What is important is this: what else could make a man think that a ₦5 million loan at 10% interest, repayable within 24 to 36 months, is better than a ₦10 million interest-free loan with a 10-year repayment period, if not ignorance?

They do annual financial reports so every kobo is accounted for. Cooperatives save families particularly during strikes so tell your lecturer to go and rest and pay up his acada loan. Government is a continuity and so they should settle an agreement and see if loan is required to uplift the working conditions of academics. Why be in a rush to release a loan facility in less than 2 months but footdrag on implementing an agreement borne out of collective bargaining? You dey owe me money but u wan give me loan. ASUU is playing politics. Just a 7 days delay in salary has turned to strike? ASUU is allowing itself to be a political pown. There are people in my office who are yet to get their June salary and they still come to work while Salary section is working to fix it.

Oga rest if you're misinformed. Last month salary was paid on the 13th. April salary dropped second week of May. March dropped first week of April. It's a pattern that has been happening. Other agencies get paid before the 30th or even 25th. Why are tertiary institutions left out? Some pple have payment obligations that must be met before the new month. How do they cope?
