Nigerians were all “compromised.” During that time, capital projects like the building of major roads were stuck in limbo; protracted delays in approving the national budget also meant that federal ministries were unable to perform their basic functions. By the end of August, the economy had slipped into recession.

Admitting he’s no economist, Buhari’s economic decisions have been eccentric. Despite all indicators pointing to the need to devalue the naira following the loss of oil revenue, Buhari has declined to do so, insisting on applying stringent controls on the foreign exchange market and the importing of commodities like rice and frozen chicken.

Buhari seems to be betting on his administration’s ability to boost domestic production, even though the critical infrastructure needed to do so, like a stable power supply and functional roads, is not in place. The closest Buhari’s administration has come to articulating an economic plan is announcing its intention to borrow as much as $5 billion from foreign countries, including China and Japan. Meanwhile, disappointed investors are fleeing (or refusing to come) due to the unfavorable business climate. More than 250 companies have reportedly shut down in the past year alone.

Buhari’s much-heralded anti-corruption crusade has also largely proved to be a charade. The administration has initiated several investigations into financial fraud or misappropriation by former government officials, but so far there have been no convictions. The president has refrained from going after his close associates, individuals like Bola Tinubu, a powerful figure within the ruling party who was once described as “corruption personified.” Instead, it has been opposition politicians and members of his predecessor’s administration that have been the focus of his anti-corruption efforts.

Last month, he dispensed with due process altogether and ordered the state security service to arrest and raid the homes of judges who hadn’t been charged with a crime. According to the Buhari administration, the judges were corrupt. But the judges claim they were being framed as punishment for granting bail to critics of Buhari’s government. The incident caused a popular uproar and was described by the head of Nigeria’s judiciary as “deeply regrettable.”

Buhari’s gradual turn toward authoritarianism has revealed the emptiness of his central campaign pitch: Far from embracing the democratic process, he has sought to unilaterally impose his will and whims on the country, even when it means subverting the rule of law. There was perhaps no starker illustration of the president’s illiberal streak than his response to his wife’s suggestion that she may not support him in the next election: My wife, he said at a press conference on Oct. 14, “belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room.”

It is safe to say that Buhari’s misogynist remarks won’t bring his administration down or even diminish his popularity going forward. The truth is that many Nigerian men (and women) hold similar views. But if he wants to avoid a drubbing in the 2019 election, Buhari must put forward a realistic plan to fix the tattered economy while showing voters that he is indeed a “reformed democrat” and not the same old strongman they remember from the last time around.
